Faith
In February our family expanded as we welcomed our second set of twins, Leonardo and Celeste. Our son arrived pink, chubby and healthy. Our daughter was born frail, blue and deathly ill. We learned of her congenital heart disease prenatally, but the severity of it could only be fully assessed upon her birth. It’s hard to believe that so much can go wrong not only with the development of the heart but the electrical system that insures it beats correctly. Celeste has been in and out of cardiac intensive care for more than four and a half months over the past seven, and she has weathered seven surgeries. While this experience has shaken our family to its core, it has also provided an unexpected invitation to reaffirm and practice our faith, watching it grow more strongly each day – right alongside the daughter we have come to call our warrior princess.
Here is what I know to be true. No matter what life delivers, my every moment is rooted in a deep and unshakable faith; a conscious acknowledgement of an all-loving and all-embracing power that guides me and constantly moves me into more. That’s right – amidst catastrophic health challenges and life and death experiences – I am expanding into greater states of love and connection.
Faith asks us to relinquish control and trust in a divinely-guided outcome that will unfold in a perfectly ordered way that is never fast enough for us. Its practice is highly personal and in our home it is demonstrated in a multitude of different ways. Candles burn constantly, and the smell of temple incense permeates the air. From my wife’s devout and fervent repetition of prayer on her rosary, to my mother’s morning practice of reciting ancient scriptures in Sanskrit, neither of these powerful women are beseeching an outcome, but in their own way are cultivating the courage to align with the highest outcome to unfold. My almost three-year-old twins find great comfort in their nightly prayers in which they give gratitude for everyone who is a part of their lives. And my practice is as seamless and grace-filled as breathing. Resting in the awareness of my breath, which has become my living meditation, provides me a conscious recognition of the divine spark that lives at our core. It is at the foundation of my work, my play and my contemplation. With every breath I am filled with life, and life is the greatest miracle of all.
We all struggle, and when life challenges us we are best served by learning to cultivate a can-do faith; one that is rooted in expressing spontaneous, right action born of the heart. At just two days old Celeste was taken out of our arms for a surgery that we were told she may not survive. My faith allowed me to trust that if life was to deliver this heartbreaking scenario then it would in turn guide me through it and provide my wife and I with a greater capacity to endure whatever comes. When you place faith in the forefront of your awareness, it has the ability to steer you through even the most challenging of situations.
Faith needs our constant nurturing. It is easy in moments of challenge to throw your arms up and question the essential nature of life. Death, divorce, health challenges, emotional stress and financial catastrophe are just a few of life’s curveballs that provide us with an invitation to make faith a part of our daily lives. We are not being punished nor are we victims. In truth we are being given an opportunity to demonstrate our own personal empowerment. We’ve rediscovered with Celeste’s health challenges that life has its own rhythm and that the more we are rooted in faith, the more we are empowered to meet each moment fully, less reactionary and certainly filled with greater love and grace.
Today life in our home is a moment to moment adventure. Even though Celeste is more stable, we have more surgeries in her future. Her condition keeps us firmly rooted in conscious awareness. We slow down more, take time to hug and kiss our kids, spend more time with each other, argue far less and no longer take anything in our lives for granted. Our grief over time has transitioned into gratitude. Jan and I know that no matter what happens with Celeste, our faith will carry us through.

