A Plane in series 4
Look above the box of Happy Families playing cards; on the shopping list for the set assistant to source is INFLIGHT MAGAZINES.
Same set assistant is out on recces for series 4 and posts this photo on the wing of a plane.
Next we get this lovely young lady cast as ‘girl on a plane’ in episode 3.
Now what does this next photo remind you of? Where do you see people lined up holding signs with names?
At the airport waiting for someone the person doesn’t know by sight and has been tasked to meet.
In the past the three word clues have been given verbally or filtered down via an interview with the writers. This time we didn’t get the SDCC panel saying the words, which they could have easily have done, we get a photograph and the words are names, which are not spoken but in writing. On signs with three people looking a bit bored. Waiting. Waiting for someone they haven’t met. it just adds to the ‘plane’ clues for me.
Oh and just a weird little fact to throw in here; for a while now their has been suggestions to rename Heathrow Airport as “Margaret Thatcher International’. It was a Boris Johnson idea that had momentum for a brief while.
Interesting. Definitely a plane in there somewhere.

Could the LiR be a Banshee?
I’m reading a small book called Haunted Ireland at the moment, which starts with the mention of the Irish Banshees. Banshees are female spirits in Irish mythology who herald death. They can be old or young women with white, blond or red hair.
The banshee is often described as wearing red or green, usually with long, disheveled hair. She can appear in a variety of forms. Perhaps most often she is seen as an ugly, frightful hag, but she can also appear as young and beautiful if she chooses. She can appear when a family member dies, even if this happens far away, but she can also give a warning of imminent death.
The LiR we saw in London (played by Sian Brooke) was young and blond but the woman seen in Miskin, thought to be also Sian Brooks, was described as old. She wore a long red dress in London.
Mark Gatiss has been to Ireland last year when he filmed for Who Do You Think You Are, uncovering his Irish ancestors. Could it be that he brought this idea with him? BBC Sherlock already has strong ties to Ireland due to Moriarty and Janine being portrayed as Irish.
And the LiR features in an episode that will most likely adapt The Dying Detective. Mark Gatiss loves ghost stories. Is the LiR a Banshee, seen only by Sherlock, heralding his death? Or does she appear to Sherlock to herald the death of a family member? His brother Mycroft? Wouldn’t it be fitting for Mark Gatiss to let the death of the character he plays be heralded by an Irish Banshee? I know that Mycroft apparently filmed for S4E3, but perhaps his death is announced as early as S4E2 - and there’s nothing to be done about?

She may well not be real. I can’t remember opinion there were ever scenes of her with other cast members. Was it confirmed she was in some scenes with Cukberton Smith?

So I only watched Sherlock for the first time 2 months ago (was laid off, great time for a hobby!)
I had heard about TLJC before, in terms of ‘the sherlock fans think they are entitled to their gay-fetishizing ship’ and ‘the sherlock fans are rabid about it and want their ship so badly that they stomp on anyone/thing that disagrees’
I’m 25, I’m not crazy with fandom and i don’t lose my head over actors and characters, i know not to pressure people or be over demanding, i respect peoples headcanons and think that if creators haven’t said anything outright then any interpretation is completely valid.
But honestly, these characters? This is beyond teasing, beyond hinting, beyond implying. This show ONLY HAS TEN EPISODES. Every single time one of them starts dating (or even looking at) a woman the show pulls your attention back to John and Sherlock.
S1E1 “You have a girlfriend?” “Not my area” “Okay. Oh. Wait. Boyfriend? Which is fine” “I know its fine, im single though” “Oh me too” “…im flattered by your interest John but not right now…” “I wasn’t flirting, I’m just letting you know its OK2BGay without explicitly mentioning my own sexuality”
S1E2 “Hey sherlock im going to go on a date with this nice woman i’ve barely spoken to” “Nope youre going on a date with us both” “I feel like you don’t totally understand the concept of a date” “Hanging out and eating food? we do that all the time”

IF THIS MUCH WAS SPREAD OVER 50 EPISODES, EVEN 20 EPISODES, I MIGHT SAY IT WAS IMPLICATIONS AND SUBTEXT OR SOMETHING
THIS IS BACK-TO-BACK ROMANTIC SITUATIONS
This doesnt even INCLUDE the CONSTANT mentions, pushes and jokes that they might be gay, the skinship, the compliments, the constant parade of gay background characters (more than most het-aimed shows dont you think? by percentage?). This is even before i found out one of the writers is gay, before I heard all the weird cagey things the actors sometimes say in interviews, just like… They couldn’t even manage to make John look happy with Mary for a minute without pushing sherlock and John together somehow, and the problem is NOT Martin’s acting.
Honestly it just seems… weird… to pack a show so completely full with implications with no intention to ever go anywhere with it. Could’ve added more mystery, used the air time for more platonic bonding, filled it with Soldier John or Scientist Sherlock to help flesh the characters, they could’ve been running around doing London Things or showing how much trouble Lestrade gets in for their mayhem, there is just OODLES of screen time devoted to implying romantic feelings towards eachother, and in TEN EPISODES they could have honestly /used/ more time with Moriarty, more time with cases, more time with side characters, and if all the johnlock implication was just jokes then… honestly… youve wasted a shit ton of screentime for a running joke. And when that joke was ‘lol Holmes and Watson would seem gay in 2010′ i wouldnt expect one of the main creators, who is gay, to go with it, right?

AAH! I was just thinking about this, and up it popped on my dash! These two somewhat irrelevant shots that are mysteriously included in this scene - CAM picking up the glasses, then sliding them onto his face….
We’re being shown specifically that CAM has noticed, and remembered, John’s reaction to Sherlock being shot…. Sherlock is John’s pressure point!! And CAM sees this! So WHY a few months later does CAM say this…
Because this is Sherlock’s worst fears, not an accurate depiction of the real life John. Sherlock fears that John loves Mary so much that he would do anything for her. But Mary is NOT John’s pressure point. Sherlock is. And the real CAM knows this! @isitandwonder (also go watch the scene, I can’t even describe how obvious it is that they’re showing us CAM observing with interest John’s panicked reaction to Sherlock’s condition)
