inspiration wednesday + video

it is absolutely the coolest thing to see one of your designs in a stamp...add to that the fact that i can try new things each time i stamp her and i am in love. she is one of my favorites simply because i see myself in her.
sometimes i see her drowning (metaphorically), sometimes floating and sometimes her hair blowing up un the wind.

today i tried some fun stuff, made mistakes, corrected mistakes and had fun. enjoyed the process.

next month is my inspired. artist workshop at the studio and we currently have a couple spots left. this is the event that started them all!!

Inspired. Studio Workshops are a four-day immersion in mixed-media art and art journaling. This creative weekend is filled with the process driven exploration of creative mediums and applications in an intimate, supportive environment, challenging students to expand their creativity through the exploration of new artistic methods and mediums.

man did today take some twists and turns! i started with a plan to use up some more of my rub-ons and then got a call from melissa at the studio that my new stamps arrived. ran downn and grabbed them real quick and then the plan changed!! it was rough making it work but i love the end result!

14 years...

i went through my photos looking for a wedding photo to post for our 14th anniversary today and i cant believe how young we looked (especially bill, lol)

14 years is not that long, but i think if you make it this far it should be celebrated.

i look at these pictures and all i can think is that i am so grateful that we are not now the same people we were then in these pictures, lol!

i really love Julie Fei-Fan Balzer's new stencils. they are a fun and easy way to get a dramatic "look" journal pages. i am still on a mission to use up my "stash" of rub-ons and stickers so embedded under layers of paint are several of each. she makes me HAPPY!!!!
