Cómo Darle a Dios tu Atención

“Mis ojos están puestos siempre en el Señor, pues solo él puede sacarme de la trampa”. Salmo 25:15 (NVI)

Cuando estabas en la escuela secundaria, ¿había alguien en quien pensabas todo el tiempo que no te tenía en cuenta? Es difícil imaginar que alguien que ocupó tanto de tus pensamientos no pueda tener espacio para ti en su propia mente. Pero nos ha pasado a la mayoría de nosotros en algún momento, y puede ser una experiencia dolorosa.

Imagina cómo se debe sentir Dios cuando no puede llamar tu atención. La Biblia dice que Él está constantemente pensando en ti. Debe dolerle cuando no le das espacio en tus pensamientos a lo largo del día.

¡Dios quiere tu atención! Pero ¿cómo se la das? Una forma es esta: cuando oras por algo una y otra vez, le prestas tu atención.

Una de las razones por las que Dios tenía un afecto particular por el rey David es porque David le dio a Dios su atención todo el tiempo. David dijo: “Mis ojos están puestos siempre en el Señor, pues solo él puede sacarme de la trampa” Salmo 25:15 (NVI). Eso significa que David fue persistente en la oración.

Al igual que el rey David, te enfrentas a trampas inesperadas todos los días. Dios es el único que las conoce de antemano y la oración persistente es la mejor manera de alejarse de ellas.

Cuando vas por una carretera montañosa, siempre es útil poder anticipar lo que está por venir. Pero si estás atrapado detrás de un camión lento y no puedes ver alrededor de la curva, el viaje es frustrante. En ese momento, ¿qué tan útil sería un helicóptero para darte el “todo despejado” para poder pasar?

Dios es como ese helicóptero. Él puede ver lo que tú no puedes ver. Él puede ver las trampas que tendrás esta semana, este mes y este año. Si le prestas tu atención y concentración, irá delante de ti y te mostrará cómo evitar todas las trampas.

La Biblia dice: “Busquen al Señor y a su fuerza; búsquenlo continuamente” Salmo 105:4 (NTV). ¿Con qué frecuencia debes buscar a Dios? Continuamente. La oración no es algo para ser tachado de una lista. Es una conversación en curso.

Sé persistente en tu oración. Sigue buscando a Dios para obtener su dirección y ayuda. ¡No dejes de hablar con Él! Dios ama tu atención y está listo y esperando para responder a tus oraciones.

Tendemos a ser más persistentes en nuestras oraciones cuando estamos en un dolor profundo. ¿Por qué crees que esto es así?¿Cómo es posible buscar a Dios continuamente? ¿Cuál es una forma práctica de hacer esto?¿Por qué estás ansioso? ¿Cómo te ayuda el acto de la oración a darte paz sobre esa situación?Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? Grace Is Free Because Jesus Paid the Cost

“Many people received God’s gift of life by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ.”

Romans 5:15 (NCV)

If you looked in your mail today and found a free gift waiting for you, it wouldn’t really be free. Someone paid for it at some point.

The same is true of God’s grace. It’s totally and completely free to you—but Jesus paid for it.

It cost Jesus his life.

That’s why salvation comes through Christ and Christ alone—because he’s the one who paid for the grace we receive. The Bible says, “We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved” (Acts 15:11 NIV).

Nobody else but Jesus volunteered to pay for your sins. And nobody else but Jesus paid the price for all the blessings God brings your way.

Romans 5:15 says, “Many people received God’s gift of life by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ” (NCV).

When you receive the grace of God through Christ alone, you are “in Christ.” That phrase is used more than 120 times in the Bible. And being in Christ changes how God looks at you.

You may think that when God looks at you, he sees all your sins, failures, and rough spots. But when you’re “in Christ,” God just sees Jesus. You may see all of your scars, messes, and problems—but God sees perfection in Christ.

That’s grace, and it can only be found in Christ.

God’s love for you isn’t based on what you do. It’s based on who you are in Christ. In fact, there’s nothing you could ever do to make God love you any more—or any less. 

When you come to God through Jesus Christ, he won’t reject you. The Bible promises, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13 NIV).

God is ready and willing to give you his grace and secure a future for you in heaven.

You just need to accept his grace!

