Hard to draw those shoes and not feel like you’re drawing claws.
What's the deal with the Million Man Mark? Do you get a million bucks if you kill him?
Sooo his name is a pun off of 1995 million man March in Washington, D.C.
(Spike Lee did an excellent movie about characters going to the event called Get on the bus)– but there’s no real connection to the character and the real march.– sometimes I dunno what I was thinking.
I think the idea with the character is that he’s a super assassin who is one in a million –or would get the mark on a million men. Something like that.
Hey Brandoon, how did you and Marian choose to go with minimalist lettering for the cover of 8house Arclight?
It came out of talking to my pal Joe Keatinge and him showing me this line of crime book covers by Brazilian designer/ illustrator Gian Calvi. I like how the design almost makes them look like school text books.
An earlier version of the 8house #1 cover even had lines like Calvi used.
So is 8House delayed? ComicList, PREVIEWSworld and Comixology are all giving me some bad news.
Yeah, it looks like it’ll be shipping a week later than I thought. Sorry for the wait.
The good news is that the book is printed (& I think it looks nice) and #2 is drawn and being lettered now.
