I Have Trouble Believing It Isn’t Someone’s Birthday
I get so used to checking the Facebook birthday notifications every day, it messes with me when there aren’t any. Once you have a certain number of friends, it seems like there’s at least one a day. Every once and a while there isn’t any for a day, though not often, and I get skeptical. I actually have to go checking, because sometimes Facebook just messes up and doesn’t show the notification.
It just seems like an odd thing to get paranoid about.

Given my failure to have panicked for Thursday’s snow and since we actually got some, I have to recognize that I was amiss in not having posted this Wednesday night:

I Admit That There Was Snow
Everyone kept talking all week about how we were going to have snow on Thursday. I just kept saying: “Well, we’ll see what happens.” Around here, it can really depend on what you are for what you get. Regardless of forecast, a “snow” could be something, just a dusting, miss you entirely, or gone in a second. I have to admit now, we actually did end up getting a significant amount of snow on October 10. It wasn’t huge, or a big problem other than traffic accidents during, but it was there. Kind of surprised me. It’s so often just panic and nothing.
Still, it was just a little snow and what remains on the walks and roads will be gone soon.

I Wonder What The Story Was Behind That?
My wife and I were coming home in a Lyft the other night when we saw someone on a bicycle peddling to go the other way as if their life depended on it. It might have, because a brief moment later we saw a motorcycle cop (full helmet and gear, no motorcycle) chasing after them. A brief moment after that, a motorcycle cop on a motorcycle pursued the pair of them. Our Lyft driver said he’d just seen the person on the bicycle deliberately ride straight into the motorcycle of the first motorcycle cop, who then jumped off and gave chase.
I just wonder, what was the story behind that?
