Shot in the dark here but if islands is a comic anthology/zine comic can artists submit comics to run in it or is it just for image comic artists?

It’s just artists and writers who me and Emma Rios think do cool work.

We’re not looking for official submissions or anything but I’m always up for looking at stuff. I like stuff.

Have some more pictures of my elf, guys. I drew them while I was killing time waiting for Trespasser.

Here I give you scenes from her childhood in the alienage, and from her adult years with the Dalish. Her little sister (at the top) was found and taken by Templars before her family managed to flee. I may have pointed out already that every fantasy game character I make gets a little sister tacked on - it’s my easy formula for attachment.

Mtceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

SPX Guest Ron Wimberly’s Signing Schedule at the OOSA Booth (W44-46)

That’s right folks, our friend Ron Wimberly will be available for you to meet and greet at the OOSA booth both days of SPX! You can find him at our tables the following times:

Saturday 4:00-5:00
Sunday 2:30-3:30

Bring your books for him to sign or buy something from him at the show. (I suggest bringing copies of the variant covers he did for Dead Letters since OOSA artist Chris Visions will be there to sign it as well.)

We may also have a special limited edition something-or-other just for the occasion, too.

And be sure to check Ron out on the following panels during the weekend:

Black Art Matters

Black Art Matters. Join SPX for an hour of listening to black creators Darryl Ayo(Press (A) To Talk), Ron Wimberly (Lighten Up), C. Spike Trotman (Iron Circus Comics), and Whit Taylor (The Fabric of Appropriation) discuss their experiences as comics creators and what it means to make art that speaks about the black experience in American comics. Moderated by Keith Knight.

Royalboiler Redux

lost-in-line:

sloaneshutup:

From Under Mountains is a fantasy comic (connected to the currently running 8House series) written by Claire Gibson and Marian Churchland, drawn and colored by me and lettered by Ariana Maher! A short synopsis of our story:

Set
in the world of Akhara, the story introduces us to a lord’s daughter, a
disgraced knight, and a runaway thief whose unlikely partnership will
change the course of a world locked in a bitter conflict between rival
clans.

You can read more about it in this interview here.

We’re all really excited about this story and we hope you like it too. This is my first monthly-running comic series and even better, its my first time working with an all woman/NB/GQ team!

The first issue is out in stores September 30th! The diamond ID is JUL150629. (Pre-ordering is a big help for us, as is reblogs, posts and tweets!) You can also keep an eye on the Image page for FUM to see when the next release is.

Other stories in the 8House universe: 8House: Arclight, 8House: Kiem, 8House: Yorris, 8House: Mirror

PS: If you’d like a PDF copy to review for your site, feel free to email me at sloaneleongart at gmail. Thanks!

This looks really cool.

orbitaldropkick:

Kill Six Billion Demons is a weird fantasy comic that I draw entirely on my own time and money. It currently only updates once a week. I really, really want to draw more of the comic, faster. If that tickles your fancy, and you want to be a part of this crazy effort, then consider supporting me over on Patreon!

Please spread the word! You can read the comic here.

I like this comic.
