Genre: Medieval Clean Romance
Release Date: February 23, 2015

The Earl of Dentin excels in his position as Securer of the Realm. But the king’s order to pluck an orphaned child from a loving home unsettles Dentin. When a dark-eyed woman challenges his honor regarding the mission, Dentin finds himself unable to justify his actions or get her out of his mind. Something about her lack of fear intrigues him.
Lady Elsa Reeve attempts to avoid the marriage of convenience her brother and mother demand of her. She understands the need to pay off her brother’s massive debt. She only wants her family to consider her wishes in the process.
As Elsa becomes further entangled in a snare of her brother’s creating, only one man defends her. But can she trust Dentin, her unlikely champion, and his motives? With a murderer on the loose, Elsa’s fate in jeopardy, and a traitor plotting against the king, Dentin finds his priorities shifting in an unexpected direction.

A smattering of raindrops cut my ruminations short. I studied the angry gray clouds just as thunder rumbled. I decided running for the keep would be better than waiting the storm out in the shelter of the maze tower. I gathered my skirts up and ran for the opening in the nearest hedge. Even running so hard my lungs burned and my legs ached, the downpour beat me to the shelter of the vargar keep.
Normally safe footing became treacherous in the sudden rush of water. Puddles and slick slate pavers slowed me more. Once gaining the half-open undercroft door, I plunged into the underbelly of the castle and pushed the heavy door closed behind me. Not bothering to check the corridor, I began wringing out my heavy rain-soaked skirt.
“Greetings, Lady Elsa?”
I jumped. It took all of my control not to cry out in surprise at the sound of the male voice. I lifted my head to find Lord Dentin standing not three feet away. He looked like he had just returned from a swim. Water coursed down his face and dripped from his clothes into a growing puddle on the stone floor. A partially dry wool blanket draped his shoulders. His hair, black with moisture, stuck out from his head at odd angles as though he had paused mid rub.
Yet, his eyes were bright and a twitch pulled at his mouth. “It is good to know I wasn’t the only one caught in the sudden downpour.”
Suddenly realizing I was holding my dress up and exposing quite a bit of leg, I dropped my skirts. The slap of them hitting the wet floor echoed down the corridor. I flinched.
His eyebrows rose and an actual smile pulled at his mouth. It took years off his face, revealing the remnants of the mischievous rascal he must have been in boyhood.
“Don’t look so frightened. I won’t tell on you.”
Anger gripped my chest and my chin rose instinctively. “I doubt my mother would care, my lord. She has grown calloused in her despair of me. I beg pardon. I didn’t see you there.”
His smile disappeared and his expression grew thoughtful. “I am a bit hard to miss.”
“True, my lord. I need to proceed to my rooms now and change.”
“By all means. I would not wish you to grow ill. I anticipate an animated conversation at the evening meal.” He stepped back a bit, offering half the narrow hall for me to pass.
I gathered my skirts, keeping the edge just above the floor this time, and stepped through the gap. Then straightening my back and shoulders, I strode down the corridor to the servant’s staircase.
“Wait.”
I paused instinctively, but I didn’t turn around. He approached, his boots making squelching sounds on the stone.
“Have this.” He wrapped the wool blanket around my shoulders without actually touching me. It smelled of smoke, rain, and dog, but his residual warmth radiated from it. The heat felt heavenly on my chilled skin. “You need it more than I do.”
Then before I could voice my gratitude, he strode toward the kitchen calling for someone named Reginald.
“Thank you,” I whispered. Clutching the fabric to me, I dropped the pretense of dignity and ran for the stairs. If I was caught in this state of dress, my mother would never let me out of her sight again.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How did you come up with the idea for BETWEEN?
Three years ago, I was working on a sequel to a fantasy novel when I had this weird “calling.” Two characters came to me in a rush; Lucas and Cronan from BETWEEN. They weren’t fantasy characters nor they didn’t fit into what I was writing but they wouldn’t go away. I kept setting them aside but they’d come back, stronger than ever. I put the fantasy sequel on hold, wrote non-stop for a month, and finished the first draft. That never happens! It usually takes me months to finish a first draft. A year later, my edits were finished, and two months later, BETWEEN was picked up by Musa Publishing. I’ve got my feet firmly planted in the Otherworld now, the ideas come faster than I can write them down.
What first inspired you to become a writer? And what compels you to continue your career as an author?
I wrote my first short story in grade six. I was asked by the teacher to read it aloud to the class, which terrified me. After I was finished, I realized that I actually had everyone’s attention! I was shy and we moved every year, so I was always the new kid. When you’re in that situation, it’s kind of like being invisible. Finding my voice through story-telling made me realize how powerful writing could be. As far as continuing—truthfully? I think I’d go nuts if I didn’t write.
What made you choose the genre of paranormal gothic horror?
I started out writing fantasy fiction. I was working on the second installment to my PRADEE series when there were two characters that kept showing up on the page, over and over. They didn’t belong in fantasy novel, nor did they belong in my story! But their backstory came to me so vividly, that I set aside my series and wrote my first paranormal novel, BETWEEN. I’ve been pulled into the Otherworld permanently now. The ideas come faster than I can write them down.

