“I hate you,” she whispered. Her words were venom but they lacked conviction. Her hands flattened against his chest and her biceps tensed as if she were going to push him away, but instead her fingers curled around the fine fabric of his suit jacket, holding him in place.

Hudson took a deep breath through his nose. His heart pounded, pumping adrenaline through his body. “You wish you did,” he rasped in her ear, then tugged the lobe between his teeth.

Allie’s head thudded back against the elevator wall. “Bastard,” she breathed.

“I know, baby, I know.”

MAKING A COMEBACK

Releasing July 7th, 2015
Lyrical Press: Shine

With a divorce in the works, Annabelle Jones heads out to Southern California, the land of sun and starting over. She wants to prove to herself and her young daughters that she still has what it takes to turn heads as a swimsuit model—that she doesn’t need a man to take care of her. Until an accident forces her to rely on the hunky, yet mysterious man next door…

Nathan Cooper is trying to revive his own career. Once a top left-handed relief pitcher, he tried to get over a hidden injury with the aid of banned substances. Amazon | B & N | iTunes | Kobo

Today was a good day. A glorious day. Sitting at the stoplight in the Southern California sunshine, Annabelle Jones did a drum solo on the steering wheel of her convertible Mercedes. She didn’t care if people stared at her singing along to “Don’t Stop Believing.” She hadn’t stopped believing, and look at her now, fresh off her first modeling job since filing for divorce. So it wasn’t the cover of Sports Illustrated, still, it was a job. Something she could be proud of. Her daughters could be proud of her.

It wasn’t about the money. The income she earned from this modeling job was more about pride. Having something to offer the world, even if it was just her face.

Annabelle wanted to show her daughters that a woman didn’t need a man to take care of her. She could stand on her own two feet, and return to the career she’d given up when she married Clayton Barry. She might not fly off to exotic locations or work with the world’s most famous photographers, but she was working.

She lifted her face to the sun, soaking in its warmth. It was as if the fog of the last few years had finally lifted. Nothing but blue skies ahead for her and her six-year-old twin daughters.

Today’s shoot was just the beginning. Her agent had two more jobs lined up for her before the end of the month. He’d also scheduled her to attend the televised celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. She hadn’t been able to make the photo shoot last fall in New York for the magazine, but he thought making an appearance on the live show would give her plenty of exposure.

Hopefully, she’d be able to juggle it all. Part of what appealed to her about today’s job was that it was close enough that she’d be able to shoot for a few hours and still get home in time to meet her daughters when they got off the school bus.

Annabelle glanced at the clock. If the light didn’t change soon, she wasn’t going to make it to the bus stop in time.

The song ended and Annabelle turned down the volume. She’d started listening to Journey during the Goliaths’ World Series run. So the song was five years older than she was, the message still rang true. It was about hope. Starting over. Believing.

The traffic light turned green, and she pulled into the intersection. A flash of yellow appeared out of the corner of her eye. She turned in time to see an SUV blow through the stoplight. Before she could react, the vehicle struck her Mercedes just behind the driver’s side door.

Her head slammed into the side window. Glass shattered and she looked down at the blood on her blouse. A thousand black pixels danced before her eyes.

And then nothing.

HEART AND SOLE by Miranda Liasson Pre-Order Blitz & Giveaway

Heart and Sole
by Miranda Liasson
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 14, 2015

Getting even.

One step at a time…

Maddie Kingston just walked away from everything in order to take over her family’s struggling shoe business. And she’s in some serious trouble. The majority of the company’s shares have been bought out by none other than Maddie’s ex-boyfriend, self-made billionaire Nick Holter. Now Maddie needs his help…even if it means buying Nick from a charity bachelor auction.

After the Kingstons destroyed his grandfather’s career, Nick vowed to take over their company. He’s inches from victory when he finds himself bought and paid for…by his sexy ex-girlfriend who’s hell-bent on saving her family’s company. Between their families’ feud and their own unfinished business, tempers – and emotions – run hot. Too hot.

Because kissing with the enemy is a guaranteed shoe-in for trouble…

Maddie yanked the blanket off the bed. “You can take the bed,” she said, then threw it down on the hard, short banquette.

