Lieutenant Jess Grant is home from Afghanistan with a physical injury that has stripped away his confidence. Yet he hopes to reconnect with a young war widow he knew in high school. His “Operation Christmas” project is just the excuse he needs to visit her family’s bakery.
Madeleine Belmar struggles with Christmas, works for Scrooge, and is nowhere near ready for a new relationship when she runs into Jess. Her rejection and his persistence create a confusing mix of attraction and fear she seems unable to navigate.
When Jess sees she won’t budge, he leaves their fate up to Madeleine. Between her meddling family and angelic intervention, Jess will get a helping hand. This Christmas will be one they will never forget.

About the Author:
Barbara Weitz lives in a quiet suburb of Chicago where she writes contemporary romance and women’s fiction. You will find strong romance, cozy mystery, light humor and heart are elements always present in her novels. Unlikely heroes and feisty heroines are sent to the blank page to act out her multi-character plots.
She also confesses to having a writing assistant. Heiko, a German Shepherd dog. When faced with a difficult scene, she reads aloud to him and often finds he’s the only soul in her household willing to get up at the crack dawn or burn the midnight oil to sit before the eerie glow of a computer screen to converse with fictional characters. He would probably tell you he’s there to snarf up any crumbs the author happens to drop while snacking and writing.
Prior to writing romantic fiction, she had a respectable job as a career executive secretary, a term she doesn’t find offensive or feel the need to change to administrative assistant. To learn more about the author visit: http://barbaraweitz.com

Mira did not know what she had in store the day she fell asleep while wanting to escape her current
situation. Overcoming a death from someone so close and burying herself in school and an internship
has kept her somewhat awake and alive. An admiration for the actor, James Dean was all that kept
the memory of her father alive. If she couldn’t be with her father, she could at least remember what
they shared an admiration for together. She always wanted to meet James Dean… she didn’t know it
would come true. Be careful what you wish for. It may just come true.

My life couldn’t be more complete. As we reached the apartments, I slowly got off the bike, surprised
at myself that I had done this. Ordinarily, I’d never get on a motorcycle. James leaned over and
caressed my cheek. Before I could open my mouth to tell him what was to happen to him, he gave
me a quick peck on the lips. I couldn’t let James walk away, not now.
Something in me grasped his wrist; my breath caught in my throat. I no longer cared about the
rain. I must have looked like a drowned rat to him. “I have to tell you something,” I blurted as I waited
for his reaction.
James smiled, then chuckled as he caressed my face. The rain was preventing me from
seeing clearly. “Sweetheart, it’s raining and you’re soaked. I hope this is important.” Pulling him
toward me, I faced him. I could change history. I could have him live out his life as he was meant to. If
I couldn’t save my father, I could save him.
“In the future, when you become famous, please be careful. Remember this: there will be a
day that you are off to a race. You will not see a car until it’s too late. James, please promise me. It
could mean your life.” I must have sounded like a complete and total idiot to him. Geez! I think I
watched Back To The Future too many times. I sounded like Marty talking to the professor about his
impending death.
Chuckling, he shook his head, expelling the rain off his head and onto me. Laughter erupted
between us as I covered my face. He then cupped my face, kissed my forehead. “Are you sure you’re
not an angel? I cannot promise anything, but baby, I can promise I’ll see you tomorrow. I’ll pick you up
here and you can ditch your responsibilities. Ride with me.”
Sighing, now I knew how all those girls felt when they looked at him. What an offer that would
be. Ditch school to ride with the man who was loved by so many. I was determined he’d listen to me.
Gripping his hands from my face, I gazed into his eyes. “I’m serious!”
Before I could utter another word, his lips descended on mine. My body went toward him and
melted. I couldn’t help but respond as I brought him closer. I was lost in his warm lips as they
caressed mine. Lingering near my lips, he breathed, “I know you are.” Then, winking as he kissed me
again, smiling that beautiful smile of his, “How else can my angel guard me if she isn’t with me?”

My thoughts:
This box set of 4 stores were amazing. Not only for the great price but the great stories. Each one brings the reader to want the love to bloom. If I had to pick a favorite of the 4 stories it would have to be WYOMING WILDFLOWER. Lance is happy when Sonni comes back to the Ranch. Her father has all girls but always wanted a son. He always made her feel left out. Once she is back Lance does his best to win her over and does after a long battle.

But as the snow starts to fall, Rhys and Taylor embark on a tentative winter romance. Could Taylor be the Christmas present Rhys never even knew he wanted?

My thoughts:
Taylor has come back to town to help with her bother’s wedding. What she doesn’t expect is a run in to Rhys. He things Taylor will run back to the city life after the wedding is over. They are both attracted to each other but Rhys is not very trusting. They start a romance that neither one was expecting to last. When Taylor does leave will Rhys go after her or will Taylor come back on her own?
The author does a great job with the characters when Taylor is shut out of the rehearsal dinner and cleans up etc Rhys notices what happens and wants to take care of her. He sees more that goes on than anyone else. The characters pop and you find yourself rooting both of them on.
I love this series and will continue to read them. Thanks to NetGalley for the book to read for an honest review.

Fortune Cookie Creations Product review
I had the pleasure of being contacted by the service department at Fortune Cookie Creations. They wanted me to try the different flavored cookies they have out. Imagine the boys surprise when the box arrived a few days later. Cookies were flying out of the box.
As you can see from the picture above they have several colors and the colors have different flavors of course. The orange colored taste like orange, red is strawberry, blue is raspberry, brown is for chocolate, yellow is coconut, green is lime, and the regular light brown color is vanilla. They were well good. The best thing about the cookies you can have your messages personalize for whatever the occasion is.
They offer different themes, birthdays, weddings, baby showers and more. With the different colors you can make it so much fun. The prices are not bad at all. You can order online here. For a 50 count it starts out at $19.00 not a bad price at all. The kids had so much fun tasting each one. None of us really have a favorite as they are all good. Each cookie in individually wrapped which is another great feature.
You can find Fortune Cookie Creations on Twitter, Facebook and on Google +. Be sure to check them out you will not be disappointed at all.
I received the cookies from Fortune Cookie Creations for an honest review.