Interview:
DANG NEAR DEAD, FEB. 2015
Babs….When did you know you wanted to write?
In my last semester of college, when I was a practical lass studying Business Administration, I took an elective course in creative writing. The professor, bored with creative writing, was teaching to help pay for his law school classes. He probably had a business degree. Despite his disinterest in the subject, I realized writing was what I wanted to do. Forever.
Babs…..What would you like your readers to get out of DANG NEAR DEAD?
I hope they grow even fonder of Aggie, her friend Meredith, and her love interest Detective Sam. I want readers to enjoy the Texas Hill Country so much they can smell the air. Most of all, I’d like them to chuckle over characters’ foibles. We mortals are strange and amusing creatures.
Babs…..Do you have a current project in the works?
Always. I’m not happy unless I’m writing or preparing to write. The next Aggie Mundeen mystery, Smart, But Dead, comes out this year. Single, pushing forty and fearing nothing but middle-age decrepitude, Aggie signs up for a course about genetics of aging. She gets a professor who can’t stand her, finds a campus corpse, races to investigate and lands to jail. Detective Sam is not pleased.
Babs…..Do you have a ritual when you are writing? ie coffee, music, food etc
I can’t listen to music because I gravitate to the music instead of the story. I abandon the computer only when starving. I hate it when the phone rings.
Babs…..Hobbies outside of writing?
For me, writing is not a hobby; it’s an obsession. My hobbies are learning to play guitar, playing piano, reading, getting together with family and friends, going to lectures, galleries, movies, and sitting lakeside, where I soak up the breeze and think up stories.
Babs….What book or books are you currently reading?
I just finished In the Hollow of His Hand by Doris and Larry Puckett, their amazing story of being Christian missionaries for forty years in Mexico. I’m reading Donna Tartt’s exquisitely written book, The Goldfinch. Next up are books by Left Coast Crime award nominees at so I’ll know who to vote for. My TBR shelf has James Lee Burke’s Wayfaring Stranger and Ken Follett’s Edge of Eternity.
Babs….If you could be one character from one of your books who would it be?
Probably Aggie’s friend, Meredith. She’s in her twenties, has been disillusioned but is thoughtful, reasonable, fun, brave and a dedicated friend. Aggie is so meddlesome, she’s likely to get herself killed. Detective Sam is a great guy, but even though he cares for Aggie, she frustrates him, poor fellow.
Babs…Favorite drink?
Winter: Hot chocolate. Summer: Diet Dr. Pepper. Orange Juice with 50% sugar. All seasons: Chardonnay wine.
Babs…..What is your favorite ice cream?
Chocolate/vanilla swirl. Vanilla with chocolate sauce. Peppermint with chocolate sauce. There’s a pattern here.
Babs….What is your favorite food?
Mexican food. Seafood. Chinese food. Beef I cook myself.
Babs…Anything else you would like to add?
Thank you, Babs, for asking me to be a guest and for good questions!
Babs…. you are welcome so nice to have you on today.

About This Author
I’ve been writing since age seven: poems back and forth with my mom. I had a real poem published in the Library Journal, Pegasus, at age fifteen. At eighteen, I wanted to study journalism and English literature, but friends who chose that college route were making minimum wage or selling lingerie. Being practical, I earned a business degree. After marriage and two children, I decided I HAD to study literature and write. I wrote non-fiction articles, a biography, and a suspense novel in 2004. That’s when whimsical Aggie Mundeen cut through the suspense, popped into my head and demanded her own series. The Aggie Mundeen mystery capers were born. Aggie must have been right: FIT TO BE DEAD is a LEFTY FINALIST 2013 for best humorous mystery, nominated by Left Coast Crime.

