"depths of my soul": canvas in time lapse
i have been really loving the abstract artwork of Claire Desjardins and it has really got me wanting to try my hand at more abstract designs. i am so inspired by color and texture and i want to explore this a bit further in my art.
this is my first large scale attempt and the full shot doesnt do it justice it has a lot of depth, movement and texture to it. i love the design and it to me it represents a window to my soul...a desire...a passion.

as many of you know i am totally a tape-hoarder! love all tapes...so i layers a handfull of them across the blank pages to start and if you notice my making memories tiny alphas are back again!
used india ink to draw a circle and paint to highlight this weeks message, "make it count"

i really thought last weeks pages made me happy until this weeks pages evolved into this. it started as stencil leftovers that i pressed into the book and the color inspired me to pull out all those multi-colored rub-ons i have. layered them all over the background, included some paint chips and a tag and finished it with quinacridone nickel azo gold...HAPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!

"the Altered Brush Project" - new brushes to share...
More AWESOME brushes to share today!!!
we got a small burst of brushes sent in after the last brush update so i am hoping this encourages all those with brushes that still need altering to take the plunge! if we get more than 20 returned in the next 2 weeks i will promise to post a comprehensive bathroom photo update with all the brushes so far (please... :)
