My Sexy Saturday ~ Week 18
Welcome to the 18th week of My Sexy Saturday! Here you will find 7 words or 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs of something sexy. For more sexy somethings from other great authors, go to My Sexy Saturday. They come in all levels of sexiness, so beware!
For my snippet today, I’ve decided to go with 7 sentences from my debut novel, My Mr. Manny. It released August 27th, 2013. Put it on your “To Be Read” list on Goodreads and purchase it here.
Then, he trailed those emotion-filled kisses from my mouth down my chin to my neck, nipping and licking along the way.
His hands skimmed around my stomach, where he found the hem of my shirt and slid it up my body and over my head. Then he undid my jeans and wiggled them down over my hips, bending down to help me and throwing them on the chair with his own clothes.
Dominic walked me back to the bed and, with his hands under my ass, he lifted me on top of the comforter. His kisses stopped so he could remove my bra and panties, and he savored every surface of my body with his eyes. My tongue swiped my bottom lip, and I dragged it into my mouth, embedding my teeth into it. My chest rose and fell exaggeratedly while my breathing became shallow just from watching him devour me with his gaze.

My Mr.Manny’s Summary:
Mia Balducci misses her childhood days and yearns for the big, Italian family that she left behind in small town Massachusetts. At the tender age of sixteen, Mia moves with her bachelor father to Los Angeles, but no matter how many years pass, it never becomes home to her. The years spent living with her father aren’t easy, especially since she can’t stop thinking about what she once had. Her enrollment in the University of Southern California promises to bring exciting changes to her life, but Mia winds up with big problems instead. When she runs into an old friend from her old hometown of Winthrop, she gets swept up in nostalgia, and she soon loses herself in a quickly-progressing romance. When the fantasy falls apart, she is left to raise her precious little girl, Lucia, on her own. The demands of Mia’s work schedule and Lucia’s needs increase, and their lives become increasingly hectic. It is soon clear to Mia that she needs help. Luckily, her life-saving cousin saves the day and brings the mother and daughter a male nanny – their new “manny.”
After losing his high-pressure job on Wall Street, Dominic Roberts wants to follow his dreams to have a family. He’s already one fiancée down, and there are no likely prospects for another. In order to find the family he so desperately wants, he finds himself getting into the manny business. Since he is fully qualified to provide child care and is eager to leave New York City behind, his sister-in-law is able to land him a job in California working for his first client – the beautiful and intriguing Mia Balducci.
Will Lucia like the new man in her mother’s life? Will Mia? And will this new trio discover the happily ever after they all so desperately seek?

He slinked his way up, kissing every inch of my torso, my neck, my face, and finally my
mouth. Dominic’s lips covered mine in a hungry kiss. His whiskers made the kiss feel rough, but it was offset by the warmth of his mouth. With one hand, he held himself over me while the other still caressed and explored my body.
“Hmmm.” The sound vibrated from Dominic’s mouth, and I moaned when our tongues tasted one another. What a way to wake up!

Dominic and I sat close together, and he put his arm around me. From the crook of his arm, I looked up at his breathtaking face. I didn’t feel close enough to him; I wanted to climb onto him — into him. Just . . . closer. He looked down at me, and I knew it was the right moment.
“Baby, I, uh . . .” My heart began beating triple time. The words were on the tip of my tongue but wouldn’t come out.

The Query Letter
Reblogged from readful things blog:
The Query letter. No, really--it is not an evil device of torture sent from the writing Gods just to make you suffer. Okay, well it might be, but the ability to write a good query letter is also an integral part of any writer's repertoire.
It is difficult to write a captivating and effective query letter that will not only command the attention of an agent/editor, but also shed light on your fiction/non-fiction project and make them care enough about your protagonist/story/piece that they want to see the entire manuscript.

My debut, upcoming novel, My Mr. Manny
The first thing I saw were his eyes, which were a shade that transcended the most beautiful green things in the world: peacock feathers, limes, and lush leaves. They were small, slanted, and topped with thick dark eyebrows, which added a hint of mystery. His hair was dark black and slicked back. The bone structure of his face was strong, masculine, and angled. I couldn’t stop looking at him.
He cleared his throat and put out his hand. “I’m Dominic.”
