Living in Interesting Times

Dear Old Souls,

We are living in interesting times. It feels like we’re on the precipice, and people are on edge, “on the edge” and maybe you’ve even thought some people have gone over the edge. But if you think about it, times have always been interesting in varying degrees, with their combinations of strife and struggle, joy and wonder. The times have always had a mix of both.

Ultimately, how it ends up affecting us depends on whether we focus on the former or the latter. There’s no doubt that ...

Using Imagery to Open the Heartspace

What is Heartspace?

I have come to the conclusion that the heart, in the metaphysical sense anyway, is the seat of the soul. It is the energy center in the body that radiates and connects to all of the other energy centers, both major and minor. It is also, according to the Heartmath Institute, a brain in and of itself, emitting electromagnetic fields that change based on emotions.

“The heart is the seat of the soul. Imagery is its language.”

~Michele Jennae

In fact, the heart forms in a fetus b...

Did You Know The Moon is Always in Retrograde?

What is Retrograde?

We are always hearing about Mercury in Retrograde and if we say it, fear is often on our lips. We are just coming out of the second retrograde of Mercury for 2020 on July 12.

Retrograde simply means to move backwards. But planets don’t actually move backwards. They just APPEAR to move backwards. In fact, even the Moon appears to be moving backwards, ALL THE TIME!!

Moon in Retrograde

Now I am no astrologist, much less an astronomist, but I believe in the power of signs and...

The Heart is where Home is!

Paradigm Shift Ahead

The Heart is where Home is. There’s a turn of phrase for your consideration!

“Home is where the heart is” is one of those phrases that’s supposed to make us feel good. It reminds me of my recent move to Arkansas. I moved with my husband late last year while my daughters chose to remain behind and live with their Dad. It’s really heartbreaking if you consider that my heart broke in two, one part moving across the country and one part remaining with my children.

I have found a...

The Diver and the Fisherman Meditation

This meditation was designed for use with Intuitive Imagery sessions: Using the Old Soul Oracle deck in your home, In Old Soul Oracle courses, and during LIVE Intuitive Imagery sessions with Michele Jennae.

The Descent – Preceding your Imagery Work

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. In…. and out…. In…. and out…. See in your mind’s eye, or imagine, a beautiful young maiden dancing through a field of flowers. Breathe in the fragrance of the flowers, perhaps of your favorite flower. This ...

And All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt

Souvenirs and Substitutes

Do you remember when your parents or your grandparents or your favorite Aunt and Uncle went to Hawaii or the Grand Canyon and brought back souvenirs? A keychain, a coffee mug, a shot glass, or maybe it was the lousy T-Shirt. Someone even had the brilliant idea to make T-Shirts that actually said things like, “My parents went to Maui and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt.”

Maybe they gave you the play by play of their trip, describing their water activities, their mixup a...

Finding Peace in the Chaos

Old Soul Oracle Reading 5/27/20

If you know me, you probably have some idea of how the Old Soul Oracle cards work, but if you don’t or it’s your first time visiting my Old Soul Spaces, the cards are designed to activate within you, your own Inner Wisdom and intuition. So the following reading is personal to me, (your interpretation would likely be very different) but I am sharing it because I believe it has universal wisdom as well.

I was gifted with a visualization that has served me and perhap...

Embarking on the Heroine’s Journey

Abandon the Hero’s Journey?

To embark on the Heroine’s Journey is to shift our paradigm. It is to embrace the Divine Feminine within us all. It is of increasing importance for women to do this journey for themselves, as our world tumbles in chaos and uncertainty. I think of our world currently as a warped ball that cannot roll straight. Remember your kickball or your soccer ball as a kid, that no longer rolled right after you used it as a makeshift stool?

That’s how I see it right now. We’ve squ...

A Mother’s Day Manifesto

Ladies, How did we get here? To this place, this moment, 20 years into this 21st century and we, as women, still feel like our voices don’t matter. We feel like they don’t matter individually, and collectively. We have days like today that celebrate us, but like other holidays that celebrate our race, or our sex, our military service or our social status, they are hollow if we fail to step into all that is supposedly being honored. Can we honor a mother for all that she is, her intuition, her g...
