So far, nothing has irritated me today. So far.
I've noticed that as I get to be older my sense of humor gets weirder and more obtuse. I can see the day coming when my own family members inch away from me whenever I sit down. Well, I mean without pretending they're doing it for some other reason — at the moment, they're still kind enough to do that for me.
I made a remark about being too hip for the room. My son looked at me...

Mom-in-law came in safe from UK today. Played music with buddies. Ate Mexican food. All good.
Children still haven't run away from home, though, despite me leaving a trail of cookies out to the nearest interstate onramp. Ah, well, can't win 'em all.
