Once again, goddess of manga Rumiko Takahashi at work, this time in the distant past of the 1980’s.

Real object wants interspliced with strange objects for fantasy adventurers. Just really good.

Hey Brandon. In Kiem, Are Eurthum and Euthum different cities or a typo?

I didn’t notice that– but yeah, it’s the same place Xurxo just left the R out later in the book. He hand lettered the thing–

Did you in fact do any work on Transmetropolitan (i know you're not a fan of Vertigo's facade they put on)? I searched your page before asking, never saw a definitive answer. ComiXology seems to think you did work on transmet. Also, what is this transmet p

Yeah, I did 2 pages in

Transmetropolitan: Filth of the City

–  Nathan Eyring did the coloring off of a rough guide I made.. I was a fan of the series & used to go up to the Vertigo offices and pitch books to Tony Bedard. I remember we would argue about if Tranmet or Preacher were better books. (I was team Transmet)–  this was years before I decided to not take any corporate comic work.

Do you like Tank Girl? Could you imagine a colab? I feel like the whole "strange girl and her hairy halfhuman boyfriend in a special vehicle" isn't a coincidental connection

I think Jamie Hewlett, is a really interesting artist. Him & the early TG are certainly an influence on my stuff.  I really like when he would use photos mixed in with his drawings and just how much fun him and Alan Martin seemed to be having making the comics together. It felt like an inside joke between friends.

I like the place it held in the days of the early run.– From Wikapedia–> “

Tank Girl (T-shirt) made for the Clause 28 march against Margaret Thatcher’s legislation. Clause 28 stated that a local authority “shall not intentionally promote homosexuality or publish material with the intention of promoting homosexuality” Deadline publisher Tom Astor said, “In London, there are even weekly lesbian gatherings called ‘Tank Girl nights.’”

sooo that’s cool.

I think the movie was the death of it being reinvent in anyway I care about. It. & I remember hating the awful (Peter Milligan written) Tank Girl : The Odyssey. It seemed like a mistake to continue it without both Hewlett And Martin.

I haven’t read any of the newer stuff but It dosen’t look like my scene. I’d love to see what

Hewlett & Marian would do together now if they showed a Tank girl who had aged with them –in her late 40s

but yeah, the old stuff is great.