Nick should have let it go, let her go, but his heart compelled him to act, and he flew after her in two barefoot strides. His arm caught her elbow and whirled her toward him.

Her eyes glinted with anger; he saw it even in the dim light. It was hard, even now, not to gather her up and kiss her senseless, drag her down onto the bed and not come up until he’d finished exploring every last curve and valley.

His muscles actually trembled. Why was he always a flash of a second away from losing control with her? Like that one fine night when they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Years and years of bound up feelings finally let loose. For that one and only time, he’d felt a glimmer of hope that maybe the past didn’t predict the future, that there really was forgiveness and mending and fresh chances.

But that had only lasted until the phone rang at dawn.

Maddie stood there staring at him. His hand still clung to her arm as though he feared she would bolt like a scared rabbit out of the camper and into the woods. She shrugged it briskly away. “Business is business, right, Nick? From now on, let’s just keep everything else out of it.”

She thought he was unfeeling, some kind of sociopath who pulled family businesses out from under people for pleasure. She couldn’t have been more wrong.

His gaze locked on hers. Raw emotion registered, lust and sadness and torment, and for a raw, brutal instant, Nick felt it all run through his heart like a blade.

He did feel, and she had no idea how much.

He tugged the blanket from her hands. “I’m taking the seat. Good night.”

As soon as this god-awful weekend was done, he’d force himself to forget her. It would be easy, because she’d hate him for real when all was said and done.

CJ_Cover

Blurb

Jillian Miller likes her job working in the front office for the Seattle Sharks, but lately being surrounded by a constant parade of perfection only seems to make her own imperfections all the more obvious. She needs a change, which takes her into foreign territory: the Sharks’ workout facility after hours. The last thing she expects is a hot, grumbly god among men to be there as witness.

Star linebacker Seth Taylor had a bad day-well, a series of them recently. When he hits the Sharks’ gym to work out his frustration, he’s startled to find someone there-and even more surprised that it’s Jillian, the team owner’s administrative assistant. When he learns of Jillian’s mission to revamp her lifestyle, he finds himself volunteering to help. Something about Jillian’s beautiful smile and quick wit makes him want to stick around. She may not be like the swimsuit models he usually has on his arm, but the more time Seth spends with Jillian the harder he falls.

And as Jillian discovers that the new her is about so much more than she sees in the mirror, can she discover that happiness and love are oh-so-much better than perfect?

Excerpt

She hurried over to the laptop on the little desk in the kitchen, pulled up Google, and searched on Seth’s name. She sank into a chair while she read. He was six foot four, and she practically weighed as much as he did. Well, not quite, but still. She let out a long sigh. He was two years younger than she was. It also seemed Seth had been busy: He was single. “Very single,” according to one of the most recent fan websites she looked at. In Google Images, she found a series of photos of him with multiple tall, dark-haired women, each more gorgeous than the last.

Jillian shut the laptop lid with an irritated “click”, got up from her chair, and hurried into the bathroom. She’d stood in front of a full-length mirror so many times, but it always showed her the same thing. She wasn’t unattractive, but she could use a little more self-confidence and a lot more toning.  She wasn’t asking for physical perfection, but she’d like to make some changes. If she made a plan, started slowly and kept at it, she’d see a difference.  The biggest changes needed to start on the inside, though. Maybe if she got out a little more, she might meet a guy that was interested in her. Seth was gorgeous, but he wasn’t really in her universe. Jillian went into the kitchen, grabbed a frozen low-calorie dinner out of the freezer, ripped the cardboard lid off, and shoved it into the microwave. Dinner would taste a whole lot better if it was accompanied by half a bag of chips and some Ranch dip. But that wasn’t an option right now. She opened the refrigerator door to look for a fresh vegetable of some type.

She pushed the fridge door shut after a fruitless search and rummaged around in her apartment’s tiny pantry. She located a can of peas. Peas were good. Plus, there weren’t many calories in peas. Maybe she could fill up on them if the diet dinner didn’t cut it.