Excerpt:
Sometimes, in the middle of the night, or the calm after a big storm, when the world seems new and fresh, when one can feel the rightness of the world falling into place, I forget. This is my favorite time; this is the point between old and new and the fresh and used. It is that point when I can pretend that I too am fresh and new. I can stand in the rain and shower off the old me, shedding it like the skin of a snake; with it goes the terrors and pain and I am left fresh. For a time. Then, I look down and see the scars, feel the terror and smell the fear. Yes, fear has a smell, a very distinct, very real smell. I am sure it is a different smell for everyone; for me it is lemons, coppery lemons. The fear I smell the most though is one that brings most peace. And the sounds, oh the sounds that come screaming back into my head. They don’t leave. They never leave. They come screaming back, fast and furious, like a Japanese bullet train. Always on course, always on time. They crush me with the weight of the fear they bring with them. I have to escape. I need release; it is why I run in these early hours, in the rain and storms that other people stay out of.
I dress in my running gear and open myself up to the cathartic release I get from lacing up my shoes and I step out the door. I know I can’t out run my past. I know I cannot escape the fears and pain, or erase the scars, but I can forget for a time. I can find that release. With each pounding footstep I feel calmer. I feel the terrors of my dreams fade and I can see the new day rising. What was done was done, I cannot change that. I am a new person now. New face, new name, new life. The run clears my mind and as I reach the end, the clearing of Aspens, with leaves now turning, looking golden and on fire in the early morning sun; I feel renewed. I love these mountains and their glorious, ever-changing beauty. The trees can be at once skeletal remains and yet grow, not giving in to nature, to become the beautiful fireballs before me, an amazing creation I am currently standing in awe of. Proof that life goes on; it continues. The world turns, the sun rises and sets and no one will remember what once was. Out of breath and energy, I lay down in the meadow and watch the sun continue its rise, preparing myself for another day. A day spent hiding myself yet being the most free I have ever been at the same time. Today, I start again…

More About Asking for Trouble and Author Anna J. Stewart
What is your motivation behind this book? Why did you want to write it?
For me, it’s always about the happily ever after and the journey the hero and heroine go on to get there. The original idea behind this story was actually the Robin Hood aspect–the Nemesis character who robs from the wealthy and redistributes what’s stolen in the hopes of making others’ lives better. Over the years (and the many rewrites), that story changed, but at its core, I think ASKING FOR TROUBLE is about what so many of us go through, family issues, health issues, finding our place and where we belong…and realizing that the people we surround ourselves with should make things better, not drag us down.
I wanted to write it because it felt like a fun story to tell. Also, I’ve always been intrigued by the dynamics of large families and the way they interact with one another. I come from a very small nuclear family (I’m my mother’s only child), so from an “investigative” point of view, it was out of my realm of experience, which always makes telling a story a little more exciting.
What do you hope readers take with them when they read it?
While what Morgan Tremayne has taken on is a huge task (helping critically ill children), it doesn’t take a lot to make a difference in someone’s life. A hug here, a pair of shoes there, giving back to someone, at some point can have a butterfly effect . We’re all in this crazy, insane and sometimes disturbing world together and while yes, one person can definitely make a difference, what we can accomplish as a team is an incredibly powerful possibility. Wow. I didn’t realize how Pollyanna-ish that sounds (and believe me, I’m not one ). Kindness. Yeah, if there’s one thing I’d love people to take away from reading ASKING FOR TROUBLE, it’s the fact that kindness that can and will change the world.
Do you have a favorite scene?
I have a couple and funny enough, neither one has changed very much since the first time I wrote the book. Morgan’s first encounter with Gage’s family I think is my favorite; actually any scene where Gage’s mother is involved tends to make me laugh. There’s a conversation among the women at one point (I’ll just say Crock-Pot and readers will know which one I’m referring to) that to this day brings a smile to my face. Yeah, it would have to be one of the scenes featuring Theresa Juliano. She’s just really fun to write.
Share something about you that is unique–maybe about how/where you write…or favorite snack foods?
My friends and close writer buddies know this but…every one of my heroines has a Barbie representation sitting on my desk. I’m a doll collector from way back, so when I first start a project, the first thing I do is go in search of a new heroine. The hairstyle, the clothes (I have 2 big tubs of fashion doll clothes, LOL), it all starts to come together and I get a clear picture of what she looks like and who she is. Although, I add a few extra pounds…with a few exceptions, most of my heroines are quite curvy–gotta write from what I know, right?
Another quirky fact? I write in my kitchen. The best days are when the dishwasher is running. That white noise is awesome. Favorite snack food? Cheez-It…which is why I rarely get them in the house. Man those little suckers are yummy.

