The Best Damn Creative Writing Michael Kimball Artistically Declined Mud Luscious Blog...Period.

We of course quite dig the Dear Everybody by Michael Kimball and are quite excited then to have run into his fine interview with the quite fine The Best Damn Creative Writing Blog...Period, where Michael not only gets quite Kimball, and please do enjoy the excerpt below, but celebrates our good friends at the Artistically Declined and Mud Luscious Press.

And last but not least, do you own an e-reader? If so, which one? If not, why?

I don't own an e-reader. As close as I get to one is reading...

This Podcast Will Change Your Life, Episode Twenty-Seven - A Glimpse of Truth.

We were quite aware that TBWCYL, Inc. favorite Caleb J. Ross was disgruntled about the fact that we had not podcasted in a couple of months and so in tribute to his doggedness and charm we are happy to introduce the new episode of This Podcast Will Change Your Life - A Glimpse of Truth starring the Jason Fisk another TBWCYL, Inc. favorite and both a past and future, the quite immediate future really, contributor to This Zine Will Change Your Life. We hope you all enjoy it as much as we have...

WGN Radio 720. Behrends. Tanzer. Guth. Lit. Love.

We had the opportunity this weekend to talk literature on WGN Radio 720 with the Jason Behrends and our hosts Alex Quigley and the always lovely La Guth. Fun was had. Lives were changed. And rain was dodged. Please enjoy and many thanks to all involved for the invitation to riff on some of the things and people we love.

The week in review.

The good.

The bad.

And the ugly.

"This book did not change my life, but it certainly made it better for a while." Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine. Goodreads. Love.

Quite appreciative to receive some more kind words for Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine at the Goodreads. These are from Matt who has a series of kind things to say, but also neatly sums up the quasi-faux ethos of all the whole enterprise here at TBWCYL, Inc. We intend to change your life, if only for a little while.

"This book read like an excerpt from my life navigating lower Manhattan in the early 90's. I genuinely enjoyed it. This book is written as a series of...

Newcity Lit 50. Not. Gina Frangello and Robert Duffer. Goodness.

We are admittedly just getting over our devastation about not being included on the Newcity 2010 Lit 50 list, though that is not to disparage the entrants on the list itself all of whom rock. On the other hand, we are quite happy to see TBWCYL, Inc. favorite Gina Frangello not only come in at number nineteen, but score a more extensive profile/interview written by fellow TBWCYL, Inc. favorite Robert Duffer, both of whom we have had the pleasure of podcasting with. So when all is said and...

Tanzer. Feulner. The Book House. Albany. June 16th. Reading. Awesomeness.

Quite geeked we are. Next Wednesday night, June 16th to be exact, TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer is heading home to the wilds of upstate New York and will be reading with the sweetly bearded Glen Feulner of 63 Channels fame at The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza at 7:00pm. It promises to be most awesome, so do plan to join us for much fun and literary revelry.

Holy Binghamton. Repetition Patterns. And the wonderful Fading Ad Blog by Frank H. Jump.

Many of our stories including those in the collection Repetition Patterns take place in a fictionalized version of TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer's hometown of Binghamton, NY, and so we were quite excited when good friend and This Zine Will Change Your Life Assistant Flunky Pete Anderson tipped us off to a recent post on the Binghamton Greyhound Station in the quite wonderful Fading Ad Blog by Frank H. Jump. The photos are by Vito Berretta and they may not tell you everything you need...

"Insightful, humorous and oddly touching." Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine gets some Goodreads love.

Quite appreciative for the very kind words from Sherry on the Goodreads for Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine. We're not sure how Wes Anderson feels about her review, but we're quite thrilled about it and happy to share it with you.
"I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me a little of a Wes Anderson movie in the sense that it was comprised of little vignettes that would illustrate just how lost and vulnerable these characters were as they tried to navigate the beginnings of a...
