Goodreads asked Sue Perry:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sue Perry My beloved cat Leo disappeared. In my desperate futile efforts to find out what happened to him, I started wishing I could connect with, somehow contact him. That was the genesis of "DDsE", a YA paranormal horror romance which I'm writing now.

My most recent finished/published book is "Nica of the New Yorks", book 2 in the FRAMES quartet. The notion of the Frames arose when I was walking circles at a high school track, and wondered what the hurdles might think about the people jumping them. I passed the gym and it erupted in cheers during a basketball game. I recalled the saying, "if these walls could talk" and I wondered what the gym walls would say.