Anna J. Stewart
Adult Contemporary Romance
February 17th 2015 by Berkley InterMix
Goodreads
The Tremaynes are one of the most prosperous families in Lantano Valley, California. But money can’t buy everything—especially when it comes to love…
Morgan Tramayne has a heart of gold, but to keep her children’s charity afloat she’s had to resort to some less than legal means: donations from a notorious cat burglar who targets the wealthy. It’s only a matter of time before Morgan’s criminal connection blows up in her face—especially since her undeniable attraction to the man heading the investigation keeps putting her in tricky situations.
Former police detective-turned-investigator Gage Juliano has two goals: salvaging his career and nabbing Lantano Valley’s present-day Robin Hood. But when he meets a beautiful, curvaceous woman who’s more interested in helping others than amassing a fortune like the rest of the town’s residents, Gage finds his desires pulled in an unexpected direction…
Note: This novel contains some mature content.

You’ve met Anna J. Stewart (or someone like her) before. She was the girl who spun in circles on the playground hoping her Wonder Woman costume would magically appear before playing cops and robbers a la Charlie’s Angels–as Sabrina (she was the smart one). Anna was the girl in the back of the class with a paperback romance hidden in her algebra book (and yes, she failed algebra).
Growing up in the 70′s and 80′s meant there weren’t a lot of YA books, so she ventured early into mainstream fiction and read Stephen King’s CARRIE at the age of 8. Discovering Nora Roberts and romance novels early in high school opened her eyes to the wonders of storytelling and the beauty of a happily ever after.
So here she is, many years later with an English degree from CSU Sacramento, an RWA Golden Heart nomination behind her, countless stories in her head, and a serious addiction to STAR TREK, SUPERNATURAL, and SHERLOCK. She recently wrapped up a nearly 8-year stint working as assistant to NYTimes bestselling author Brenda Novak where she helped run Brenda’s annual online auction for diabetes research. When she’s not writing or reading (which she never has enough time for!), she’s working on dollhouse miniatures and tolerating her overly-affectionate cat named Snickers (or perhaps it’s Snickers who tolerates her).

Georgie doesn’t know who she is dating.
At a high society wedding, Georgie Johnson is introduced to Alexandre de Valentinois, a hereditary duke of nothing who flies around the world on his private planes and describes himself as “one of those despicable, idle rich men.” Yet, when pressed, he sings at the wedding in a gorgeous, clear tenor that tugs at Georgie’s soul, and miraculously, he calms her paralyzing stage fright so she can accompany him on the piano, even though she thought she had left her classical music career behind when she went into hiding.
But Alexandre has a dark side. His name is Xan Valentine, and he’s the rock star front man for Killer Valentine. He’s famous, but his paparazzi-dogged lifestyle might expose Georgie and get her killed.