Talk It Over

God’s love is unchanging despite our sin. Why, then, do you think so many people feel unloved by God?
Who in your life needs to hear about God’s unchanging love? What will you do about it?
How should you treat grace when you consider that it cost Jesus his life?

Have you received God’s grace through Jesus Christ?

No matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, you’ve got a place in God’s forever family ready and waiting for you. The invitation is wide open. Just believe and receive.

Trust in God’s character and the grace he extends. Confess your sins and ask God to forgive you. Claim the promise of Jesus, that salvation is free and open to anyone who turns from their sins and agrees to follow him as their Lord and Savior. Humbly ask God to accept you into his forever family.

Are you ready? Here’s a prayer you can start with: “Dear God, I know when I die, I’m going to give an account of my life to you. I know I have sinned against you, and I have lived by my plan, not yours. I want that to change, starting right now. I want to turn away from my sins and toward you.

“Thank you for sending Jesus to die for all that I’ve done wrong so that I don’t have to pay the penalty. I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. I know only your grace can save me, Lord. I could never be good enough to get into a perfect place.

“Jesus, thank you for loving me so much that you took all my guilt on yourself. You made me acceptable for heaven, and I humbly ask you to save me. I believe in you, Jesus. And I believe you will keep your promise to save me instantly, certainly, completely, and eternally. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

La Oración Genuina Conduce a una Vida Superior

“Que toda la gloria sea para Dios, quien puede lograr mucho más de lo que pudiéramos pedir o incluso imaginar mediante su gran poder, que actúa en nosotros”. Efesios 3:20 (NTV)

Dios quiere que vivas tu vida al máximo. Él no quiere que vivas una vida promedio, sin sueños ni metas. Como leímos ayer, Dios quiere que tengas una gran ambición y una fe creciente.

Él también quiere que tengas una vida de oración genuina.

Jabés tenía una vida de oración genuina. Y era el verdadero secreto para lograr sus sueños. Él oró: «¡Ay, si tú me bendijeras y extendieras mi territorio! ¡Te ruego que estés conmigo en todo lo que haga, y líbrame de toda dificultad que me cause dolor!» 1 Crónicas 4:10 (NTV). Y luego el versículo continúa: “Dios le concedió lo que pidió”.

¿Sabías que no puedes pedir o soñar más que Dios? La Biblia dice: “Que toda la gloria sea para Dios, quien puede lograr mucho más de lo que pudiéramos pedir o incluso imaginar mediante su gran poder, que actúa en nosotros” Efesios 3:20 (NTV). Continúa y extiende tu imaginación a lo más grandioso que pueda suceder, y luego comprende que Dios puede ir más allá de eso.

Jabés sabía esto acerca de Dios, así que oró tres cosas:

Jabés oró por el poder de Dios en su vida. Él oró: “Ay, si tú me bendijeras”. Podrías decir: “No debería pedirle a Dios que me bendiga. Eso es egoísta. Pero según Dios, pedir bendiciones está absolutamente bien. No es un gran policía en el cielo esperando que hagas un movimiento en falso para poder abalanzarse sobre ti. Él quiere bendecir tu vida.

Jabés oró por la presencia de Dios en su vida. Él oró: “Te ruego que estés conmigo en todo lo que haga”. Pidió la presencia de Dios. Jabés sabía que, si obtenía más tierra y un territorio más grande, tendría mayores demandas y más responsabilidades. Sabía que necesitaría la ayuda de Dios con todo.

Jabés oró por la protección de Dios sobre su vida. Él oró: “Líbrame de toda dificultad que me cause dolor”. ¿Por qué Jabés pide la protección de Dios? Porque él sabía esto: Cuanto más éxito tienes, más críticas tienes. Lo mismo es cierto en la vida cristiana: cuanto más te acerques al Señor, más fuerte te volverás como cristiano y más te molestará el diablo.

¿Qué quieres que Dios haga en tu vida? ¿Qué te ayude con un problema? Pregúntale. ¿Qué te ayude con algunas metas? Pregúntale.

Primero, pon el motivo detrás de tus metas y sueños en alineación con Dios. A continuación, ora las tres cosas que oró Jabés: por el poder de Dios, por la presencia de Dios y por la protección de Dios. ¡Y luego observa cómo Dios contesta tus oraciones!