Jillian’s love-hate relationship with her body and food had started when she was little.  Most of the time, there wasn’t enough to eat. She ended up in a foster home at three years old after her mother died in a car wreck, and she was moved a few times before she entered elementary school. Things got a little better for Jillian when she was placed in a more permanent foster home, but she was still so hungry. No matter how much she ate, she wanted more.  When she was old enough to make her own money, she made sure there was more than enough, and that’s when the problems began. Even more than a diet or a new workout regime, she needed to focus on the great things in her life. She’d build a healthier lifestyle as a result. Even more than a diet or a new workout regime, change from the inside would last a lot longer. She wanted to build on the goals she’d already achieved and reach out for more of the things she wanted in life: A husband. A family. To belong.

Catherine Mann:

Bon Appétit and a Book:

Please provide one of your favorite recipes (drink, snack, entrée, etc.) that could go along with the theme of your book (if possible)—or just your favorite recipe in general!

Sweet tea! I’m Southern, after all. And the recipe is so simple. Get a gallon drink dispenser. Place 6-8 large tea bags in the container. Place the lid on tp with the tags dangling out. Set the container in the window sill all day. At the end of the day, pull out the tea bags. Add 3-4 cups or sugar (or your low calorie sweetener of choice) and refrigerate. Especially yummy if add lemon slices or mint leaves.

Christine Rimmer:

Love Lessons Learned: Real life romance lessons learned from the book

When I think of the love lessons a reader might come away with after reading The Maverick’s Accidental Bride, what comes immediately to my mind are some of the insights readers themselves have offered:

“Sometimes you really don’t recognize your match until something unusual happens. Maybe the accidental wedding was not that big an accident after all.” –Jo (Mixed Book Bag) Goodreads

“I would highly recommend this book to anyone that believes that some things are just written in the stars and when you least expect it fate gives you that love you have been hoping to find.” –Kimberly, Amazon.com Reviews

“I loved both of the characters and I enjoyed the way Ms. Rimmer took us down the path of them discovering what their hearts were telling them all along.” –Judy, Amazon.com Reviews

And speaking for myself, I would have to say that sometimes an “accident” of fate can turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to you.   The hero and heroine, Will Clifton and Jordyn Leigh Cates, have known each other from childhood. Neither is looking for love in the other. But when circumstances force them to spend time together, they finally begin to see what was there all along, that each is the other’s true and lasting love. It’s not really surprising that friends-to-lovers stories are so popular. Who better to build a life with than a true friend you can put your trust in?

MOVIE STAR CAST: THE MAVERICK’S ACCIDENTAL BRIDE

I always “cast” my stories. I choose images of real people to represent the main characters as I’m writing the book. I like to know exactly how my characters look. As a rule, I choose from pictures of actors or models.

The Montana Mavericks series, however, is what we call a house-generated continuity. The basic ideas for the characters and the over-arching story for the series are created by Harlequin’s excellent editorial team. We authors are provided with a bible, a general plan to follow as we tailor, tweak and enrich and make the story our own. In recent years, the editors who create the bible have been doing the “casting” for us, choosing images of our heroes and heroines. Now and then, I disagree with those choices and the editors always give me the go-ahead to choose other actors.

But for The Maverick’s Accidental Bride, I loved the editorial choices and ran with them. So may I present…

Breaking in to the Series Market

First and foremost, to break into series romance, you need to read series romance. And I mean, a lot of series romance. Choose a line you love—or one you think you possibly could love—and collect as many recent titles as you can. When I first targeted series romance, I read over 300 series romances to learn all I could about the books I planned to write. I kept a file on each book I read, breaking down all the elements that go into a book: characters, conflicts, settings, hooks. I wanted to find the commonality among the books in a given line, so that I could deliver what the editors of that line are looking for. You want to write a book that fills the requirements for the line you’ve chosen, yet does so in a way that feels fresh and new. It’s a big challenge. And it can be a fulfilling one.

At Harlequin, when your series book is ready to submit, you decide whether you want to use an agent or not. In series, the advances you can get and the changes you can make to the boilerplate contract are not as broad-ranging as they are in mainstream, so you may feel perfectly comfortable dealing with day-to-day business issues and negotiations yourself. I do. J But if you like an expert handing all that stuff for you, that’s totally doable, too.

