Working on a Dream and the Baby Got Books.

We are always thrilled to see the things we dig mash into each other and given this, it is quite awesome to see that the Baby Got Books has done a lengthy and in-depth review of David Masciotra's Working on a Dream - The Progressive Political Vision of Bruce Springsteen. It's quite thoughtful, so please do take a look, and as always, for your viewing and aural pleasure we have excerpt below.

"Working on a Dream is a unique book of musical/political scholarship. I am unaware of any similar...

Modern Family at the PopMatters.

You may think we are especially in love with PopMatters these days because of the recent piece they ran by the David Masciotra on the work of TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer. And we are. That said, it's nice to see some insightful commentary on Modern Family, which just wrapped-up it most excellent first season, regardless of the source.

Frangello. The Big Other. Slut Lullabies. Sweet.

Very excited to see Chicago writer and TBWCYL, Inc. favorite Gina Frangello being interviewed at The Big Other about the release of her quite fine short story collection Slut Lullabies. Please do take a look and please do obtain a copy of Slut Lullabies because it just might change your life. We think not.

What are some other things that you would make into a bed and sleep on?

Words. I think words would...

The new edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life is live. Homesick. And quite Davidson.

The new edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life is live and homesick. Or something like that. We have a new poem, Neighbors by Kelley T. Davidson, which we are way excited about, and, as always, photo action from Adam Lawrence, a music selection from Jason Behrends and state dinner prose love from Pete Anderson. We hope you enjoy this edition and we appreciate all shout-outs and links. Also, all submissions from this point forward are being managed via our good friends at submishmash and...
