Poetry by the Danube, Budapest, Hungary (18th-23rd July 2018).
So excited to be travelling soon to Hungary for the Indian-Hungarian Translation Workshop, Budapest (18th to 23rd July 2018), and to see my poems in Hungarian!
This poetry event is part of the annual writer’s camp organized by FISZ -Fiatal Írók Szövetsége.
From the monsoon-hood of Mumbai, let’s see what climes this city by the Danube might hold.

London Calling…
257 women were on board the Empire Windrush.
188 of them travelled alone. The Wasafiri Issue 94 includes a special section on Windrush women, and my reviews of Grace Nichols’ and Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze’s books.
I have invitations, which alas I can’t use. But hey friends in London why don’t you consider:
1. ‘Windrush Women – Past and Present’ to launch Wasafiri 94, 2018 at the British Library on 25 June 2018 at 7pm (door opens at 6.30pm).
Tickets can be purchased from the British Library – https://www.bl.uk/events/windrush-women-past-and-present
2. Gladly, my poetry film ‘Skirt’ will be screened at Poetry Café, London on Sunday, June 9.
22 Betterton Street, WC2H 9BX, 3-5 pm