The # 1 Reason To Treat Yourself With Grace
What would you do if I told you that the care and feeding of you were no different than the care and feeding of the Divine? If you accepted this truth how would it shift the way you live?
When I see you, I see nothing but divine brilliance. You are a direct extension of source energy in this reality; everything you say and do, to and for yourself, you are also saying and doing to the Divine. Would you tell God that it was 20 pounds overweight? Would you tell the Divine it was terrible at picking a life partner? Would you beat up the Divine for not doing a better job at parenting?
The answer is no. You wouldn’t. So why do you say it to yourself?
Your ability to see yourself as a divine embodiment shifts everything at the deepest level. It expands your vibration exponentially. And how you vibrate is what the universe echoes back to you in every moment.
You've related to yourself as everything other than your deepest truth. And, as a result, you’ve lost sight of the importance of self-respect and self-care.
Each morning when you wake up, recognize that each time you catch your reflection you’re looking at the Divine. Allow every thought word and deed to originate from a place of conscious acknowledgement of this truth. Last but not least, make one conscious choice that respects you and makes you feel great.
When you source your reality from these truths, your entire reality shifts. You begin to choose naturally the highest outcomes for yourself. From what you eat, to what you watch, to the company you keep. This greater perception of divinity leads you into the lives of individuals who can support you. Solutions will begin to arise from the unlikeliest of places. Everything from health tips to life strategies will come into your awareness. Events and groups also interested in living their best lives will reach out to you.
Above all else, you will begin to love the person you see in the mirror every day. The false perception of victimhood will fall away, and the victorious nature of life and living will become your new way of operating in the world.
Allow these words to become your new mantra-
“I love, honor and respect myself through all my thoughts, words and deeds. I am worthy of my own grace.”
You are the source of your fulfillment. When I see you, I see nothing but divine brilliance. My greatest wish is that you see it as well.

Three Powerful Insights to Finding Fulfillment
As human beings, we are always on a quest for fulfillment. We often hunger for a purpose or calling that will bring us into our authentic selves. We long to commit fully to our best lives and wonder what it is we need to find to feel whole and fulfilled.
However, our human brain tends to forget that our spirit does not operate from the dimension of need. There’s nothing to find. It always operates from full and overflowing energy. The wholeness we seek outside ourselves is inside us right now. And while we frantically search for contentment, the abundant wellspring is ready, waiting to be uncovered by us.
Here are three ways to help you unleash your powerful source of energy and discover true fulfillment.
Be Amazed
During the course of your busy everyday routine, you may not take the time to see that the beauty of life around you. Finding what makes your jaw drop with wonder puts life’s everyday monotony into perspective. Make time to walk through a park, take a hike in the woods, or visit an art museum. Gaze up at the moon, or down at an anthill. Let the potent vibrational energy you feel in the presence of something magnificent infuse your being and recognize that same energy resides in you as well.
Prioritize You
While you run to dental appointments, soccer practices, and budget meetings, it’s easy to lose sight of your true needs. Carve out uninterrupted time during the day to get in touch with your vibrational energy. Forging that bond and awareness on a daily basis helps you make thoughtful decisions and remain present in your life. This powerful connection is there for you unconditionally, and the strengthened vibrational relationship with yourself enables you to be more available for others.
Go Inside
When you connect to spaciousness within you, your external reality – your career, your relationships, or your life - doesn't have to transform into something other than what it is. You can simply be who you are. Deep down you know fulfillment doesn’t come from food, jobs, or your idea of romantic love. It springs organically from your soul. Your sacred inner connection to your spirit is what drives your life, delivers your true fulfillment, and provides the acceptance and wholeness you crave.
Mother Theresa once said, “Life is a promise. Fulfill it.” Your journey toward fulfillment begins and ends with you. Honor yourself. Connect with your spirit because when you source your life from love, you’re keeping the most important promise there is.

