Reading is an adventure!

For the moment, I'm having trouble discovering exactly who took this picture. In the interim, enjoy the moment!

I'm pretty sure it is!

Is Eating People Wrong?  (by Allan C. Hutchinson) is a fine book title. In fact, it's so good, I want to nominate it as a late entry for the Oddest Book Title of the year.

Is Eating People Wrong? also has a similarity with the already-nominated title Managing a Dental Practice the Genghis Khan Way.

Both books stress the importance of flossing!

The Interrogation!

This new video for The Big Book of Spy Stuff raises a number of interesting questions, for example: Why was it made?

Managing a Dental Practice the Genghis Khan Way!

The Diagram Prize is given annually to the Oddest Book Title of the year. You might recall that last year, Soft Drink and Fruit Juice Problems Solved was robbed when Crocheting Adventures with Hyperbolic Planes took top honors.

This year, six books are fighting it out again. The dark horse is What Color Is Your Dog ? by
Joel Silverman.

But I don't see how anyone can beat Managing a Dental Practice the Genghis Khan Way
 by Michael R. Young!

Dismal Nitch!

Dismal Nitch, Washington, originally uploaded by Bart King.

This is a rest stop in southwestern Washington. If you're in the car with someone who's relentlessly cheerful, pull in here. The show tunes will trail off and be replaced with melancholy gazes.

"Only I knew her page number..."

How can we define the mystical mystery wrapped in a hard taco shell that we call "reading"? And does it have a smell? I have no idea, but this video by Ron Charles is extremely funny regardless!

The Author's Greatest Riddle!

"What's your book about?"

You'd THINK the answer to this question would be easy! On the one hand, I could just say, "It's about spy stuff." But that's so obvious, it might seem mean!

On the other hand, there's a lot of good material in Spy Stuff... but if I start talking and talking about it, that sort of defeats the purpose of WRITING the book in the first place!

So in case it's helpful, here's the table of contents for The Big Book of Spy Stuff.
