March #Prototype Raffle

July 24, 2014
We’re just under 5 months away from PROTOTYPE’s release, and I’m already excited to share it with you guys. I know some of you are bouncing with me after that cliffhanger ending in ARCHETYPE.
The story begins a year and four months later, and if I did my job right, will have you gasping by the end of chapter 1. *crosses fingers* You won’t find the slower pace of ARCHETYPE within these pages, folks.
There will be some returning characters, but what I’m most excited about are the new...

Writing Diary: Week 1
My sister (the smart one) tells me a while ago I should chronicle my publishing experiences in a series of blog posts because she finds this entire thing so awesome. It is, but that’s not the point. My response to her sounded something like, PAH. Right. Because it’s impossible. For plenty of reasons. The big one being that I can’t actually tell you things that happen when they happen.
I had a moment last week where I realized I’m about to start two novels. Almost simultaneously. (I’m stupid ea...

Sexism in Genre: My Thoughts
Stop it. Did you really think I’d add fuel to this fire?
Support the writer next to you with a high-five and a hell yeah. I don’t care if they write dinosaur erotica surrounded by Smurfs posters.
Writers, write what you love. I know I am. And with every word I type, I’m going to hope J.J. Abrams discovers me and can’t think of anything better than turning my novel into a motion picture.
And finally…
Can we get more men writing romance?

2013, How I Loved Thee
Last post of the year! I can hardly believe it’s OVER.
There are a ton of reasons why I loved 2013. After all, this was the year I’ve been dreaming about since I first put craptastic word to craptastic page eons of years ago. Not that it was all roses this year, but it was really great.
1. I worked with, experienced new things along with, and met with the most incredible agent… I couldn’t have asked for a better 3rd parent than Jennifer. I’ve heard the horror stories, and worried my crazy fool...

#Archetype Hero Search

David Gandy as Declan Burke
So the raffle doesn’t end until Saturday night (enter, enter, enter!), but I couldn’t resist taking a peek at your answers to the couple questions I asked:
Based on everything you’ve read, who do you think ARCHETYPE’s Hero really is?
I find it interesting to say the least how the results are rolling up.
Foster- 0
He passes me a small gun. “You’ll need this and you’ll need me.”
Declan – 7
“I will not mark your skin because the means I am giving in to that world, which alre...

#Archetype: Chapter 7
Chapter 7 is one of my favorites! Let me put it to you this way: Things get a little interesting. A little climactic. A little steamy. Emma steps up her game, but…
So do they.
“We’re restricting your activities for a while.”
“What? No!”
He nods once. “I’m sorry, but your health means more than anything else.”
Scorching hot tears threaten, and a roll of heat moves up my chest and into my face. Declan’s eyes widen when I throw my sheet off my lower body and stand opposite him. I barely notice the co...
