In my desperate futile efforts to find out what happened to him, I started wishing I could connect with, somehow contact him. That was the genesis of "DDsE", a YA paranormal horror romance which I'm writing now.

My most recent finished/published book is "Nica of the New Yorks", book 2 in the FRAMES quartet. The notion of the Frames arose when I was walking circles at a high school track, and wondered what the hurdles might think about the people jumping them. I passed the gym and it erupted in cheers during a basketball game. I recalled the saying, "if these walls could talk" and I wondered what the gym walls would say.(less)

At one time I was almost a decent piano player and have been missing it.

Given my druthers - and any talent whatsoever - I would have been a musician. (less)

Low Tide Magic

It’s that time of year in southern California. Extra high tides (the so-called king tides) alternate with spectacularly low tides (anarchist tides?), revealing tide pools teeming with fabulous occupants. I’ve never seen starfish out in the world, before!
