Stuck Under the Covers

Ever want to stay under the covers and not get out of bed? Hide where it feels safe and secure so you don’t have to get out of bed and face your trials and tribulations? Feel so stuck under your covers you can’t imagine coming out from under them and facing your struggles let alone having any semblance of a real and abundant life because it just seems impossible? Feel like no way if you get out from under the covers where you want to take refuge forever that you will be able to love and serve...

Do Not Let THIS Stop You

The fear of man is sin against God almighty, and if we’re not careful to guard our hearts and lives against it, we can find ourselves allowing this dangerous fear to stop us from serving Jesus and living out the calling the Lord has for us.

Worrying about what others will think, say, and do if we fully follow Jesus, go where He sends us, do what He calls us to do, and say what He calls us to say can lead us to turn our backs on the Lord’s will for us and even turn our backs on the Lord...

Jesus Ain’t Calling

The Bible makes perfectly clear from start to finish that THE LORD JESUS CHRIST DOES SPEAK TO HIS CREATION, and we SHOULD pray to Him, we SHOULD seek Him, we SHOULD listen to Him, and we SHOULD obey Him. But we need to be enormously careful because just as much as followers of Jesus can hear the Lord speaking to us, we can also get confused and deceived and misled and think we’re hearing from the Lord when plain and simple Jesus ain’t calling.

A super famous book called JESUS CALLING by Sarah...

Bad Attitude? Repent!

The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart two things one morning that present a powerful message:

“Repent of your bad attitude and move on,” He said.

“You need to trust me and be obedient. With the right heart,” He said a little while later.

Get the point? The Lord desires and deserves the right actions – and the right attitude! The right heart! Obedience to the Lord means we need to follow Jesus with the right thoughts, words, and actions!

When He brings to light we have a bad attitude? We need to...

Good News Daily – February 13

Dear friend, Are you using the gifts and resources the Lord has given you to love and glorify Him and help others to find and follow Him? Are you using them to love, bless, encourage, help, and support others? His greatest commands are for us to love Him with all our hearts and to love others as ourselves. Let us make sure day by day we are living by His commands – gifts and resources included!

I used to write for me, the devil, and this world. Now I write to love and glorify...

Good News Daily – Feb 12

Dear friend, Please find below FIVE new little devotionals from my new book I’m working on.But before you proceed, just a reminder. Seek the Lord’s forgiveness when you need it. Don’t postpone it. Seek it as soon as His Spirit shows you that you have displeased and dishonored Him. We need to continually purify ourselves, turning away from sin, seeking and receiving His forgiveness, and pressing on in His will and ways for His glory. We need to not simply acknowledge our wrong...

Good News Daily – February 11

Dear friend, The apostle Paul referred to himself at one point in the Bible as the worst of all sinners. I honestly can’t think of a worse sinner than myself. It is only by God’s grace and because of Jesus’ death and resurrection that I have been forgiven, devoted my life to Christ, and been given a forever relationship with the Lord instead of the hell and lake of fire forever apart from God I deserve. I wish I could tell you I left all my sin behind when I received Christ as...

I Won’t Take the Credit

I am one of those people who was so broken for so long and have faced such rejection and am so sensitive that I would have given almost anything to feel loved and appreciated and be validated and affirmed and felt by the words and actions of others that I had a significance and a worth. Now in my ministry work particularly with caring for my handicapped streets ministry doggies not to mention finally really learning to love and give, I receive positive words from people on a fairly regular...

When Satan Says Quit

“I know what the enemy is trying to do,” I said aloud whether it was to my handicapped ministry doggies or to myself or to the Lord or to nobody at all I don’t know. I just felt compelled to say it. “He’s trying to get me to stop. He’s trying to get me to run. And I ain’t stopping. And I ain’t running!” I exclaimed.

I was having a rough morning for a variety of reasons. Details insignificant. But the Lord gave me wisdom. He showed me what was happening behind the scenes. Satan was trying to...

Don’t Hold Back the Praise!

Jesus emphatically told the man with leprosy he healed NOT to go tell everyone what Jesus had done for him. Perhaps Jesus told him this so Jesus wouldn’t get swarmed with countless people in need just then. This is exactly what happened when the healed man went and told tons of people anyway. Why would the man go against Jesus’ command? I’m not a Bible expert nor does the text seem to explicitly say, but here is what I imagine. The man was so exceedingly excited and thankful that he couldn’t...
