Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake.

My favorite way to eat a chocolate chip cookie – when it’s the size of a cake! Decorate with frosting, slice, and serve.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake with Milk Chocolate Frosting - the best way to eat a chocolate chip cookie!

This is going to be your new favorite dessert. In fact, if you make 1 cake recipe from my blog, this has got to be it. Here’s why:

It’s incredibly simple, super quick, straightforward, easy ingredients, there’s chocolate, more chocolate, chewy edges, a soft center, and three words: milk chocolate frosting.

It’s a thick, soft-baked chocolate chip cookie the size of a cake. Are you convinced yet?

Soft, thick, and ultra chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake! No dough chilling, no dough rolling, so much easier than baking cookies.

If you know me at all, you know I’m a fan of giant cookies. Let’s see… Giant Reese’s Pieces Cookie, Giant Oatmeal Creme Pie, XXL Death by Chocolate Cookie, Giant Snickerdoodle Cookie, Giant Peanut Butter Monster Cookie, and a Giant Sugar Cookie to finish it all off. Have you tried any of my giant cookie recipes yet?

Grandma’s Caramel Corn.

Sweet and crunchy, this caramel corn is so easy to make at home! You’ll find yourself baking batch after addicting batch.

Homemade Caramel Corn by sallysbakingaddiction.com- sticky, crunchy, sweet, and irresistible!

Tomorrow, March 17th, is my grandmother’s birthday.

I started my blog two weeks after Grandma passed away from Alzheimer’s. Grandma was a baker, gardener, hard worker, and had a heart full of love. She always got my sisters and I excited about being in the kitchen. Grandma had a huge sweet tooth that she (thankfully!) passed down to me.

Grandma Harlett

Grandma was known for a few things. Her laugh, her sticky pecan rolls, homemade chex mix, pecan pie, and her buttery caramel corn.

I published her sticky pecan rolls and caramel corn recipes in my cookbook and make her pecan pie each November. If you have tried any of them, you know her recipes are like finding gold!

Sparkling Fruit Sangria.

A crowd-pleasing bubbly, fruity white sangria that is perfect for any occasion!

Sparkling Fruit Sangria filled with champagne, berries, oranges, and more. There's always a reason for celebrating with sangria!

TGIF! Well, in 4 hours. It’s ok to start the weekend a little early. ;)

I am so excited for this weekend because I’m going home to my parents’ house in Philly. Have I told you we’re moving to Philly later this year? Yup, moving 100 miles north one month before wedding – why not throw a little more stress into the mix, right?

I’ll be needing a lot of this fruity sangria to get through it all.

A crowd-pleasing bubbly, fruity white sangria that is perfect for any occasion! sallysbakingaddiction.com

My mom is throwing a cookbook signing party with all our family friends this Sunday. Lots of friends, cookies, cookbooks, and sangria. Mom is so proud of my cookbook; she carries it around in her purse.

In light of the big celebrations ahead, I made a pitcher of this sparkly fruit sangria. Colorful and fizzy, this sangria is full of champagne, sweet white wine, oranges, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, a kiss of lemon, a touch of OJ, and a lot of sparkle.

Homemade BBQ Chicken Pizza.

Thick style homemade pizza crust topped with sweet BBQ sauce, chopped chicken, onions, cilantro, and tons of cheese. Your soon-to-be favorite pizza!

Homemade BBQ Chicken Pizza recipe by sallysbakingaddiction.com. Ditch the delivery, this pizza will be your new favorite!

Let’s take a quick break from dessert and talk pizza. Cheesy, doughy, crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, loaded, homemade pizza.

What’s your favorite kind? For me, nothing beats my sweet & salty apple gorgonzola creation. But this BBQ chicken pizza is in close 2nd place! Sweet BBQ sauce, chopped chicken, red onions, a dash of cilantro, and tons of cheese.

My version of savory heaven, right here.

Homemade BBQ Chicken Pizza recipe by sallysbakingaddiction.com. Ditch the delivery, this pizza will be your new favorite!

I don’t eat a ton of meat, but when I do – it’s usually BBQ chicken. My birthday dinner every May is BBQ chicken on the grill, I’m a sucker for pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches, and the best salad I ever ate was topped with… you guessed it… BBQ chicken. And Sweet Baby Ray’s is my only sauce of choice.