Excerpt:
In the elevator, Georgie stood against the back wall while Alex slid a keycard into a slot above the buttons, backed away from her, and stared at the flickering floor display the whole time, which just about drove her insane until she saw the black dome embedded in the ceiling.
Okay, Georgie didn’t want to end up immortalized as a GIF entitled #GetARoom, either. She twirled her purse dangling from her wrist to pass the long, drawn-out, agonizing seconds while the elevator ascended, the increased velocity dragging at her feet.
Far up in the hotel, the elevator doors parted, and Alex seized her hand again and tugged her out of the elevator. Three doors led off the short hallway, and Georgie realized they were up in the suites.
Alex said, “It’s small. The hotel was sold out. Flicka and her wedding party booked the better suites months ago, so I was only able to get a deluxe.”
Georgie’s heart jumped in her chest, and her hands felt empty because she wasn’t touching him. “Just get us in there.”
His grin bore a touch of desperation as he flung open the door and pulled her inside after him.
Georgie caught a glimpse of a blue and white living room and a dining room with a table for six, and the scent of the white rose bundles filled the rooms as Alex pulled her though the suite. In the bedroom, golden silk draped the bed, and a breeze fluttered the white curtains over the window that was open to a view over the skyline of Paris. She tossed her purse on a nightstand.
Alex grabbed her arms, whirling her around, and he pushed her against the closed door and kissed her. The scent of sweet champagne flooded her mouth, and she breathed deeply. His forearms were braced against the door around her head, almost caging her as he bent to her. Georgie wound her arms around his neck, her fingers sliding into his long hair at the back of his neck. Alex groaned against her lips and reared back, then dipped his head to run his teeth over her neck. He shrugged his suit coat off behind himself, the dark blue fabric falling on the carpeting.
She dropped her hand, caressing his side through his shirt. Bulges of muscle rippled under her fingers. Even while his hot mouth blew champagne-scented breath on her neck, Georgie explored his body with her hands. She grabbed fistfuls of his shirt, pulling the fine cloth out of his waistband, and she ducked her hand under his shirt and soft undershirt beneath.
Ridges of muscle met her palm. He panted against her shoulder as she ran her palms and fingers into the furrows between his abdominals and up to the lean bulges of his pecs.
His hands smoothed over her hips, reaching for the zipper down her backside.
This felt tawdry, a quick fuck at a wedding with the guy she had performed a song with, and that was fantastic. Long-term relationships and even repeat sex weren’t on her agenda. Alex probably lived in Europe, and if they ever ran into each other again, they could be amicable and polite, and he would be just another guy that she used to fuck.
Perfect.

