Shipping Container Library!

The Biebus is a portable, expandable library. With its transparent floor, and giant portals, it's about the coolest place to read I can think of.

Architect Jord den Hollander designed the Biebus with 100 meters of book shelves. The see-though floor magnifies the kids reading area, making them seem gigantic!

I like book reviews that start like this!

Boy, oh boy, do I LOVE Bart King's books! Over the years I have had the pleasure of reviewing many, from The Pocket Guide to Mischief to The Big Book of Gross Stuff. Bart's books always make me laugh out loud. Reading his work has become as much a staple at our family gatherings as eating the mashed potatoes!
When I arrive, I am jumped by adults and kids alike, looking for the latest. I can't wait to show them The Big Book of Spy Stuff. Only Bart could make the creepy world of spying so hilarious.
Read more of this review by the very kind Tina Michaels Coury over at her blog, Tales from the Rushmore Kid!

An Important Message!

Mocking the people who stare at their cell phones is a great idea. (And it also reminds me not to do it myself!) You can buy the above as a poster from Burning Books Posters.

And because its message is so important, I've taken the liberty of making a text version below.

Notice is hereby given that all citizens MUST everywhere and everyday constantly fiddle with their cell phones.
AT NO TIME is it permissible to sit idle and observe the poetry of life or look into the eyes of another person.
Aberration will not be tolerated!
The arrival of a snippet of trivial text holds the promise of unimagined pleasure!
Drivers, this means YOU. Honor thy ringtone and thy jiggling hand-held device above all other gods.
REMEMBER ALWAYS:
Practice constant devotion to the precious object
Give full attention to the glorious technology
Maintain unselfish love for the flimsy hardware

When dinosaurs visit schools...

...there is screaming. LOTS of screaming!I have to say, that's about the best puppet/costume I've ever seen. I love the fact that the guy inside is sprinting around at the end!

Coolest. Kid. Ever!

He does not care about the three girls behind him in the Apple store. He just wants to sing! (And dance.)

Can you guess the plot twist?

Sure, it's easy to smirk at this cover. "She's got a secret that's long overdue"?

Then make her pay the fine and kick her out!

And yes, I see that the guy is a tattooed hipster while the young lady has apparently stepped out of a time machine from the Midwest in 1880.

But don't underestimate this subtle romance.

Because —and this is the part that's going to blow your mind— it's the GUY who is the librarian.

Is your mind blown?