3 WAYS TO TURN WORRY INTO WONDERFUL
Benjamin Franklin once said, "Do not anticipate trouble or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight." While looking on the bright side is the key, how often do the shadows of worry dim our luminosity?
Worry thrives in darkness and tends to grow exponentially when you're just about to fall asleep. As you're dozing off an idea pops into your head, and the worrisome thoughts start spreading like a virus.
"I'm going to fail at this job."
"I don't have enough money."
"What if I lose my health insurance?"
"I'm going to die alone."
Instead of mentally whirling like a dervish into the wee hours of the morning, the solution may be something you never imagined. Could the worry keeping you awake at night also be the spark that moves you forward? Is worry the catalyst that shifts your energy from doubt and anxiety to calm and harmony?
Here are three ways to make peace with worry, halt the creeping panic and put your sleepless nights behind you.
PERFORM A REALITY CHECK
Worry robs us of our ability to reason and prevents us from thinking clearly in the moment. Take a minute and honestly assess the reality of the situation that's troubling you. You feel a lingering pain in your stomach one evening. You worry it might be cancer. At this moment, take a breath and perform a reality check. Do you really think you have cancer or might it be the burrito you ate for lunch? Calm your mind and think it through. If the pain increases or persists, phone your doctor. Until then, breathe, decompress, and consider how adopting healthier habits could help alleviate stress around your well being.
REALIZE ALL WORRY IS NOT CREATED EQUAL
Not all worries that run through your head are so far-fetched. You may be confronted with some difficult realities. Perhaps you fear you'll be let go from work. You think worrying will get you ahead of the game, eliminate surprise, and start working up a game plan. While worry itself won't give you the answer, the concern about losing your job can be a stepping-stone to helping you find solutions. Take a step back and recognize that you can shift your vibrational energy away from the "what if" fear and toward preparing an actionable strategy. Your mind will ease, leaving you to focus calmly on a solid Plan B and help relieve anxiety around the problem.
TRUST AND LET GO
Worry itself doesn't solve or fix anything. It does prevent you from living with clarity in the present moment. Worry often creates more turmoil and doesn't change what will happen to you tomorrow, next week, next year, or in your old age. There comes a time when you just have to accept the unknown and understand some things are simply out of your control.
Worry is wasted energy -- energy that can be spent productively living our wonderful lives, not spinning our wheels. The future can be frightening at times. However, when we let go and trust in our limitless abundance and divine path, it's much easier to keep in the sunlight.

THE POWER OF ONE MAGNIFICENT YES
"No. It can't be done."
"No. It's not the way I do things."
"No. We don't have the funds for that."
"No. That wouldn't work because (insert your excuse here)."
Sometimes our lives can be filled with one big bag of no. When faced with a proposition or question, "no" is often our knee-jerk response. Saying no can become habitual, an automatic response as natural as blinking. It can stop you from taking that trip to Paris, from agreeing to a first date or presenting an innovative new idea in your workplace. It can be used to pave the path of least resistance, absolve you of responsibility, or feed your hesitation around the unknown. "No" forces everything into an energetic stand still. It instantaneously throws up a wall that stops your flow and cuts off life's endless possibilities.
It's amazing how a little two-letter word can wield so much muscle. However, there is one word that has infinitely more power, intensity and vibrational fortitude than the mighty 'no.'
It's the epic, magnificent 'yes.'
Saying yes evokes undeniable shifts in energy. Where saying no shuts everything down, "Take a risk? I don't think so," "I'm not open to anything different," "I don't want to deal with strangers," a 'yes' opens doors to exhilarating potential. "Yes. I want more from life," "Yes. I'll take a chance and try something new," "Yes. I'll put myself out there and meet new people." Just one magnificent 'yes' has the power to lift your frequency, skyrocket your vibration, and transform your life in countless, unimaginable ways.
On the other hand, "saying yes" does not mean agreeing to everything. Reserve your magnificent yeses for what is in alignment with your soul- even if it's scary, seems difficult, or not what pleases others. Saying yes is taking a leap into the unknown and not allowing "no" to be your default simply to avoid uneasiness. Coming from an authentic place of yes means loving and honoring your true self enough to step courageously out of your comfort zone and into your most amazing life.
Yes is the essence of openness, freedom, and Divine love. Once you begin triumphantly saying yes, life flows, opportunities arise, and people appear that elevate your course and frequency forever.
Switch off the "no" and allow the extraordinary to unfold. Your world can be lifted to amazing heights with just one magnificent yes.

