Update & Prayer Request

I have been on the road full-time for Jesus and ministry with my special needs ministry dogs for over 4 years, and sometimes I think I’m too old, too worn out, and not healthy and strong enough anymore to live this lifestyle for Jesus. But the Lord in His amazing love, mercy, patience, and kindness reminds me I cannot bear fruit for Him apart from Him and can do anything He calls me to do through Him. Day by day, I learn to walk by faith (2 Cor. 5:7), to walk in love (Ephesians 5:2), to walk wor...

How’s Your Marriage?

“I have a ministry,” a lady told me when I met her at the beach and shared with her briefly I do ministry work. “I have a testimony,” she said. “It’s about me and my husband. We’ve been married for 55 years,” she essentially said.

She didn’t tell me love had kept them together for all of those years in a day in age in which marriages fail more than ever it seems. She said this.

“The day we got married,” she basically explained. “Three of us were at the altar.”

She wasn’t referring to a pastor wh...

You Choose My Life

“You choose my life!” I sometimes pray emphatically. What do I mean? And why do I pray this?

I used to live MY life for ME. I called Jesus Christ Lord but certainly didn’t live like He is Lord. I lived for SELF. I lived according to the world’s ways. The world’s self-centered, sin-ridden ways, me-me-it’s-all-about-me ways.

When I first began to obey the Lord, it was out of obligation. I knew I was supposed to do so. Now I want to obey the Lord because my love for Him is ever-growing. I want to e...

Not One Ounce of Glory

Do not take one ounce of glory that belongs to God. This message came to me just minutes after I had a powerful conversation with a brother in the Lord and felt strongly compelled to give him some strong words of encouragement in his ministry work for Jesus.

Those weren’t just words I spoke to him. They came with force and passion and vehemence and power. And I easily could have gotten off the phone and thought, “Wow, look what a wonderful job I just did serving God! Look how great I am! Look ho...

Sent By Jesus

“Why am I going to [such and such a place]?” I asked as I walked at high speed down the sidewalk aside the highway in coastal South Carolina.

“Because I am sending you,” the Holy Spirit spoke matter-of-factly to my heart.

Need the Lord say more? No! Enough said. God had spoken.

Friend, when God sends us somewhere, we don’t need to know why, understand why, agree with what God is doing, like what God is doing, want what God is doing, etc. We simply need to go BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND WE A...

Forgive & Let Go!

“Forgive and let go,” the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart.

“Okay God,” I replied.

Miraculous for several reasons.

One, I live for God today.

Two, I am filled with His Holy Spirit and hear Him when He speaks and read the Bible daily and know to check what I hear against the Bible because God only and always speaks in line with it. Forgiveness is most assuredly in the Bible! Here is just one plain and clear and powerful example!

“And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors…”For if you forgiv...

A Tender Heart

Has God given you a tender heart? Do you cry easily? Are you sensitive? Do you hurt when others hurt? Does your heart break over other people’s trials and tribulations? Do you get really emotional when you hear of something sad? Are you a little embarrassed about this? A little ashamed? Feel like being this way is a burden? Wish you had a thicker skin? A tougher skin? A harder heart? That you wouldn’t be so sensitive? That your heart wasn’t so tender? That you could be like lots of other people ...

Need Strength?

Just as I was finishing up writing a message about the scripture below, the Holy Spirit blessed me with a beautiful truth in the verse about the STRENGTH we need in this life.

“Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!” Psalm 105:4

The truth? The STRENGTH we need in this life given the trials, tribulations, challenges, hurdles, battles, hardships, etc. we face throughout the course of our lives is HIS STRENGTH and cannot be found apart from God but is found IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST...

The Ultimate Seeking

I love, love, love the scripture below and was thrilled one day when the Holy Spirit took me deeper than I had gone in all the previous times I had read it over the years.

“Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!” Psalm 105:4

The Holy Spirit brought to light via the psalmist three aspects of SEEKING HIM.

SEEKING GODSEEKING HIS PROVISION (physical, emotional, and spiritual provision including STRENGTH)SEEKING HIS PRESENCE (face) through INTIMATE FELLOWSHIP / TIME ALONE WITH HIM...

Refusing Anxiety

If you have ever struggled with anxiety as I have for years on and off, sometimes to exceedingly great degrees, other times modestly, other times somewhere in between, then you’re probably familiar with the overwhelming feeling that there is no choice. That anxiety is an ugly terrible heinous monster that simply overtakes us, that can’t be stopped, that can’t be defeated, that perhaps can be lessened with medication, that maybe can be controlled some with counseling, but that will always have it...
