I finally saw a small image of the encyclopedia cover, and although it was completely different to my adult eyes, of course, there was still the momentary hitch of surprise (and then laughter) at the sudden appearance of this thing unseen for probably well over forty years. It was a little like someone had given me a joking punch in the stomach that made me hunch over in surprise.