God’s Grace Gives You a Reason to Celebrate

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

You can’t earn God’s grace. You can’t work for it. You don’t deserve it. 

The Bible teaches, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV).

You can only receive grace by faith.

The Bible is full of stories illustrating God’s grace. Maybe the most familiar one is about the prodigal son in Luke 15. As you might remember, the father in this story has two sons.

One day the younger son said, “Dad, I’m leaving. I want my half of the family inheritance right now so I can get out of here.” So his father gave him half of the family inheritance, and the son moved to a foreign country. He then wasted his life on wild living. And, after a while, he realized he had wastefully spent everything he had.

Forced to get a job, he ended up in a pig trough feeding pigs, and he was so hungry, he thought about eating the pigs’ food. Flat on his back, he thought, “What am I doing here? I know I blew it. It’s all my fault, but the people who work for my dad as servants live better than this.”

So he decided to head home and tell his father, “I know I messed up. I admit it. I wasted all of my inheritance. I don’t deserve to be called your son. But just hire me as a servant, and I’ll work for you the rest of my life, because even your servants live better than I’ve been living.”

Yet the Bible says the father was both loving and gracious toward his son. When he saw the son in the distance coming home, he ran to meet him with a giant hug. Then the father threw a party for his wayward son. 

When you accept God’s grace, that’s how God responds to you. Your past is forgiven, you have a purpose for living, and you have an eternal home in heaven.

That’s good news. And that’s a reason to celebrate!

Cómo Vivir una Vida Significativa

“Había un hombre llamado Jabés, quien fue más honorable que cualquiera de sus hermanos… Él fue quien oró al Dios de Israel diciendo: «¡Ay, si tú me bendijeras y extendieras mi territorio! ¡Te ruego que estés conmigo en todo lo que haga, y líbrame de toda dificultad que me cause dolor!»; y Dios le concedió lo que pidió”. 1 Crónicas 4:9-10 (NTV)

Todo ser humano está diseñado para la excelencia. Puedes sentirte ordinario, pero Dios te hizo para vivir una vida significativa.

La Biblia está llena de personas ordinarias que vivieron vidas extraordinarias porque creían que Dios obraría en ellos y a través de ellos. Creían que Dios los hizo con un propósito y tenía la intención de que cumplieran con éxito su misión.

Un ejemplo de esto es un hombre llamado Jabés. Dios le dio una mención de honor en 1 Crónicas, un libro de la Biblia que incluye nueve capítulos de genealogías. Justo en medio de esa larga lista de nombres, Dios destaca en dos versículos a Jabés, un tipo común y corriente.

La Biblia dice: “Había un hombre llamado Jabés, quien fue más honorable que cualquiera de sus hermanos… Él fue quien oró al Dios de Israel diciendo: «¡Ay, si tú me bendijeras y extendieras mi territorio! ¡Te ruego que estés conmigo en todo lo que haga, y líbrame de toda dificultad que me cause dolor!»; y Dios le concedió lo que pidió”. 1 Crónicas 4:9-10 (NVI).

Esos dos versículos dan toda la información que tenemos sobre Jabés, pero revelan que vivió una vida que era cualquier cosa menos normal.

Jabés se destaca en su éxito por tres secretos. Veremos los dos primeros hoy.

Tenía una gran ambición. Mientras que muchas personas están contentas con ser promedio, Jabés quería que Dios hiciera algo significativo a través de él. No quería vivir a medias; quería una vida plena y significativa.

Jabés era ambicioso, pero, igual de importante, estaba motivado por las cosas correctas. ¿Cómo sabemos que los motivos de Jabés eran genuinos y no egoístas? Porque leemos: “Dios le concedió lo que pidió”. Dios nunca honrará una petición indigna.

Mucha gente simplemente va a la deriva por la vida. No tienen metas, ni un plan maestro, ni un propósito general. Como resultado, nunca van a ninguna parte. Si quieres vivir por encima del promedio, ¡sueña en grande! No estás destinado a pasar por la vida preguntándote: “¿Qué estoy haciendo? ¿A dónde voy?” Dios quiere que tengas una gran ambición, alimentada por el deseo de servirle.

