Pattern Interrupt

You are an intuitive, spiritual being and that inner voice is your most valuable resource, far beyond that of any logical, external advice you may hope to guide you in the months and years to come. You are your best guide, as frightening a thought as that might seem most of the time. It remains the truth.

It never ceases to amaze me how much we ignore the guidance given to us from the most high due to doubt, fear, looking for validation and logic. I have learnt that going within first is actually fool proof. To go within though, requires some work, some changes, some pattern interrupting. To go within requires still and silence.

If we are unwilling to get still, to ask ourselves some questions, to interrupt some of our habits and patterns, it becomes so much more difficult to be divinely guided. It really is that simple.

Peace

Journey to Intuition

 Hello Lovely

March is here!

I trust that you journeyed well to welcome March complete with all its adventures and lessons.

March we Journey to Intuition.

That place of inner knowing that we all possess. This place is powerful, so powerful that we ,many times, run from it, ignore it, hide it, pretend it is something else and make excuses not to factor it into our decision making process.

News flash - if you are:

1. too busy

2. too proud

3. in denial

4. living in ignorance

5. paying attention to everything outside of you

6. giving away your power to dogma, others, old habits

7. making excuses

its going to be extremely difficult to receive, listen to and have the courage to tap into your divine guidance.

What will happen? Life will keep showing you that. Life loves us that much. The prompts, messages, and guidance you receive will scare you, frighten you, excite you however it will never leave you feeling at war with yourself. There will be a peace that passes all understanding when you get still and have the courage to listen and act from that space.

So as we Journey this month, look at what your Life is saying to you, minus the judgement, the shame, the "right" or "wrong" way. Just be an observer, take it all in and then ask for Divine guidance and the courage to trust yourself- many times, the divine guidance makes no logical sense!

Peace

The Art of Rediscovering yourself

The art of rediscovering yourself over & over again - Amanda Perera

As time goes by, we grow, we change, we evolve, we shift. The challenge for many of us is we resist the natural ebb and flow of change. We resist it due to fear, lack of control and uncertainty. Newsflash, despite you resisting change, there is no way it can be stopped. When we resist, it becomes tough to live our lives fully, joyously and peacefully.

Get curious about yourself. Get curious about how you are evolving. Discover your new likes, new dislikes, encourage the newness or uniqueness of it all. This approach provides another perspective to living in fear due to uncertainty. We cannot escape uncertainty and so we must find a way to live with it minus all the anxiety that it inevitably will bring.

Rediscovering yourself takes you out of a routine bringing about more excitement, joy and even opportunities in your life.

Rediscovering yourself encourages courage, clarity, discipline and self belief.

It is a wondrous journey when embraced.

What can you do on your own Journey of Rediscovery of you?

Peace

Make Room For It

When something is familiar even if its no good for us, the mind has a tendency to hold on to it.

If we do a reflection on our lives and how we live, most of what will come up is that we live our lives based on habits, familiarity, rituals and being in a comfort zone. Humans love control, we love certainty, all of which are huge illusions.

We get into a routine. We train our brain to follow.

We follow what was given from our families.

We settle into a comfort.

We look at what has been done by others.

We take cues from society.

We hold on to many of the sameness, the safety, the comfort, sometimes at our own expense. We slip into these habits and patterns because we are afraid of losing what we know. There is a saying "better the devil you know, than the devil you don't" suggesting that we take less risks, stay in our comfort zones and work with what is in front of us. There may be merit in keeping rituals and values passed down, the question that must be asked- are these habits, rituals, comfort being kept support my growth, development and best life. Or is it in contradiction to how we live our lives.

Let us not allow fear stop us from taking the risks to improving our lives, from holding on to the familiar to avoid disappointing and hurting others yet hurting ourselves more. Let us be mindful that we have the opportunity to curate and design our own lives, keeping in mind that we must have the faith to be divinely guided even if it makes us uncomfortable.

How can you move away from the familiarity, habits, rituals and comfort that no longer serves you with no judgement?

Peace

Life is always on time

I'm unlearning lack. I'm trusting in abundance. I'm unlearning scarcity. I'm trusting in abundance. this isn’t a new season, this is a new lifestyle. my luck won’t run out because it was never luck to begin with. this is a blessed life. a protected life. I'm believing in that. Iman Europe

Yesterday, there was a nationwide wide blackout for almost twenty four hours. This impacted our ability to access internet, water and a few other public utilities. Initially when the power was cut, I thought, ok, no worries, this will be an hour max. I downed tools and decided to take a break waiting for the power to be restored. An hour turned into two. I began getting hungry. With no access to social media, I was not fully aware of what was going on in the outside world. After 3 hours passed, I got a call  from a friend saying that power will be out for at least a few more hours. I needed to get food. Jumped in the car and went food hunting. All the places I would usually go, were shut tight. I found myself in a different space, the only spot that was opened.  I bought something to eat that I would not normally get - it really was not a normal day was it?

I decided to sit still, to recognize that even in the midst of what was happening, all my needs were met. Trust me, this changed my entire outlook, recognizing that in this very moment I was good, I was taken care of. Even the meeting that I had with folks in Washington, it could not go on, I found a way to send them a message and it was rescheduled, easy as peasy.

In the midst of so many seeming crises, if we pause, sit still and look around we would see that all our needs are met. It's the wants that we fuss over. What we want versus what we need.

