October Ghoul Fest: Werewolves

Every Friday this month is dedicated to the Ghoulish aspect
of literature. I’m going to talk specifically about the monsters that haunt
pages and share my thoughts on the creatures that have captured the curious and

Why Your Fiction Needs Facts

I’ve seen a lot of instances where newbie writers extol
their love of fiction and say something to the effect of: If I don’t know (how

So Long, September

Words Written: 44,091

I managed to hit my month goal, which was nice after several
months of low word count. It’s amazing how much things like formatting and

too engrossed in meeting counts when I’m uber busy, I can and have found that
I’ll forget to eat. Bad writer.

IWSG: Advice on Writing, Publishing, and Marketing

This post is part of  the Insecure Writer's Support Group

Writing - Make it a
Habit and Keep Yourself Accountable
Twitter and cat videos can be fun, but they don’t get any
words on a page. Setting daily goals, making writing a habit and keeping
yourself accountable are all keys to getting where you want to be. The goals don’t
have to be huge, your habit doesn’t have to consume your whole

Dark Space

Sentients of Orion #1

My Summary:

In the dark of space, Jo-Jo Rasterovich found God. At
least that’s what it tells everyone it is. And god has tasks for those willing
to join consciousness with it. Tekton is eager to join and please this “god”
but the competition is fierce and his task seems impossible.

Why I Think It’s Important to Read All Genres… And Why That SometimesGets In The Way.

If you follow me on GoodReads, you’ll notice that I read just about everything. You name a genre… I’ve read something from it. If I haven’t, I’ve probably got something in my TBR pile for it. And if not, please give me a suggestion because I love exploring genres I’ve never heard of.

Reading well written books in a variety of genres helps me as a writer. It gives me an opportunity to
