edits edits edits and new editions updates etc

So my lovely book 3 editor sent me back an edited version of book 1, which is great, except there are SO MANY THINGS TO FIX that I'm just gurgling and appalled. Do you know how many people I've hired to look at this thing before? MANY, which is why I am super dubious about, say, fiverr.com as a hiring resource. It's not that I didn't try, my friends, it's not that I didn't try to listen to you guys. But this time, oh, this time, it's working. Team synergy is totally a thing. It's gonna be beautiful.

Points:

1) holy wow, thank you everyone who read this anyway, and
2) our production value is going up! see! if this was a movie, we'd be upgrading camera equipment right about now.
3) my cover artist bounced the new Winter Wolf cover back at me last week, too, and it is EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL. I mean, also, not much has actually changed, but it's seriously even prettier to look at.

So anyway, greater continuity of art and voice for the series is coming up soon, so all the books really feel like they belong together. Once we're all polished up we're soaring off into the great unknown, which is to say, distribution beyond amazon. Thanks for coming along for the ride, everyone.

PS: I may also be writing outlines for some supplementary material with New York. Maybe. MAYBE. Okay, I totally am. I think New York definitely wins the Supporting Character award hands down, though, going by amount of mentions in the ECMTY reviews so far.

yeah, so, I’m a gigantic Aquaman stan because people can talk all the shit they want but HIS POWERS ARE TOTALLY AWESOME, so here’s the promo image of Jason Momoa as Aquaman, but with the saturation upped so you can see that there’s still some color to the costume. The bottom half looks like it’s going to be a super rad teal type color, so the shout outs to the classic look are there.

It's understandable and there are a lot of people who are here to support you in any time of need. Your mental and physical health come before anything else- nothing wrong from withdrawing from the world for bit. Is there anything I can do?

The practical answer here is probably something about telling people about my books/other upcoming projects so that I keep on paying my health insurance premiums, ‘cause shrinks are expensive.

But no, seriously, the fact that you took the time to send me a message about this means a lot. I mean, there’s no way to make that sound sincere over the internet in the space of a short message, I guess, but it’s true, and I always remember the people who reach out for me when I’m in a bad place, and remembering helps me get back up eventually.

I am in a better place now, or for now, but thank you so much for checking.

my life has gotten like a thousand times better once I decided that SLEEP would be my official favorite solo leisure activity.

substitute some other form of self care if you’re not a neurotic insomniac who enjoys naps.