I have learnt when we are grateful for the needs, the wants get handled. Gratitude multiplies what is there.

The power eventually came back almost midnight, by that time I was so grateful for the full moon and the silence I did not even put my phone on nor check social media.

Life is always on time reminding us to pause and what is important.

Peace

Rest is Part of the Journey

We ignore our bodies' need to rest and  in doing so we lose tough with our spirit. Our bodies know even when our minds do not. Nap Ministry

This past week I have been forced to rest. Why did it have to be forced?  When life is on, we tend to want to get things done, we want to get things right, we want to finish what we started, to close the deal, the deadlines, the urgency. In all of that, we neglect, forget and plain ole not think it is important. Until life says, slow down, back up, rest!

I have learnt that  Rest is part of the Journey.

Lest we forget, life is kind enough to shut us down to remind us, that process may not seem kind, it really is! We get the amber light before the red light.

I took the time to rest and am truly happy that I did.

Pay attention to life's traffic lights.

Peace

Be Still and Know

Get still (as still as you are able) and ask to have it revealed...believe that it can be revealed and some part of you knows. Don't be attached to what you think it will look like or how it will feel. You are having an intellectual conversation with yourself about an emotional/belief level blockage. The ego/intellect will actually keep you distracted from dropping in. Don't "think" about it...sit and wait for the answer. Be patient and allow it to come forward. Laura Rawlings

1. Be still and know the power of connection.

2. Be still and know that your light makes a difference.

3. Be still and know that you are seen and loved - there is nothing to prove.

4. Be still and know the power of your truth.

5. Let stillness come over you when noise fills your mind.

6. Stillness is not paralysis.

7. Stillness is the active pursuit of a mindful response to the inhumane and the unjust.

8. Stillness is fire and ice.

9. Stillness is peace at the edge.

10. Stillness is gratitude in the face of a challenge.

Peace

The first person on the receiving end of your love should always be you

The first person on the receiving end of your love should always be you. Ebonee Davis

It took me quite a while to recognize that everything starts within- everything. It starts with an idea, a feeling, a thought, a hunch. All of which are inside jobs. When I finally got the lesson, it became easier and easier to stop looking for external validation to push me forward. It also became easier to set and keep boundaries and most importantly for me, to let go, to stop wanting to control everything.

Wanting to control everything around me was so exhausting, I have learnt that wanting to know everything was a survival technique. When I substituted wanting control for having faith and letting go of knowing it all, a peaceful and magical existence started emerging. I began noticing how much more fun it was to see things evolve and manifest without my interference.

Love and Loving is also an inside job. Loving yourself starts with accepting that you are here as a manifestation of a divine idea of the Most High. Knowing that I am a divine idea manifested truly shifted how I saw myself! Not only am I divine, but all of the stories I either made up or adopted from others of being not good enough, or having to prove my worth were simply that...stories.

Think Love, Talk Love. Be Love - first to yourself and watch how it multiplies in your life.

Eat well

Rest well

Set Boundaries well

Dress well

Talk to yourself well

and always give thanks.

Start there!

Peace

What Are You Giving Your Attention To?

Giving all of our attention to the unwanted aspects of our lives allows what we resist to persist. Laura Rawlings

My friends, you must have  heard me mention this before, today I felt guided to talk about it gain because I have been asking myself some questions.

Do we pay attention to what we are thinking about, saying, watching on social media?  Are we in alignment with what we are thinking, saying and doing?

When there is little or alignment, we confuse ourselves and we confuse the Universe. The Universe is waiting to fulfil our requests, our desires.

It's like watching fitness videos and reels, all the while in our mind saying I ought to be working out yet making absolutely movement with our bodies and at the same time eating foods that is not nourishing to your body. There is no alignment in words, thoughts and action.

Or we talk about and think about making a change to our life situation yet we continue to do the same things over and over expecting a different result.

I know, I know, change is hard, there is no guarantee that it would work the way we want it to work, what would people say, what about the time and resources I invested in this job, marriage, time, organization?

There comes a time when we must get still and ask ourselves, what am I giving my attention to? Life will answer you. It will be your responsibility to accept what life answers with. This I have learnt, life is always guiding us gently and when we refuse to to take that gentle guidance it becomes a little less gentle.

What are your conversations about?

What are you watching on social media?

What are you thinking and saying to yourself?

If you don't know, watch at what your life tells you.

Peace

Journey to Gratitude

2.2.22

All of it serves purpose. What a beautiful realization. Godis Oya

Give thanks for it all is one of the most important lessons on my own Journey.

Gratitude is the great multiplier. It multiplies not just blessings, it grows our awareness for what is beautiful around us, what is simply doing its thing and our awareness of what we take for granted.

Make gratitude a ritual. Give thanks as a daily habit, part of your day. Slowly and surely you begin to see something like the sun rising as an opportunity to be grateful to be a part of the experience.

There are many ways we can make gratitude a ritual and part of our daily lives.

Formally, you can have a gratitude journal which guides you to write what you are grateful for on a daily basis. There is also a gratitude jar, everything that you are grateful for write it down and put in the jar, at the end of the month and year, open the jar and read it.

Informally you can wake up daily and just say "Thank You"

Thank you is a prayer.

Thank you as a meditation.

A gratitude attitude will rewire your brain, helping you to be present where you are, to be self aware and to recognize that all the dots are connected.

What are some of the ways you can make gratitude a ritual in your life?

Peace