Letter from Wonder review & guest post
Rex Richardson is the only child of a reclusive and eccentric multibillionaire. Having grown up on a private island whose native society is so gloriously free that its people have developed enhanced mental powers that have enabled them to live in peace and unity for four hundred years, Rex has spent the decade since 9/11 trying to adjust to American life. He sees his father’s country as incapable of fostering any kind of happiness, and he worries that this outer world is going to swamp and destroy his childhood home where humanity has evolved to perfection. In an effort to protect Atlantica forever, Rex has made it his goal to mentally free and to spiritually unite all Americans as a first step toward uniting the world.
Rex begins an experiment on a twelve-thousand-acre Texas ranch to determine whether Americans living as Atlanticans live will be able to develop the powers of their minds. But when he moves his family to Texas to oversee his project, he puts a considerable strain on his marriage to a woman who had envisioned a more conventional life of wealth.
This clash between incompatible cultures results in the dissolution of Rex’s marriage, followed by an epic custody battle that involves three generations of his family. Into all this chaos comes Lyshann McKenzie, one of the few Americans who understands what Rex is trying to achieve. Can their blossoming love help him to resolve his differences with his family … and at last come to terms with the modern world?
Letters from Love is a seven-novel saga that tells five fresh and engaging love stories. Spanning almost five hundred years, the series will give you a new appreciation for your own glorious potential.
My thoughts:
This book was very interesting. The author knows how to write a very intriguing fast paced book. The story is about a very wealthy family uprooting and moving from an island paradise country where everyone lives in harmony from the mind to the body. Rex misses his wife and family they all think he is dead while taking care of his current wife and family. The book will keep you on your toes from start to finish. It is one book that you will remember for 2015.
Letters from Love
Roberta Grimes
Letter from Freedom, Letter from Money, and Letter from Wonder are the first trilogy of a seven-novel series. The only character that appears in all seven novels is Atlantica, an island in the South Atlantic where human life has evolved to perfection. This trilogy spans almost forty years in the life of the billionaire who owns Atlantica. His star-crossed love becomes so obsessed with the island that she chooses to rear their son there, and eventually that somewhat confused young man tries to understand the differences between his two cultures. Although Letters from Love tells a single story, all the Letters novels are independent of one another. They can be read in any order.
Because I had an extraordinary experience of light in childhood, I have spent my life studying nearly 200 years of abundant and consistent afterlife communications and relevant aspects of quantum mechanics and consciousness research. What a thrilling journey this has been! Over decades I have discovered overwhelming evidence that God is real. I have found that our lives that follow our deaths are beyond-belief wonderful, and as a bonus I have learned a great deal about human nature and the nature of reality.
The Letters novels arose from the fact that what the afterlife evidence suggests about human nature is stunningly different from what we always have assumed was true. We think of human beings as nasty brutes, Biblically fallen and requiring all the restraints of civilization to keep us from descending into bloody chaos and destroying one another. But the afterlife evidence indicates that each human mind is inextricably part of the perfectly loving and infinitely creative Mind that continuously brings forth the universe. In other words, each human being is an integral part of God. Including Charles Manson. Including Adolph Hitler. But if our minds are at their base pure and loving, then how can so much evil exist?
I began to think about this question in 1977, when I was housebound with a baby and fresh from the discouraging tumult of the nineteen-sixties. Already I could see that the religious and secular views of human beings as inherently sinful and in need of restraint were turning out to be inconsistent with what I was learning about humanity by reading afterlife communications. So I began a thought-experiment. Of course, working scientists do thought-experiments. The notion is not inherently mad! Scientists take a set of known parameters and vary some of them to see how that changes things. My thought-experiment was to place people in a culture in which freedom of mind was paramount. How might people act if they had no constraints at all? The only thing forbidden was laws or rules or anything whatsoever that imposed the smallest restriction upon the human mind.
That was how my experiment began, but I found that freedom alone is a vacuum. My people were lolling around like mice without the mental energy to run the maze. So instead I tried inventing a culture that was the literal opposite of nineteen-seventies America. I simply established that every aspect of my experimental people’s way of life would be the opposite of the way Americans then were living. And what amazed me as I observed my experimental folks going about their daily lives was that so long as I didn’t play God and interfere, they themselves worked out how to live in freedom. And their culture became amazingly stable. The process was fascinating to watch.
What surprised me most was the fact that the people in my experimental world became more and more sensitive to one another. That being perfectly free from coercion might make them more tolerant and kinder made sense, but that soon they were reading energies and becoming aware of one another’s emotions did not. Then I thought about the fact that civilization itself could be the problem. All its rules might be inhibiting our full development, when abundant afterlife evidence suggests that human beings on our own should be inherently God-like. If governments and religions are making all the wrong assumptions about human nature, then effectively their rules and restraints are placing humankind in a cage that distorts our behavior in ways that might be creating problems rather than solving them.
For example, let me introduce you to Patrick, who used to be the star of the Dallas Zoo. Patrick was born and reared in captivity. After eighteen years in Dallas, he matured into a gorgeous silverback gorilla who had no idea whatsoever of how a gorilla should behave. He got along with male gorillas, but he attacked females. He couldn’t be allowed near them. Eventually he was shipped to a gorilla reform school in South Carolina, where they are trying now to help him discover and express his true gorilla self.
You and I are in captivity, too. We live constrained by rules and customs and taboos. Of course, we think that’s fine. It makes us civilized, right? And civilization is good, by definition. The problem is that over a thousand generations of civilization, there is no evidence at all that humankind has been improved by it. So might civilization itself be the problem? Might it be time to try something new? If living in a cage made Patrick into one screwed-up gorilla, what makes us think that living in a cage is not doing the same to all of us?
Letters from Love is a seven-novel series based in what we have learned from the dead about human nature and the nature of reality. It is built around a wealthy family and the love its members have for one another. It includes a series of compelling romances. It explores love in all its permutations, but most of all it is a five-hundred-year-long love song to a group of people on an island in the South Atlantic who finally, out of all the world, have managed to figure out human life.
Letter from Freedom explores how people might live beyond the bounds of civilization. Letter from Money contrasts that simple perfection with the lives of a wealthy family in a gilded cage. In Letter from Wonder, a member of that family sets out to understand how modern-day Americans might begin to free our minds. Four additional novels are yet to come over the next ten years. It’s almost May, and some of the local ladies have organized a pagan celebration in the woods to welcome spring. But the evening goes terribly wrong when one of the attendees winds up dead, apparently poisoned by an herbal concoction prepared by Lucky’s grandfather, Jack.
Lucky’s sure her grandfather could not have made such a tragic mistake. But before she can clear him of suspicion, her best friend, Sophie, is diverted from planning her wedding to By the Spoonful chef Sage DuBois when she finds a dead man floating in the creek on her property. Now it’s up to Lucky to get both Sophie and Jack out of hot water before a killer stirs up more trouble…
My thoughts
I have to admit I have not read the first 3 books in this series. On that note I did not feel out of place while reading the book or felt like I was lacking in any knowledge. I adored the characters Lucky and Sophie are a hoot. This book is indeed cozy from the first page. I wanted the pages to keep going and not end.
I do want to read the first 3 books now as the series has taken hold of me and doesn’t want to let go. The author does a fantastic job with the story line.