(PS: it’s embarrassing how quickly we go through this.)

I made this homemade BBQ chicken pizza last weekend. If you listened to my interview on NPR yesterday (here is the interview online – yes, it was VERY weird hearing myself on the radio!), you heard me talk about burning a pizza recipe. And it was this very recipe.

Banana Cupcakes with Chocolate Peanut Butter Frosting.

The ultimate trio of your favorite flavors! Super-moist banana chocolate chip cupcakes topped with milk chocolate and peanut butter swirled frosting.

The ultimate trio of your favorite flavors! Super-moist banana chocolate chip cupcakes topped with milk chocolate and peanut butter swirled frosting.

Today’s recipe was inspired by my recent 10pm snack of banana slices drizzled with melted dark chocolate. I arranged the slices nicely on a fancy plate, made myself a cup of tea, and was planning to slowly enjoy my snack as I finished up some photo edits for the evening.

I inhaled it all in about 5 second flat. I don’t even think I came up for air. Anyone who has self control around the combination of chocolate and banana – I applaud you.

The ultimate trio of your favorite flavors! Super-moist banana chocolate chip cupcakes topped with milk chocolate and peanut butter swirled frosting.

The next day, I used the rest of my ripe bananas to make these banana chocolate chip cupcakes to bring to my friend Kristen’s house. Ultra ripe bananas are key to the cupcake’s flavor. Brown, heavily spotted bananas will make the very best banana cupcakes.

The cupcakes are the moistest cupcakes I’ve ever made. They’re soft and light, unlike a dense, tight-crumbed slice of banana bread. Even on day 2 – these banana cupcakes are still incredibly moist and soft. If you make cupcakes for a living, then you know finding a cupcake recipe that remains this way past day 1 is a major feat! You have the bananas, brown sugar, and buttermilk to thank for their moist texture.

Lemon Sweet Rolls.

Fluffy & soft lemon sweet rolls covered in a simple lemon cream cheese frosting. These rolls use my quick sweet roll dough – only 1 rise!

Fluffy and soft Lemon Sweet Rolls topped with Cream Cheese Frosting. You will fall in love with their sunshine-sweet flavor!

Is there truly anything better than waking up to the smell of warm cinnamon rolls baking in the oven? No. At least that’s what I thought before I smelled the sunshine-sweet aroma wafting from my kitchen as these fluffy lemon rolls baked.

They’re springtime in a pan. Happiness in a fluffy spiral. Lemon cream cheese frosting, vanilla bean, lemon zest, and soft buttery dough all in one.

Move over Kevin, I think I’m in love with a sweet roll…

Fluffy and soft Lemon Sweet Rolls topped with Cream Cheese Frosting. You will fall in love with their sunshine-sweet flavor!

After a night out with friends last weekend, I woke up craving something carby. Kevin mentioned he could go for a giant cinnamon roll and… while I can ALWAYS go for a giant cinnamon roll, I had a better idea. Let’s use up all the lemons in the crisper drawer, the cream cheese sitting in the fridge, and my 1 vanilla bean leftover from a recent batch of very vanilla cupcakes.

Thus these Lemon Sweet Rolls + Buttery Lemon Vanilla Bean Filling + Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting were born. Geez, what a mouthful. A tasty mouthful.

Mint Oreo Truffles.

Only 3 ingredients needed to make these mint chocolate truffles. They taste like chocolate-covered Oreo cheesecakes!

Only 3 ingredients needed to make these mint chocolate truffles. They taste like chocolate-covered Oreo cheesecakes!

Today I’m sharing the minty version of my favorite Golden Oreo Truffles. I’m sharing these truffles again because I have a few new tips and tricks for you to make them.

Have you ever had Oreo truffles before? If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile now, you are certainly familiar with these no-bake treats. They’re nothing new, nothing revolutionary, but my god… these simple Oreo truffles are so dang good!

Only 3 ingredients needed to make these mint chocolate truffles. They taste like chocolate-covered Oreo cheesecakes!

I like to make these minty Oreo treats in the colder months because (1) they are perfect for the holidays, springtime, St. Patty’s Day, and Easter. And (2) because the chocolate won’t melt in .5 seconds all over my fingers and then on my clothes. Yum, yes. Neat, no.