Tenía una fe creciente. Jabés tenía una profunda confianza y creencia en Dios. No se menciona que tenga alguna habilidad o talento especial. La Biblia no dice que fuera rico o educado. Era simplemente un hombre común con una fe poco común.

Si hay algo en la vida que es más importante que la habilidad y el talento, es la fe. Conozco a muchas personas súper talentosas que están sentadas al margen mientras las personas que tienen fe están haciendo cosas grandes. Fe es creer que Dios obrará a través de ti.

¿Cómo salir de la mediocridad? Al igual que Jabés, obtienes una gran ambición y una fe creciente, y dependes de Dios para hacer lo imposible. El misionero William Carey dijo una vez: “Intenta grandes cosas para Dios y luego espera grandes cosas de Dios”.

Mañana veremos el tercer secreto que hizo que Jabés realmente se destacara: su genuina vida de oración.

You Can’t Get to Heaven on Your Own

“If it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.”

Romans 11:6 (ESV)

Most people think they know how to get to heaven. Ask a few random people, and you’ll likely hear answers like, “Just work really hard,” “Do more good than bad,” or, “Be nice to people.”

That may be what most people think, but it’s not right.

Here’s the truth: You don’t have a chance of getting into heaven by your own effort. You’ve never been perfect—and that means you’ll never be good enough to get into a perfect place.

The world says you have to work hard for heaven—but the Bible says you get into heaven through the exact opposite approach: “If it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace” (Romans 11:6 ESV).

This is the fundamental difference between Christianity and every other religion on Earth. You can summarize every other religion with the word “do.” Each religion has a different list of what to do, and you must obey that list to get to heaven. You have to earn your way to God.

The Bible gives an opposite plan. The Bible says you get into heaven by accepting what has already been done for you—that Jesus died on the cross 2,000 years ago for you.

Everything that needs to be done for you to get to heaven has already been done. Jesus did everything. It’s a free gift.

Your part in salvation is to confess your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, acknowledging what he’s done for you. You receive God’s grace. It is God’s gift to you!

You may be given a Rolls Royce someday. You may be given a million dollars. But there’s no greater gift than God’s grace.

If you’re ready to accept the gift of God’s grace, then pray this prayer:

“Dear Jesus, you have promised that if I believe in you, everything I’ve ever done wrong will be forgiven and you will accept me into your eternal home in heaven one day.

“I confess that I have sinned against you, and I believe you are my Savior. Please forgive me! I trust you when you say salvation comes by grace, through faith, and not by anything I do. I want you to be Lord of my life, and I surrender my control and my will to you. Today I’m turning over every part of my life to you. I will do what you tell me to do and go where you tell me to go.

“I want to use the rest of my life to serve you instead of serving myself. I commit to walking with you, learning more about you, and trusting in your promises until I see you in heaven one day. I pray this in your name. Amen.”

Tres Resultados de una Oración para Abrir camino y Avanzar en tu vida

“Cuando todos los reinos vecinos oyeron que el Señor mismo había luchado contra los enemigos de Israel, el temor de Dios se apoderó de ellos. Así que el reino de Josafat tuvo paz, porque su Dios le había dado descanso por todo el territorio”. 2 Crónicas 20:29-30 (NTV)

Cuando le pidas a Dios un avance en tu vida, espera que convierta las batallas en bendiciones.

El rey Josafat y su ejército permitieron que Dios peleara la batalla por ellos. Cuando fueron al campo de batalla, esto es lo que encontraron: “Ni un solo enemigo había escapado con vida. . . ¡Había tanto botín que les llevó tres días solo para juntarlo! Al cuarto día se reunieron en el valle de la Bendición, el cual recibió ese nombre aquel día porque allí el pueblo alabó y agradeció al Señor” 2 Crónicas 20:24-26 (NTV).

Dios quiere que vivas tu vida en tu propio “valle de bendición”, donde hay tanta abundancia que te lleva tres días llevarte el botín de guerra. Solo puedes vivir en el valle de bendición cuando haces una oración para que Dios abra camino y poder avanzar en tu vida, la oración que solo haces cuando todo va mal y no puedes hacer nada más al respecto.

