Being in the Body through Dance and Somatic Experiencing with Alia Thabit

In my most experiential episode yet, I enjoy an enlightening conversation with Alia Thabit, belly dancer and coach, about being in the body through both dance and Somatic Experiencing. Alia is gracious enough to dance with me so that I can experience her magic, and share it with you. While the YouTube video shows our dancing, the audio episode is edited to exclude the portion where we are simply dancing to some music.

Alia Thabit, is an Arab-American dancer, writer, artist, and guide. Her teachi...

You Might Be A StarSeed Old Soul Sojourn with Christina Cowherd

Like other Starseeds, Christina Cowherd looks at life differently. As a survivor of a violently abusive childhood, she called on her healing abilities early in life to find inner-peace and the strength to follow her calling as a guide for others. That calling set her on an unexpected path of building business expertise in a variety of industries while engaging in deep study of the transformative capacity of the light body and for transmuting trauma into wholeness.

Old Soul Sojourn with Dr. Sunil Raheja

What does it mean to Dance with Wisdom? With Wisdom being a favorite topic of Old Soul Archaeology, I am delighted to have Dr. Sunil Raheja as my Sojourning guest. As an Indian immigrant to the UK as a toddler, he often felt out of place, not feeling that he had a home either in India or in the UK. He realized that while his story was very personal and subjective, this story was also universal. His book Dancing With Wisdom talks about his spiritual journey of coming to know Jesus Christ, and exp...

Shamanism and Our Occult Self

After submitting this as an article to the Society for Shamanic Practitioners, hoping to be published on their platform, I was informed that it did not fit their requirements. In an editorial comment, it was noted that I didn’t have “a strong sense of audience–it’s like she’s having an internal (occult?) conversation.” In my disappointment, I had to laugh because the comment is entirely correct. And what better way to explore the hidden than with what is hidden within me? I welcome your thoughts...

The Mage and the Mystic and the Sage

Two Paths to Transformation

I’ve recently been reading a lot about and practicing Ho’oponopono, a Hawaiian practice of alignment with the Divine. The practice consist of a repeated mantra of sorts through the repetition of four phrases – “I love you, Forgive Me, I’m Sorry, and Thank You, in no particular order. The concept behind the phrases is to accept responsibility (not blame) for everything in our lives, while also giving the power back to God, Source, the Divine by whatever name you prefer...

Ep. 37 Thoughts on Self-Love * Point of Departure

It seems I have a lot of thoughts on self-love lately, as a blog post from just a few days ago carries the same title.

Having recently read “Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It” by Kamal Ravikant, I’ve been hit over the head (in a good way) with the importance of self-love. Throwing off the chains of labels like selfishness, I am embracing self-love as an act of healing for myself AND others at the same time. The transition in my life has already been profound.

The Facebook group I refer ...
