Editing: The Story Comes First
The Revision pile amid the other piles and paint pots and varietals of tea on my desk
I’m
still chipping away at a hefty pile of manuscripts that need to be
edited. I actually have pages that need to be input sitting at my elbow,
but I’m writing this post instead.
So
when you sit down to edit a book (or stand up, or lay down, or however
you approach it) what is the first thing you

July is (Finally) Over
July is over and gone…. how did that happen?

heat and the dust storms. (but that’s probably not the real reason)

August
is here and now and I’ve every plan of getting back on track and
keeping up with this. You are more than welcome to start a betting pool
if you think I won’t be able to hack it.

City of Fallen Angels
(Book 4 The Mortal Instruments)

to). But once I did, I was very happy to see that the characters had
been irrevocably changed. Let’s face it, you don’t go through what they

Normal Writing Days in July
My “normal writing days for this month are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.I’ll talk about Mondays and Thursdays some other time. Today is about what I do on what I call a normal day. In general I have the ability to write from 8:30a- noon and then again from 2-4pm. So that’s five and a half hours of available writing time give or take depending on the day and other minor factors. For June, my

Two Ways to Get Free Books (Giveaway)
#1 (Paperback) - Giveaway time!
Today through next Wednesday (July 9, 2014), I'll be collecting the names of anyone who's reviewed one of the Flynn novels, and putting them in a drawing to nab a signed paperback copy of Windthrow.
Each review gets your name in the hat, and each book can have two reviews from around the web (amazon/blog/goodreads/fb/etc). So you're eligible for 6 entries.

Finally, I'm getting my butt in gear on these print versions. I'm hoping to have the print editions of the next two flynn books available in the next week or two, and from now on there shouldn't be any lag in when you can get the print version from when you can get the kindle format.
So yeah! Enemies is available in print on Amazon now.
Here's the paperback link
And isn't the back cover