La historia de Josafat nos muestra los tres resultados de una oración para abrir camino y avanzar en la vida. El primer resultado es que obtienes más bendiciones de las que puedes manejar. Si te preguntas cómo vas a saber cuándo se ha abierto camino y ha ocurrido un gran avance en tu vida, no te preocupes. ¡Lo sabrás! Será tan asombroso que solo podrás decir: “Dios hizo eso”.

El segundo resultado de una oración para abrir camino y avanzar en la vida es que tu amor por Dios crece. Cuando Dios haga esta obra maravillosa en tu vida, querrás adorarlo más.

El tercer resultado de una oración para abrir camino y avanzar en la vida es que los incrédulos comienzan a darse cuenta de lo que Dios ha hecho contigo: “Luego todos los hombres volvieron a Jerusalén, con Josafat a la cabeza, rebosando de alegría porque el Señor les había dado la victoria sobre sus enemigos. Entraron a Jerusalén al son de arpas, liras y trompetas, y se dirigieron al templo del Señor” 2 Crónicas 20:27-28 (NTV). Cuando Dios te abre camino para que avances en victoria, ¡querrás organizar una fiesta que no se pueda ignorar! Es un testimonio para las personas que aún no conocen a Dios. Eres bendecido y Dios es honrado.

God’s Grace Is for Everybody

“The promise is not only for those people that live under the law of Moses. It is for anyone who lives with faith like Abraham.”

Romans 4:16 (ICB)

No matter who you are and no matter what you’ve done, God loves you and wants you to come home to him. He wants to shower his grace on you. He wants to throw a party for you when you return. 

The Bible says in Romans 4:16, “The promise is not only for those people that live under the law of Moses. It is for anyone who lives with faith like Abraham” (ICB).

The apostle Paul is saying that, in the Old Testament, the Jewish people (the nation of Israel) lived under the Law of Moses. But Abraham, who became known as the father of faith, came into God’s grace by faith—continuing to hope against all hopelessness—and that same grace is available to anyone today when they place their faith in Jesus Christ.

That was amazing news then, and it is amazing news now! All of us can come to God through faith in his Son, Jesus Christ.

Does “everybody” include short and tall people? Yes. Does it mean rich people and poor people? Yes. Does it include politicians and blue-collar workers? Yes. Does it include people from every ethnic background? Yes. Does it mean people from every country in the world? Yes. Does it mean people who go to church every Sunday? Yes. Does it mean people who have never even seen a Bible? Yes.

God’s grace is available to you no matter what—despite your secret sins, your faults, and your weaknesses. When you accept Jesus into your life, God’s grace is at work when you’re walking closely with him, but also when you feel far from him.

When the Bible says that God’s grace is available to all, it gives no preconditions. The heart of Christianity—the heart of God’s grace—is this: When God sent his Son to die on a cross, he did it for everyone.

Think about this truth: As you go about your day today, you’ll never set eyes on someone who Jesus didn’t die for. And that includes the person you see in the mirror every day!

The Bible says you can only get to heaven by trusting in God through his Son, Jesus Christ. You cannot earn your way into heaven: “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV).


If you’re ready to commit your life to Jesus, start with this prayer:

“Dear God, you have promised that if I believe in your Son, Jesus Christ, everything I’ve ever done wrong will be forgiven, I will learn the purpose of my life, and you will accept me into your eternal home in heaven one day.

"I confess I have sinned, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died to take away my sins and that you raised him to life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow him as Lord from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."

Agradece a Dios de Antemano por Abrir Camino y Tener un Avance en tu vida

“Después de consultar con el pueblo, el rey nombró cantores que caminaran delante del ejército cantando al Señor y alabándolo por su santo esplendor. Esto es lo que cantaban: ¡Den gracias al Señor; su fiel amor perdura para siempre!”. 2 Crónicas 20:21 (NTV)

 La historia del rey Josafat ilustra perfectamente el poder de agradecer a Dios por adelantado, antes de recibir la respuesta a tu oración para abrir camino y avanzar en tu vida.

