I apologize
So this year, I got myself sorted nice and early. When I had sent the new Graham off to my editor, I bought a few hampers of British food for my family there and then treated myself to a box of British food. It arrived yesterday with all my favorites.
I can now relax!
Okay, news today: a huge apolog...

Deals, Steals, and, er, Puzzles
As you read this, I am attending Dickens Camp held virtually at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I've been wanting to attend for several years now and while not far from my home, attending the lectures and seminars while still being able to sleep in my own bed is super convenient.
The featured book this year is A Christmas Carol which I had never read although I've seen the theatrical version many times and attended the local Dickens Fair every year pre-Covid where they perf...

Tragically, there were 250 and then there were none…
It feels like a long time since I last spoke to you. I am moving around the world a little – a haircut here, an outdoor brunch there. I even bumped into a friend in a store the other day. She didn't recognize me with my mask on, but I soon put her right.
Otherwise, things progress as normal. I am writing and enjoying having my sons home before they return to their college lives in a couple of months.
Today, I have news about other authors.
Death lies on her like an untimely frost…...June 3, 2021
What’s going on?
I had my first in-person social event in sixteen months last weekend. And it was like going on vacation. So lovely to see people again and hang out. There were even hugs. Remember those elbow rubs?
I thought I'd let you know what else I've been doing.
What I've been readingI read The Last Hours by Minette Walters a few years ago. A departure in genre for me, it is a historical mystery set in the 14th century during the time of the Black Death. I picked it up because I love Walter's w...

Do I still have an English accent?
I hope you are having a lovely day.
A friend of mine gave me 17 jigsaws yesterday! That made me so happy. I will have a lovely time working on them. I now have 35 in my to-do pile and look forward to doing every one. Then I'll pass them along. Love gifts like that.
Friends seems to be the theme for the week because I'll be getting together with two of my besties at the weekend. First time I've seen them since January 2020. We're having a picnic in the garden and I can't wait!
And one...

I forgot
Did you know…?
Back in the day when I started this writing malarkey, I purchased the domain names cozymysteries.com.
I set up home there, but after a few years thought it better to move to alisongolden.com.
But I kept that earlier domain name and started compiling content on cozy mysteries written by others in addition to my own.
It is a bright and sunny site. There are cozy mystery reviews written by members of my street team for you to peruse. I will keep building it out as those review...

This was predictable…
I hope you had a lovely week since we last spoke. It was Mother's Day here in the US and I had a delicious brunch followed by one of my famous naps.
Predictably…After last week's email about more Roxy adventures, Diana fans contacted me up in arms!
Yes, more adventures for Diana and Peter are planned. I have to finish Diana's story.

Missed, but not forgotten
A few months ago, I asked my readers which book I should write after finishing Fireworks in France. The resounding feedback was that it should be an Inspector Graham.
And so it was that on Monday, I got back in the saddle and kicked off the next story for Graham and his gang. I will be working on it part-time for the next few months.
There is much happening in my home and travel to see family and friends is in my future so it will be a while before it is finished, but it is exciting t...