Five Signs You’re Living Your Soul Signature
How do you know when you are living your potential? Why is it that some people seem to have the Midas touch while others are always struggling? Are some people just lucky or born under the right astrological influence? Is living your Soul Signature something everyone can access?
The answer to all of these questions is simple—you can feel the difference. You may not be able to pinpoint what it is exactly, but people who are living their Soul Signature seem to have an aura about them, an intriguing quality that draws you in and welcomes you. You can sense the deep authenticity of their expression while having a conscious or unconscious recognition of your unique, vibrational resonance.
Here are five signs you are living your Soul Signature:
1. Your life reflects the richness of a soulful existence, not just materially but spiritually.
People who have unleashed the immense power within them are at peace with themselves and the world around them. How can you feel at peace within when you’re still trying to figure yourself out? Remember this: Feeling peace with yourself is the definition of success.
2. Your focus shifts from ego-centric to altruistic.
You no longer ask yourself, “What’s in it for me?” Instead, you think about how to serve everyone around you and how your soul’s true resonance can reach and elevate the most people. People who are living their Soul Signature know that life is about something greater than them. Your primary objective is to uplift everyone around you.
3. You realize the futility in fighting against yourself.
Most people are at odds with themselves all the time. When you come into harmony with yourself, you become a vessel for something greater to come through you. Creativity flourishes when your mind, body and spirit work together. Rather than have just one aspect of yourself dominate your experience, every facet works synergistically to allow for the complete expression of your spirit to come to life in all you do. All great art, music, performance and business are born of this alignment. You love what you do and more importantly, you love who you are.
4. You become an inspirational spark for everyone around you.
The more you know and accept yourself, the greater your ability to expand this magnificent potential for everyone on the planet. When you are living your soul signature, exponential growth extends well beyond you, your family and friends. Everyone on earth benefits when your vibrational energy goes mainstream.
5. You are committed to living as the Divine created you.
Ultimately, the previous steps are a byproduct of embodying your unique design and your soul’s authentic expression. If the Divine created you and the Divine is pure perfection, you are that absolute perfection as well.
If you’re tired of the internal struggle and feeling like you’re just getting by, stop doing what you’re doing and start being who you were meant to be. Awaken your spiritual DNA, embrace your brilliant Soul Signature, and feel the difference that will change your world.

PANACHE AND JAN WELCOME A NEW SET OF TWINS
Beloved friends,
Jan and I are overjoyed to announce that we are parents once again as we welcome the birth of our second set of twins, Celeste Marie Desai and Leonardo Panache Desai. We could not be more in love with them.
We longed for a large family and the addition of these two beautiful babies has filled us with more gratitude and elation than we can express. Big two-year-old sisters, Olivia and Sophia, cannot wait to meet their new siblings.
We are so thankful for the incredible gift of life we’ve received from the same surrogate who carried our girls. The birth of these two precious children is proof there’s a greater version of possibility than we could ever imagine.
The twins were born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at approximately 10:30 am CST on Tuesday, February 10th. Celeste weighed 6 lbs. 4 oz. and Leonardo weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz.
Thank you for your love and thoughtfulness. We appreciate your blessings and hold you all close to our hearts.
With much love,
Panache and Jan

Remembering Auschwitz
"Never again."
These two simple words united the world in the wake of the Holocaust. It was a promise to past and future generations that we would ensure the horrors of the “greatest crime in history” would not be repeated.
This week marked the 70-year anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. But in the past seventy years, what have we learned?
After these many years, you’d think we’d have evolved to a point where we no longer engage in genocides, mass murders, or flagrant violations of international law. But we do.
More than five million Congolese lost their lives after the Democratic Republic of the Congo was invaded and occupied by Uganda's army in 1997. The Rwandan Genocide was the mass murder in 1994 of an estimated 800,000 people. In the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the three-year war between the Serbs, Croats, and Muslims resulted in mass genocide. The devastation prompted U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Richard Holbrooke to call the conflict, "the greatest failure of the West since the 1930s."
The Killing Fields of Cambodia, Partition of India, Stalinist Russia, The Cultural Revolution in China, North Korea, Darfur, Syria. These acts of genocide happened after World War II, proof the world has remembered little since the Holocaust.
If you want to honor the memory of the prisoners of Auschwitz, you must speak out whenever and wherever hate, oppression, or annihilation threatens the lives of innocent human beings. Lobby your governments to make humanitarian and moral considerations a precedent over economic and political interests in the fight against global terrorism and crimes against humanity.
The two words that united the world should remain our rallying cry today. As spoken by Piotr Cywiński, director of the Auschwitz memorial at Tuesday’s ceremony,
“'Never again' is not a political program, but a personal decision. It means, never again because of me, never again in me, never again with me. I believe that never again rests with all of us.”

