God, My Idea Is Better

Ever think or feel like you have a better idea than God? A better plan than Him? That your will is better than His? There are five letters of the alphabet when put together in the right order sum up what this is, and the word comes with a big warning. PRIDE. Pride is sin against God. It is despicable to God. It is an abomination to God. And He makes plain and clear in the Bible over and again we need to GET RID OF PRIDE. We need to HUMBLE OURSELVES before Him!

The Lord’s plans and purposes...

Love, Grace, & Mercy

The Lord’s love does not ever fail (1 Cor. 13:8), His mercy goes on forever (Psalm 136:1), and His grace is enough (2 Cor. 12:9), so shouldn’t we who are made in His image and are to be conformed to His image extend to others LOVE, GRACE, & MERCY just as we receive it from Him? YES!

I woke early one morning with this message strong on my heart as I believe the Lord wanted to show me – and for me to share with you. Love, grace, and mercy are three aspects of the Lord’s character to which we...

Dangerous Doubt

The Bible makes clear faith is a fundamental ingredient in pleasing the Lord, and faith in Him is how we are called to live. Doubting who the Lord is, doubting what He says in His Word, and doubting what He desires for each of us personally as He speaks to our hearts and leads us down life’s pathway is dangerous because it will lead us astray of God’s will for us and is displeasing and dishonoring to the Lord.

Four “d” words. Doubt. Dangerous. Displeasing. Dishonoring.

As much as I love the...

Trials, Tears & Growth

I was thinking about a dear friend I have known for years and how in a relatively short period she had grown seemingly more than in all the years I had known her. Only one thing stood out when it came to this season of her life in which she had so very much blossomed. It was a season of great trials, many tears, much tribulation, incredible struggle, and sheer hardness in her life’s circumstances.

Friend, some of our greatest growth in our relationship with the Lord and in how He is...

Called to Love

One day a sweet long-time friend called me with only one purpose. To know how she could pray for me in her quiet time with the Lord. She knewthe challenges I wasfacing and took the love, time, and care to reach out. I want to remind you we live in a world filled with people who don’t have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and are headed for hell or who do have a forever relationship with Him but are in need of love, encouragement, prayer, care, compassion, mercy, help, care, and...

Don’t Go Back

“I’m not sending you back there,” the Spirit of God spoke to my heart. “Do you want to go back to what I brought you out of?”

Confession. I was uncomfortable with some of my current circumstances. I felt desperate to get out of them. Out of where I was. I felt like I was in the wilderness between an old place and a new one. Wouldn’t going back bring relief? Make me feel better? Be more comfortable? Feel safe and secure at the very least because where the Lord had brought me out of would be...

Why Are You Sending Me God?

“Why are you sending me?” I asked the Lord.

“Because I am sending you,” His Spirit spoke to my heart.

I had been on the road for Jesus for my ministry work with my handicapped ministry doggies for several years, and I had grown used to not knowing where I will go next not to mention when. I pray my way through it all, and the Lord makes clear when He is sending me to a new location and when. But He doesn’t always tell me in advance this. WHY?

Friend, we have no right to demand of the Lord...