Cuando se enfrentó a un ataque de tres ejércitos enemigos, Josafat tuvo una estrategia de batalla inusual: “Después de consultar con el pueblo, el rey nombró cantores que caminaran delante del ejército cantando al Señor y alabándolo por su santo esplendor. Esto es lo que cantaban: «¡Den gracias al Señor; su fiel amor perdura para siempre!” 2 Crónicas 20:21 (NTV).

¿Estarías de acuerdo en que esta es una forma inusual de organizar un ejército? Imagínate lo que pensaron los ejércitos enemigos cuando vieron al ejército israelí dirigido por un grupo de arpistas y trompetistas.

Estoy seguro de que el coro también se preguntó qué estaba pasando. Pero Josafat les había recordado que la batalla le pertenecía a Dios, y si creían en Él, tendrían éxito. Es por eso por lo que pudieron agradecer a Dios de antemano por su próxima victoria y luego demostrarle que creían en Él al anteponer el coro frente al ejército.

La oración y la alabanza son fe verbalizada. Cuando dices: “Dios, gracias porque te estás ocupando de mi bancarrota. Gracias porque te estás ocupando de mi dolor. Gracias porque estás resolviendo este conflicto”, eso es agradecerle de antemano.

No se necesita mucha fe para agradecer a Dios después de que ha hecho algo por ti. La forma en que le demuestras a Dios que tienes fe en que abrirá camino para avanzar en tu vida, es agradeciéndole de antemano.

Aquí está el poder de agradecer a Dios antes de verlo abrir camino para poder avanzar en victoria: “Cuando comenzaron a cantar y a dar alabanzas, el Señor hizo que los ejércitos de Amón, de Moab y del monte Seir comenzaran a luchar entre sí” 2 Crónicas 20:22 (NTV).

El ejército de Josafat no movió un dedo (excepto para tocar sus instrumentos). ¿Cómo ganaron la batalla? Agradecieron a Dios de antemano. Ellos creían que Él cuidaría de ellos y los salvaría de sus enemigos. Mostraron esa fe en su formación de batalla. Y luego vieron como Dios abrió camino y pudieron avanzar en victoria.

¿Cuándo vas a empezar a agradecer a Dios para que abra camino y puedas avanzar en tu vida? Tal vez has querido algo toda tu vida, pero solo has estado rogando. Tal vez hayas tratado de negociar, sobornar o presionar a Dios para que diga “sí”.

Dios quiere decir “sí” a tu oración de avance. Él solo está esperando que muestres fe.

Reflexiona sobre esto:

¿Cuál es el avance que has estado esperando que Dios haga en tu vida? ¿Cuánto has estado esperando?¿Cómo puedes verbalizar tu fe, confiando en que Dios te proveerá, incluso si aún no has visto tu avance?Si Dios conoce todos tus pensamientos, ¿por qué crees que quiere que verbalices tu fe?Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? The Best Investment You’ll Ever Make

“Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and should give happily to those in need, always being ready to share with others whatever God has given them. By doing this they will be storing up real treasure for themselves in heaven—it is the only safe investment for eternity! And they will be living a fruitful Christian life down here as well.”

1 Timothy 6:18-19 (TLB)

Generosity is an investment. Luke 16:9 says, “Use your worldly resources to benefit others” (NLT). I’ve said many times that you can’t take it with you. Did you know that mortuaries sell burial suits? They’re for people who want to be buried in a suit but don’t have one. Do you know what the difference is in a burial suit and a regular suit? There are no pockets in a burial suit. It’s true! You don’t need them, because you can’t take it with you. But you can send it on ahead.

How do you do that? By investing in people who are going there. 

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:18-19, “Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and should give happily to those in need, always being ready to share with others whatever God has given them. By doing this they will be storing up real treasure for themselves in heaven—it is the only safe investment for eternity! And they will be living a fruitful Christian life down here as well” (TLB).

Every time you are generous with the poor, a friend, or a neighbor, God says you’re storing up treasure in the bank of heaven. Your time on Earth is only about 80 or at the most 100 years. You’ll spend trillions of years in eternity. Where do you need to have the biggest account? 

There’s no greater investment than the Kingdom of God. When you help other people with your time, your money, your resources—whatever you’ve got—you are actually making an investment in heaven.

Your investment is protected in heaven. It pays good rates. It’s proven. There are great dividends and no risks.

You’re not going to get that kind of investment anywhere else!
