Winnie the Pooh needs behavioral meds

BibliOdyssey

So I was just reading a study titled "Pathology in the
Hundred Acre Wood: a neurodevelopmental perspective on A.A. Milne," and I
thought I'd share its abstract with you:

Somewhere at the top of the Hundred Acre Wood a little boy
and his bear play. On the surface it is an innocent world, but on closer
examination by our group of experts we find a forest where neurodevelopmental
and untreated.

So what kind of mental problems are we talking about here?

Winnie the Pooh: ADHD,inattentive subtype.

Piglet: Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Eeyore: endogenous depression.
Owl: Obviously bright, but dyslexic.

Roo: Growing up in a single-parent household, at high-risk
for criminal problems.

Tigger: Recurrent pattern of risk-taking behaviours.

Rabbit: No real problem, but that little rodent IS extraordinarily
self-important, isn't he?

Spectacular German Motorcycle Wipe-out!

Not really. It is funny, though.

Just ask this guy's friends.

The Force abandoned him.

This Oregonian news story is almost perfect:

Portland police arrest man after alleged  'Star Wars' light
saber assault

Police arrested a man who allegedly assaulted three people
with a blue light saber at a…Toys R Us Wednesday night.
A 9-1-1 caller . . . said the man was inside the store,
swinging the "Star Wars" weapon of choice at customers, said Sgt.
Pete Simpson, a spokesman for the Portland Police Bureau. While the caller was
on the phone, the man then left the store — light saber in hand — and walked
out to the parking lot.
Officers tried to arrest the man, but he kept swinging the
light saber at them, Simpson said. One tried to use his Taser on the suspect
but the device didn't work.
Another officer used his Taser and made contact, but the man
knocked one of the wires away with the light saber . . .
None of the victims of the light saber assault needed
medical attention, Simpson said.

Funny Story!

Way back in April, the School Library Journal
called Bart's King-Sized Book of Fun "an activity book extraordinaire for cool kids
everywhere
" ... but I never knew it! (Arg.) Here's the full review:

This is a lively and entertaining collection of tricks,
jokes, facts, recipes, games, pranks, wordplay, and all-around fun. Inventions
include airbag pants, a disco ball made from old CDs, and a remote-control
pumpkin. Creative costume ideas include a pinata, an alien, chewed gum, a
shooting star, and more. Adult supervision is noted when appropriate. Small
black-and-white cartoons are scattered throughout. An activity book
extraordinaire for cool kids everywhere.

Subject agreement error? That's a 15 yard penalty.