The Real Contribution of Dr. Martin Luther King
Across the country this week we honored the life and memory of Dr. Martin Luther King. While we may remember him most for his moving speeches and bold social activism, King’s greatest contribution to American society was far more profound than having a dream. His most significant accomplishment was to the end the energetic enslavement of African Americans.
King’s motivation to affect change was not about changing the minds of white America. It was not about the smaller though no less significant, unjust and demeaning acts committed against African Americans such as riding in the back of the bus or using a “Blacks Only” public restroom. His true focus was to eradicate the terror of living as a black person not only in the south, but also across the United States.
In the post slavery era, an entire segment of the American population was systematically undermined and suppressed. They were savagely beaten or lynched at the whim of a white man or mob. If black men or women were harassed, humiliated or abused, they could not fight back for fear of inciting worse brutality or even death. This perpetual energy of horror and dread permeated the culture and kept the African American community anxious, afraid, and traumatized.
However, a movement was building, and something began to change. The African American community grew tired of being threatened, subjugated, and repressed in the most horrific ways. Social uprising was brewing, and Martin Luther King was their hope. They began to realize if they powerfully joined together and stood up to their oppressors as one, they would be truly emancipated. They would finally be free.
During this time of change, imprisoned black men would not riot or show fierce aggression. Instead, they would sing in praise and hope. They would not allow the viciousness or the injustice they were experiencing break their spirit. They knew that lifting themselves above this type of terrorism through song was the only way to remain whole.
Martin Luther King empowered the African American community to let their pain wash through and ascend in spite of their torment. It was this refusal that invoked real change in the social fabric of American society and ended the overt racism that perpetuated their suffering.
In the end, it wasn't the Civil Rights, Fair Housing, or Voting Rights Acts that ended the outright oppression. It was the fact an entire segment of the American community became empowered to stand up and refuse to be terrorized. Even today, racism has not ended. It’s evident not only in America but all over the globe. There are still countless barriers to break down. Still more dreams to dream.
It is my great wish that Martin Luther King’s legacy will continue to inspire humanity. As a species, I hope we will be empowered to let our collective fear and pain wash through, raise our beautiful voices and strive to rise above unspeakable atrocities to create a more peaceful and loving world.

I Accept
It’s Monday morning. There’s a big meeting at work, and you cannot be late. In a nervous rush, you skip breakfast, scramble to locate your keys, and head out only to find a dead car battery and torrential rain.
No matter what’s happening in your life, you can shift gears, expand your energy, and restore your flow. Be still, take a breath, and say ,“I accept.”
Two Words That Will Change Your Life
When you take the time for stillness amidst the chaos, you stop the momentum of a frenzied thought process. This precious pause allows you to stay anchored in the moment, transcend the world of “doing,” and consciously connect to your true self. When a situation arises, stop; take a breath, say the words, “I accept” and fill in what’s happening at the moment. Your conscious acknowledgment allows you to embrace the stillness and let the anxiety, anger, or frustration pass through you. Acceptance defuses turmoil in your moment of need. You take a moment to recognize your emotions, experience them, and let them pass – making room for spaciousness and clarity to deal with the issues at hand.
A Soulful Reality
Acceptance is the doorway to your optimal vibrational state: harmony and flow with everything that’s authentically unfolding. Your optimal state allows for efficiency. It’s difficult to flow with present challenges when you are weighed down by denial. The more you accept reality, the easier it is to meet and receive all of life with neutrality. When you embrace acceptance fully, you're not accessing your life through the conscious or the unconscious. You're accessing it through your soul.
The Three-Minute Daily Healing Routine
Practicing acceptance is not limited to the speed bumps you encounter in life. It needs to become a healing daily routine. Make your objective completing at least three minutes of relaxation, stillness and acceptance every day. It can be over your morning coffee, on a walk to the grocery store, or in your office with the door closed. Performing this daily ritual will help you lessen self-scrutiny, honor your sacredness, and put you back on the road toward your peaceful, authentic self.
