The prolific author just completed Black and Blue, a 52 Blocks/African martial arts epic film.  He is presently writing a martial arts thriller  describe as Power meets the Five Deadly Venoms.



As well as, Kill City is about a woman who is a chef and martial arts expert who is drawn into a serial murder investigation as a consultant because the victims are all martial arts masters.

Finally, Balogun has completed Granma’s Hand is a Dieselfunk novel about a 14 year old hero fighting to save Black America from an occultist white supremacist group that has figured out how to re-institute slavery.

Author Kai Leakes was an imaginative child, who gained an addiction to books at an early age. Writing didn’t seem her path, but with the goal of sharing tales that entertain and add color to a gray literary world has become a part of her DNA. Having gained her MA and a Doctorate candidacy in Counseling, Kai Leakes currently resides in her hometown of St. Louis, MO.



As a creative, she likes to cook and dabble in Photoshop. Her love of romance, fantasy, and all things vampires has reinforced her world-building gifts and led her to craft her popular ‘Sin Eaters’ Devotion series & companion novella: ‘Rebel Guardians’, and co-authored, ‘A Christmas Kind of Love’, romance novella. Her recent work also includes the steamfunk horror adventure/novella: ‘Oni’s Tears.’



While being a hopeless romantic she is releasing the upcoming contemporary and passionate series, “Love, Trust & Pleasure: A Brothers of Kemet Series. Kai’s unique passion for romance with a touch of darkness has allowed her to be featured in the HWA award-nominated horror anthology ‘Sycorax’s Daughters’, and sci-fi anthology ‘The City’. Chris Turner – Creator Spotlight

Chris Turner, a Chicago Southside native, is self-taught artist with a style heavily influenced by Japanese anime, American comic books and early 90’s video games. He enjoys collaborating with independent writers and artists on unique projects. Some of his inking clients/projects have been PUNXofRAGE by Joe Robinson Currie, Almighty Street Team and more. He also finds time to co-host PUNXofRAGE Radio podcast with Joe Robinson Currie. Chris Turner is diligently working on his Tokusatsu inspired comic, Dial Exces.

Dial Exces Story Synopsis: After being struck by a car and nearly killed, Marcus DuBel undergoes a procedure to save his life, replacing his damaged heart with a mechanical apparatus, giving him the ability to transform into the armored soldier Exces. Using his newfound powers, Marcus must now combat the mysterious creatures known as the Dolm, as they attempt to replace humanity on top of the evolutionary ladder.
