Island sounds really exciting! As a manga fan it sounds like a cool way to sort of bridge the gap between American monthly comics and japanese weekly magazines. Or at least a step in the right direction from creators I care about. Any chance submissions wi
Thanks. Hopefully it’ll be something new, or at least something that feels like it’s own thing. Growing up with a deep love of both Japanese and French it’s weird to realize that I would much rather be working in the modern American market than anywhere else- It feels like undiscvered country. and then past that it’s cool to try and think about what I’d ideally want as a reader here.So Island is an attempt at that. Fingers crossed.
I’m always looking for exciting comics. I never wanna deal with going through submissions, and having to send people rejections. I always like looking at stuff though. (even though I’m not always great at getting back to people)

I actually rather like the “beige pyjama” Skyhold outfit, which apparently puts me in the minority. What I do detest, though, is how the jacket moulds around the giant protruding breasts - that isn’t how jackets or breasts of any size work - and I think it looks particularly odd on the elf’s (otherwise) slight frame.
So in my head, I prefer to imagine a shirt tucked into pants situation (I also imagine that Leliana and Josephine would have had to employ all their arts to convince my Inquisitor to wear those very tight pants in the first place.)
To make up for my jacket-ranting, let me acknowledge how varied and reasonable the armour designs are. I particularly like the coat, for this character. I actually imagine that she uses the same one throughout the game, only periodically dying it darker to cover the stains, and I like to think she keeps it around and wears it for years afterwards until it’s practically disintegrating.

Here are portraits of my Inquisitor (Avriel) at various ages (with various possible hairstyles). #2 is the in-game look. #3 is the bonus, “I just got dumped by a god, only to return and discover that I’d screwed up a war table mission and killed my entire clan” look.
Also, family portraits. Because I’m that far past the point of no return. My life has been overrun and commandeered by elves - there’s nothing to be done about it.

I’m back from my island. Somehow it seemed natural that, on my return, I should discard every other plan and paint a giant monster/dog/wolf/beast/thing (with creepy humanoid hands) on my wall.
Lowering your Property Value: the Marian Method.
Just in case you made the mistake of thinking I was cool (haha, no), this is almost certainly a direct result of playing way too much (seriously, so much) Dragon Age.
Marian!
I'm excited about Island. Questions: Ongoing? I'm excited to see Lando's making contributions, Tsemberlidis? How much did your inkstuds tour facilitate you getting artists to contribute to Island, or in other words, How much of your inkstuds tour was reall
Thanks.
Yasss, 72 pages Monthly, ongoing.
Lando is fantastic. I’m thrilled to have him in the book.
The Inkstuds tour was pretty separate. I’ve been working on Island since long before that.
I think it’s a different approach to comic magazines. Less of an anthology and more of a bundle of full comic issues. So the reader gets a lot each month. three 20 to 30 page comics a month for the price of 2.
Regardless of if it works out, I think it’s worth trying.
