How to Format Text in WordPress Posts or Pages (Video)
Today we are going to talk about formatting the text in a WordPress post or page.
I’m sure that most of you are fairly comfortable making text bold, italic or centering your text. The video that I’ve created for this week’s post is a short review of the non-standard formatting that is available for WordPress posts and pages – you know, the stuff that we rarely use, but really should!
Many studies have shown that readers of electronic sources have the attention span of a gnat. We need to cater to that if we want our readers to actually read all of what we want to share with them.
In order to do that we change up the text:
Highlight some text
Use sub-heads
♥♥♥Use fancy characters ♥♥♥
Have a look at the latest video and see if you can get some ideas to spruce up your posts or pages!
I hope you learned something from this week’s video. Feel free to share this post with a friend and don’t forget to sign up for my Tech Hints newsletter to get some helpful hints sent to your inbox!

12 Twitter Stats to help get you more Conversions (Infographic)
Welcome back to Bakerview Consulting!
Today’s infographic is about Twitter. Love it or hate it, Twitter seems to be here to stay. I’ve heard all sorts of complaints about Twitter – too spammy, too fast, etc. I agree with this, but my response is usually to ask what the complainer’s Twitter strategy is. Although I’m a HUGE fan of stats, I think most people do use them to their full advantage.
So, when I found this infographic, I just had to share. I hope that you can benefit from some of this information.

How to Link Pictures in a Blogger Post (video)
Today we are going to learn how to link or hyperlink pictures in a Blogger post or page. This is something that we also call ‘Hotlinking.’
The question of ‘Why’ often comes up. Why would you want to link your pictures in your post or a page. Let’s take the example of a book cover. If the book cover is linked to an Amazon buy page (as an example) if the cover is clicked on, the reader will be taken directly to Amazon to buy a copy.
Let’s say you want to add a fancy graphic as a ‘read more’ button on your post. This video will help you link that graphic as well.
With the increased used of mobile devices, people are more and more likely to tap or click on pictures to see what they will do. Add some functionality to your pictures. Make is easy for your readers click to find extra information!
If you found this video helpful, be sure to share with your friends. As always, don’t hesitate to ask questions!

Social Media Ad Spending (Infographic)
So…how much do you spend on Social Media Ads?
I must admit, I dabble.
I found this infographic full of interesting tidbits. For example, apparently the cost of Facebook ads rose by 54% last year and that other cost per click ads rose only 8% during that same period. Half a million FB pages are promoted by some sort of ad.
What can you find on this infographic that interests you?
