~ EXCERPT ~It’d been two days. Two days of unanswered calls, unanswered texts. Two days of driving by her house day and night, only to find it empty. I spoke with her boss at Spencer’s, and he too said she had taken some time off. 
With each day my heart sank a little more with the thought that I had thrown away the best thing that had ever happened to me. This was on me, completely. I acted like the biggest dick when I should have just talked to her. 
“Hey, numb nuts, you still pouting?” Kade shouted as he exited the French doors onto the back patio. 
“I need to change my locks,” I grumbled. Resting my head back against the chair, I closed my eyes, attempting to block him out. 
“Don’t blame me for your massive amount of shit. I’m just here for the pool—oh, and the free beer.” He chuckled as he pulled his shirt up and over his head, then took off and jumped, cannonballing into the pool. 
“Whew,” he yelled out just before hitting the water. The cool splash flowed backward, drenching the entire patio. All I could do was shake my head at the ass. He was doing everything possible to pull me from my slump. I picked up my phone and checked once again for any response only to come up empty. 
“Give the girl some time. I know it’s driving you crazy, not being able to fix this, but you need to try to give her some space.” 
Kade climbed out of the pool, shaking his hair, once again spraying water in every direction. Cocky son of a bitch chuckled as I jumped from my chair and stepped back.

~My Review~5 starsI loved Ms. Harms Southern Boys series.  I was a bit nervous for a spin-off, because frankly how could she top Reed, Gavin and Colt.  Well, she wrote Jett, that's how.  My, oh my I do love a possessive alpha hero who manages not to be a jerk.  Jett respects Quinn, but doesn't back off from his feelings for her either.  This book was a bit more reminiscent of Forgiving Reed, with some major emotions rolling through this book.  I love that she manages to insert the right amount of drama, without overloading a book with unnecessary turmoil.  
There is a minor cliff hanger at the end of this book, but about Jett's sister Harper.  Jett and Quinn's book is resolved with a great ending, and she left me hanging just enough to be desperate for the sequel.  This is going to be another amazing series!

My Review5 StarsI'm trying to figure out how to put into words the effect this book had on me. Usually I need a chapter or two to really dive into a book, but CA Harms had me at the Dedication.

There is so much heart, love, redemption and healing in this book that it was perfect for the beginning of a new year. I loved the character of Maria from Forgiving Reed, but I wanted to punch Gavin. Maria is a strong woman who eventually realizes it isn't week to lean on others occasionally. Her past relationship, or lack there of with her father has left her untrusting and guarded. Gavin has to overcome a toxic marriage, and learn not to compare Maria to the actions of his ex wife. By the end of the book I wasn't sure who I loved more, Reed from Forgiving Reed or Gavin. Gavin definately won me over with his tenacity to heal and hold on to his happiness.
This book inspired laughter, tears, and some swoony moments for me. This one is definately one I will be recommending, and will be re-reading. I can't wait for Loving Colt to come out.

My Review5 StarsThis book made me feel. A lot of books entertain me. Some make me laugh. Many make me swoon, but few make me feel what the character is going through. This book ripped out my heart, and put me back together stronger. I joined Kori in her despair, and climbed out of the blackness with her.

Reed broke Kori's trust in a deep and usually irreparable way. He knows it, but the love he feels for Kori makes him be anything she needs him to be. C.A. Harms does a magnificent job of portraying real healthy love. Reed isn't an alpha jerk that beats his chest and persuades the heroine to overlook his faults. Kori isn't a weak willed woman that is willing to accept a flawed man hoping to fix him.

Reed has grown up in the time he and Kori were apart. His mistakes have changed him. They've forced him to look inside and become a better man. Kori's experiences, though heart breaking have healed her and taught her how to love. When they reconnect they take their time to get to a place where they are stronger.

This was one of the most beautiful love stories I've ever read. I highly recommend it, and am looking forward to more from Ms. Harms.