Also, when you write series romance, though you’re not required to think in terms of a continuing series of connected stories, you’re better off if you do. Readers love connected stories and they’re more popular in the category market than they’ve ever been. In fact, if you write for my line, Special Edition, every book you write will be part of an ongoing series. But if you see your book as a standalone, no problem.   Submit it. The editors are more than happy to work with you to help you see the spinoff potential in any story you write.

Best of luck in the series market—and happy writing!

One Night by Lorhainne Eckhart Book blitz & Giveaway
One Night
by Lorhainne Eckhart
Series: Kate and Walker: Deadly Dangerous & Desired Series
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: June 30, 2015

New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author Lorhainne Eckhart brings you ONE NIGHT, A high-stakes suspense and sizzling, red-hot romance!

A blind date goes deadly on a night she’ll never forget!

He’d died and gone to heaven.

Then the cold reality bit him as he stared at the naked woman—who had the curviest ass he’d ever seen in his twenty-eight years—next to him. Kate was lying on his bed, and her breathing was light. He wondered if, in fact, she’d fallen asleep. What the fuck was he thinking, screwing a woman he should be protecting? He didn’t even want to think about all the ethical boundaries he’d just crossed. He ripped off the condom and walked across the hall to the bathroom to dump it in the garbage. When he strode back into the bedroom, the bedside light was on, and Kate had crawled under the comforter.

He stood before her, naked, and she sat up, running her gaze over him. She wasn’t shy, and he could tell she appreciated what she saw. But then…hell, look at her! She had a pair of tits that could make a man howl, and her ass gave him enough to hang on to. She wasn’t a toothpick, she was a woman: curvy enough, strong enough that she could take him and keep up with him. He didn’t want to worry about a woman breaking under him.

There were times like now when he just wanted to ride a woman hard. It was satisfying. He didn’t want soft and easy. His life wasn’t made that way. He wasn’t made that way.

“No regrets,” he said to her. He didn’t ask, because the last thing he wanted was a woman having second thoughts after all was done.

“None, you?” she asked him, sliding her knees up and wrapping her arms around them.

He could smell her from where he was, and he felt himself hardening again. There were times when he could walk away satisfied after having a woman, but there was something about Kate and the way she watched him, so seductive and sensual, that stirred something in him. She wasn’t asking for a commitment. She had offered him her body, and he had taken it.

The only reason rancher Chase Stockton and his brothers survived their brutal childhood was because they protected each other. Nothing will ever come between them…until a sudden tragedy calls in a life debt Chase can’t ignore, forcing him to make a choice that could destroy the very bonds that hold his family together.

Mira Cabot has never asked for help, but when a sexy, protective cowboy makes her an offer she can’t afford to refuse, she finds herself on her way to Wyoming to be the shotgun bride of a man she has every reason…and no reason…to trust.

The sizzling connection between Mira and Chase turns a rescue mission into something dangerously addictive, one that could either heal two broken hearts, or shatter them forever.

USA Today bestselling author Stephanie Rowe is the author of more than 40 novels, including her popular Order of the Blade and NightHunter paranormal romance series, and her sizzling new Wyoming Rebels cowboy series about nine rugged brothers. Stephanie is a four-time nominee of the RITA® Award, the highest award in romance fiction. She has won many awards for her novels, including the prestigious Golden Heart® Award. She has received coveted starred reviews from Booklist, and Publishers Weekly has called her work “[a] genre-twister that will make readers…rabid for more.”

In additional to her paranormal romances, Stephanie also writes a thrilling romantic suspense series set in Alaska. Publisher’s Weekly praised the series debut, ICE, as a “thrilling entry into romantic suspense,” and Fresh Fiction called ICE an “edgy, sexy and gripping thriller.” Equally as intense and sexy are Stephanie’s contemporary romance novels.

