Demon Besieged – Out now!

Yessssss! I had to fight through great hordes to bring this book to you, but IT IS FINALLY HERE! (actually, I just had to fight through my early attempts at writing it, but that other sentence sounds so much more DANGEROUS!)

That’s right, my friends, Jazz and Arix have arrived. AT LONG LAST, you might be saying. And I agree. Book 3 won’t take nearly as long to get here. I have a plan. It might even be a good one.

Anyway. BOOK! WITH DEMONS! And one mouthy werewolf! You’ll get to see more of Bas and Evie (their story continues in book 3, btw) and frolic in the fun that is the demon plane. *throws glitter confetti to make everyone sparkle*

Demon Besieged – coming soon!

I’m so incredibly thrilled to announce that Demon Besieged is in my editor’s hands. This book, guys. THIS BOOK. It gave me fits. I wrote it right after I wrote Demon Restrained (almost a year ago now) and I felt like I had to do a lot of wrangling to tighten it up.

Which just goes to show the more you write, the better you become at being able to articulate what’s in your head.

So. Good news. Demon Besieged will be here soon. (I know I keep saying that. It’s totally true.) And since it’s been so long since I originally revealed the cover, here’s a refresher…

September and beyond…

I’ve had a couple questions pop up recently about what’s coming up release-wise. I thought I’d lay it all out again so it’s nice and tidy and easy to find.

The second book in the Demonkind Chronicles (Yes, it used to be the Demonkind Collective. It’s getting a slight name change.) will be the next book to hit the streets. I’m not quite where I want to be on edits, so it’ll be another week or so, but you will see Demon Besieged soon.

The first book in the Grimwood series will be the book after that. This is my dark fairy tale retelling. Book 1 ATE MY BRAIN when I sat down to write it and it fell almost fully formed from my head. It’s always awesome when that happens.

The second book in the Stronghold series will follow G1. Haven is written and has been put aside to percolate before I tackle edits on it.

I have a teaser of a story I wrote because I couldn’t get a scene out of my head, but I have NO CLUE when (or if) that’s going to see the light of day. This little beauty feels like the beginning of a new series and seeing how I’ll have three unfinished series soon, I’m thinking about shelving it until I have  more time to devote to it.

So, there you have it. Demons, Curses, and Zombies. OH MY!

Some weeks are like this.

I’m coming off co-hosting the Bout of Books readathon with my partner in crime, Amanda. Frankly, I’m beat. Reading and writing while hosting a week-long event is exhausting.

Not that I’d change it. Especially since a few new story ideas wriggled their way free during the madness.

But… I am tired. Very tired. So instead of wracking my brain to find something to blog about, I’m going to offer you all a slightly exhausted wave and continue wallowing in the story ideas swimming around in my head.

A couple cover reveals!

I have a couple covers for upcoming books I want to show off today. COVERS! NEW BOOKS! WHEEEE!

The first is for Monstrous Tales: The Complete Series. I wanted a new look for the complete series and came up with something VERY different from the installments. Same model, new look. I’m still fiddling with it, so it might go through a few small changes, but here it is…

I haven’t quite written the blurb yet. That’s my goal for next week. Once I have it all worked out, I’ll be adding this bad boy to the Box Sets and Bundles page. Woot!

The next cover is for my dark fairy tale series, Grimwood. Yes, I have a blurb written for this one, but I’m going to tease you with just the cover for now. *evil laugh*

Monstrous Tales Volume 3 – Out now!

I had intended to wait another week or so to release the 3rd Monstrous Tales bundle. Then I figured “Hey! It’s ready. WHY AM I WAITING?!?!” So, umm, Monstrous Tales Volume 3 can be found at various retail outlets around the web. YAY!

It will be available at iTunes some time in the near future, I’m just playing the waiting game to see when.

Meanwhile, I’m working on dual projects… wait. I’m working on three separate things. A triad? A triplicate? Ehh. As I battle print formatting woes (Yesssss! Monstrous Tales: The Complete Series will be in print! THIS IS SO EXCITING! Also, it’s a lot of monster sex! Wheeeee!) and work on a print cover, I’ve started on phase one (maybe it’s phase two. or three.) of polishing up Demon Besieged. More about that in a second. Thing number three has me writing a contemporary erotic romance with a little threesome action. Niiiiice.

So. Demon Besieged. You will be seeing this in September. I’m aiming for early in the month, but I’m not locked in until I get a little deeper into edits.

Fun tidbit — Demon Restrained was published at the beginning of September in 2013. Meaning not only is that book coming up on its one year anniversary, but it will also be a year since I first dipped my toes into publishing. It’s seems only right to release the second book in the series soon. (I promise not to wait as long with book 3. I PROMISE!)

As a random aside, the Demonkind Collective series will be undergoing a slight overhaul. The series will now be called the Demonkind Chronicles. Small change, everything else is remaining the same.

I keep saying finishing this series has been very bittersweet. I’ve loved writing about Ari and her monster-lovin’. I’ve loved meeting the monsters she’s come across and getting to know them. But it was time for Ari and her love to find their HEA. I do have plans for another series featuring Ari and some of the monsters she’s met along the way (as well as a few new ones), but that won’t be for a while.

Blurb and cover reveal for Monstrous Tales #10!

Here it is! The blurb and cover for the final book in the Monstrous Tales series! It gives me a shiver to know this series is drawing to a close. A good shiver. Not the type you get when you spot a spider in the middle of the hall when you’re home alone and there’s no one around to kill it and it’s right in front of the bathroom and you KNOW you’re going to have to walk past it at some point because you’ll have to pee.

Telling Ari’s story has taught me a lot about what does and doesn’t work for me with writing. I’m sure I’ll have more to say on this later (I’m SURE!), but putting down a nearly 100K story about a girl who loves monsters has been a blast and I’m so happy to see her get her HEA.

Meanwhile, I have a virtual crap ton of books and shorts written (July has been GOOD to me, writing-wise) and, as I’m gearing up toward my one year anniversary publishing my first book, I’m excited for everything I have in the works.

Let’s see what the future holds!

We’ve closed out the third week of the month and I’m LOVING what I’ve accomplished so far. Want a run down? OKAY!

From a writing standpoint, the Monstrous Tales series is complete. Book 10 will be out MIGHTY soon and then it’s just the various bundles and box sets that make up the entire shebang.

I’ve decided the next book you’re going to see once the MT series is done is the second in the Demonkind series. I’ve had this book written for AGES. I put it aside to focus on the (much) shorter installments of Ari’s story and I’ve realized it’s time to get this bad boy into your hands. Jazz and Arix will finally be coming your way! YAY!

I have the first draft of the first book in my dark fairy tale series complete. I’ve tentatively plotted six books in this series and they’ll all be based on classic fairy tales. Naturally, they’ll be a little sexy. And there might be a twist or two to them. YOU’LL SEE WHAT I MEAN!

I’m currently finishing up the second Stronghold book. Zombies! Everybody loves zombies, RIGHT? Sarah and Marcus are fun to write and the zombies are just creepy enough to leave me grinning. (Admittedly, I like when the blood and guts start flowing, so take that as you will.)

There you have it. Old series, new series, second books, BOOM!
