This Is Me At The Gym:
This is me at the gym (hint: not the buff guy):
See why I don’t go? It’s better for everyone.
I remembered this for a comment on someone’s Facebook post and decided it was enough for an entire blog post. Don’t prove me wrong.

F-bomb Is Tomorrow!
F-bomb is tomorrow! It’s going to be an especially good one. Brian Dickson is hosting, featuring Hillary Leftwich. You won’t want to miss this, for a number of reasons. As usual, I’ll be signing up to read at the open mic portion.
Tuesday June 21, 7:30 at The Mercury Cafe, 2199 California St, Denver. Don’t be late. I have it on authority that the plan is to start on time.

Thoughts On Father’s Day
I was thinking about Father’s Day today. You know what a father is? A father is the one holding the other controller while you’re playing Super Mario Brothers, your friends are all over, who pauses and releases just as you jump over a chasm. That’s what a father is.
Remember that? Remember how the non-playing controller could pause and unpause the game just the same as the playing controller? Remember how pausing and unpausing during a jump would cause Mario/Luigi to immediately fall regardless whether they would have cleared the jump easily if not messed with? Remember that?
Sure, something like that was most often pulled by a friend of sibling. However, a father is the kind of person who brings that kind of immature joke to adulthood, despite position of responsibility and whatever else. The father does this, and then gets ticked if you get too ticked. That’s what a father is.
Mind you, my dad never pulled this. I saw a friend’s dad pull this gag and laugh, his son having to wait for a while to get another turn despite a joke having been played on him to rob him of his rightful turn. Not that mine wouldn’t have. He just never saw this opportunity and snatched it.
I think he would have.

You Need To Like Davewittybanter On Facebook
You need to like davewittybanter on Facebook. Seriously, you need to do this. No, this isn’t anything affiliated with me, despite their use of the fabulous and wonderful ‘Dave’ name. Just like it.
Apparently, it’s some kind of UK TV show. I have no idea about that, I just know about their animal fact sheets and similar items. You know you’ve seen these, and davewittybanter is the source. Check one out:
See? This is some of the best stuff on the Internet. Don’t wait for your friends to share davewittybanter‘s stuff. Go like it yourself and get it from the source.

Odd Thought For This Aleister Crowley Gif
This is an odd thought, but doesn’t it look like Aleister Crowley is playing peekaboo in this gif?
Seriously. I think of this every time I see this picture. I imagine just before the camera snapped he had his hands in front of his face. Then he moved them out as shown and yelled: “PEEKABOO!” Doesn’t it look like that? Doesn’t it?
Things like this are probably why I’ve never been invited to join any secret mystical orders.

Remember: I’m going to be the featured reader at The Art of Story Telling Reading Series this Friday at 7:30 pm at the Collection Gallery in the Aurora Arts District. It’s at 9801 E Colfax Ave Ste 120 Aurora, CO 80010, across the street from Aurora Fox Theater and the MLK Library). You should come on out!
It’ll be cool. I’ll be reading something from Not Quite so Stories, there will be other readers, an open mic portion, all that.
I’m making my wife go. If she has to attend, you should have to go as well. It’s only fair.
