Taking Blessings for Granted
The parents of my brother’s childhood friend were both deaf, and a relative of mine was born with numerous significant disabilities including what would ultimately be defined as “legally blind.” As a child, I wasn’t thankful for my hearing. I wasn’t thankful for my eyesight. There was very little for which I was thankful. I took almost everything for granted.
Little changed in my early adult years. I didn’t see blessings as blessings, I didn’t believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and even when I...
When God Brings Us Out
When Moses whom the Lord used to deliver the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt told the people how to celebrate Passover to commemorate the Lord’s deliverance, he made plain and clear THE LORD BROUGHT THE PEOPLE OUT IN HIS STRENGTH. Moses didn’t take the glory for himself. He didn’t give the glory to any of the people. He gave ALL THE GLORY to THE LORD AND CREDITED HIS STRENGTH!
Do we not sometimes after the Lord brings us out of a bad situation, a crisis, a trial or tribulation, a...

Don’t Go There!
I have learned so incredibly much being on the road for Jesus full-time without a permanent home base but learning to dwell in Him instead and to look forward to heaven with Him as my permanent home, and one thing I have learned bears a message for us all. When we really want to go somewhere, and when that place is not where the Lord wants us to go, we need to NOT GO THERE!
Friend, if you are thinking of going somewhere geographically or simply to a new job, new relationship, new hobby, new...
A Doggone Lesson About Sin
I was walking my 14-year-old ministry doggyAbigail along with 8-year-old disabled doggy Gracie one day when Abigail innocently led us both right into a bush of thorns. Not a single rose. All thorns. Little did she know when she set her sniffer on a good whiff of only the Lord knows what that she wouldn’t just lead herself toward those thorns but that she would lead me there also since I was holding onto her leash! Of course, Abigail couldn’t see she was headed right for the thorns let alone...
Don’t Take this On
I was thinking of reaching out to someone I sensed might need help. The Lord has given me a humongous heart for Him and a huge heart for others. So what could be wrong with reaching out with His love? Nothing wrong with what I was thinking of doing in terms of helping someone in possible need. What was wrong was the Lord made clear it wasn’t His will.
When we get bogged down doing things the Lord doesn’t...