A life-long reader, Stephanie began crafting stories at age ten, but didn’t realize it was her dream until she was an adult. Once the light dawned, she immediately left behind “work” as the world defines it and went to “work” as she defines it, which means getting up every morning with a smile in her heart so she can spend the day doing that which makes her spirit sing.

Stephanie believes in learning to listen to your heart in order to figure out what your dreams are, and then opening yourself to the inspiration that will direct you there. She believes we all deserve the right to enjoy life, and for the ride to be as easy as we want it to be, and that we all should accept nothing less than making our dreams come true.

Stephanie lives in New England, and spends every day doing her best to fill it with people, observations and activities that uplift her soul, which include writing, hiking with her rescue dog, friends, and her amazing family.

Book Description:

Noah Brandt is a

successful blacksmith and businessman in Splendor, Montana, with few ties to

his past as an ex-Union Army major and sharpshooter. Quiet and hardworking, his

biggest challenge is controlling his strong desire for a woman he believes is

beyond his reach.

Abigail Tolbert is

tired of being under her father’s thumb while at the same time, being pushed

away by the one man she desires. Determined to build a new life outside the

control of her wealthy father, she finds work and sets out to shape a life on

her own terms.

Noah has made too many mistakes with Abby to have any hope

of getting her back. Even with the changes in her life, including the distance

she’s built with her father, he can’t keep himself from believing he’ll never

be good enough to claim her.

Unexpected dangers, including a

twist of fate for Abby, change both their lives, making the tentative steps

they’ve taken to build a relationship a distant hope. As Noah battles his past

as well as the threats to Abby, she fights for a future with the only man she

will ever love.

Excerpt:

Abby rounded on him, arms

crossed, angry eyes flashing up at him. “What do you think you were doing in

there? Do you have so little respect for me you think you can touch me like

that at the supper table with others all around us?” She drew in a deep breath,

letting it out slowly as her heart continued to beat almost painfully in her

chest.

Noah’s concern turned to

discomfort at the agony he saw on her face. “I’m sorry. I’d never do anything

to cause you embarrassment or pain.”

“Then what was that about?”

He looked toward the western

mountains, noting the sun touching the tops of the highest peaks, and took a

deep breath. Shoving his hands in his pockets so he wouldn’t do what he wanted

and reach out to touch her, Noah took a step backward.

“Do you remember when you told me

you no longer had feelings for me?” His voice was rough as he worked to swallow

the lump in the back of his throat.

She let her arms drop, clasping

her hands in front of her, feeling regret at how he’d interpreted her words.

“Yes…”

Noah had fought his attraction to

her for too long. He needed to be honest, let her know how he felt, and

discover if she still had any feelings for him at all.

“I need to know the truth, Abby.

Do you feel anything for me?”

Cover Reveal for “Lucky’s Book” by Jamie Begley (Erotic MC Romance)

Ask and You Shall Receive…

LUCKY’S CHOICE
The Last Riders #7
Jamie Begley
Releasing July 29th, 2015
Young Ink Press

Life dealt him a dead man’s hand.

Lucky had

always led a life of service, always putting his life on the line for someone

else, managing to survive by pure luck and skill. After bringing an end to a

multi-state drug ring, he was finally able to live the life he had wanted as a

Last Rider.

A good man

would walk away and not touch the curvy woman who had been tugging on his

heartstrings. Lucky wasn’t a good man. Therefore, the bad-ass biker in him had

a choice: once again become the man he had pretended to be and stake his claim

or take the devil’s highway.

Some girls had all the luck.

Willa

wasn’t one of them. All she wanted to do was give a home to the children she

had made orphans. Instead, she found herself needing help from the man who had

left the pulpit behind to embrace a life of sin.

Painfully

shy and withdrawn, she wanted a quiet life, a simple man, and well-behaved

children. The last thing she had ever expected was for Lucky to want her size

twenty body and show her a passion that would lead her straight to hell.

“I

was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their

way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever

known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and

education.
Taking

after my mother, I’ve always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say

so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through

many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love

the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.
For

now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who

both graduated this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my

son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.
Currently

I am writing five series of books- The Last Riders, The VIP Room, Predators MC,

Biker Bitches, and The Dark Souls.
All

my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and

the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”
