mazarin221b:

The siren call, smouldering gaze of one John H. Watson.

(Note, April 2016: I’ve had this post in my drafts, I kid you not, since I first joined Tumblr in 2011. Look at that face. Look at those eyes. Five years and I’m still not over how he looks at Sherlock - and I never will be. Not ever.)

Pretty damn flirty and interested. Scene 1. Pilot.

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE BACKGROUND OF THE MARK GATISS VIDEO???

timey-wimey-drew:

It looks like JAIL BARS. This isn’t a coincidence and it HAS to mean something!

Yeah, I saw something go by my dash about it. It does remind me of the bank robbers, the Waters gang. That sub-plot/case had a lot of air time in S3 and never went anywhere, so I fully expect it to come back, maybe in S4: E1. Seems like it ties into Mary somehow, like these might be old cronies of hers or I think I saw a meta about them being the other snipers.

I'm sure someone's already pointed it out, but...

haffieliesel:

Talking about Sherlock’s sexuality in the greenhouse…aka glasshouse in Victorian Sherlock with his ex army “close friend” Dr Watson.

In the British Army when homosexuality was banned, and a criminal offence, those convicted of buggery were normally sent to military prison barracks. They were known as…the “Glasshouse” (originally after the Aldershot one, which had a glass roof).

So discussing sexuality at a time when to be gay was a crime and gay in the army and acting on it doubly so, seems highly appropriate to be taking place in a glasshouse, because that’s where Watson would have ended up if he acted on his desires.

daleggs:

Some random pictures from the Sherlock set today. Not sure exactly what was going on. Most people had blankets (that could be to hide costumes) and people with military costumes ect. Then we had people like the guy on the right, who had facial wounds and looked like he had been roughed up a little bit. The crew was on super lock and key so we really didn´t get much info.

She says that Benedict and Amanda were filming together at Portland House while Martin wasn’t there, but there are no photos of them (obviously).

I’m pretty sure it’s just a speculation, but I’m posting it anyway.
