Phantom Hotel

Carol in Minneapolis called in to tell of a weird experience she had:

“Several years back, this experience took place in Tucumcari, New Mexico. My mother, my best friend and I were headed down to Arizona from Minnesota to go to my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary and we have happened to be going through Tucumcari, New Mexico. It was very late at night. We were tired and we decided to settle in. We found a hotel. Most of the hotels we saw were no vacancies. We happened to see this hotel. It was a little bit run down but it had a vacancy sign and we decided we were going to stop so we did. We did stop and we walked in. A woman dressed in a long black dress similar to Morticia on the 'The Addams Family' came up to the counter. She said that she had a room and so we paid for the room. It cost us 45 dollars for the room which we thought was strange but we were willing to pay the fee and go to sleep.

So we went to the room. Got inside. We realized the door was locked on the outside door, so we pushed. There was an older dresser. Everything in the room was very old. We pushed an older dresser up against the door to lock it out. Then we all showered and decided we'd go to sleep. There were two rooms. There was a front room and there was a little back bedroom. And then a bathroom off to the side. All of the rooms had those wrought iron beds in them. And when we sat down in the room in the back, there was an old black and white TV with rabbit ears on top. And we sat down on the bed and all of a sudden the bed started to jump when we were sitting on it. So we got off and we're trying to figure out what was going on. It actually came up off the ground. It wasn't very far but we could feel it. And then the rabbit ears started moving on top of the TV and we heard some snoring. It sounded like it was right there in the bedroom. And we kept thinking, well, there's no room next to us, so what's going on here?

My mother, being the silly woman that she is, thought that the woman was trying to push us out of the room and so she started digging around trying to find wires, under the bed and around everywhere but we couldn't find anything. This happened around 10 to 15 minutes, then all of a sudden this terrible smell like a dead animal just filled the room. So we got out of the room, into the other room and we sat at the bed there and we jumped on it and we did everything we could and nothing happened. We went back to the other room and there was no more jumping but yet the smell was pretty bad. So we finally decided we were not going to be able to sleep there that night and we left. Well, the strange part was we went on down to Arizona. We went to the 50th anniversary and then we came back the same direction. We decided we were going to check the hotel during the day so we drove over to the area where the hotel was and all there was was an empty lot. But there was a gas station next to where the hotel had been.

So we walk in and we were talking to the guy inside and we said, 'What happened to the hotel that was there? We know it was there just like two days ago?' He goes, 'Oh, no. There hasn't been a hotel there for 25 years.' And we said, 'No. No. No. There had to be a hotel there because we were gonna sleep in it but we couldn't because of these strange events that happened to us while we were in there.' And he goes, 'Oh, a lot of people say that but that hotel hasn't been there for 25 years. It burned down and a guy was burnt in one of the rooms so that's why it got, you know, bulldozed.' And I was like, 'Well, that doesn't make any sense because we were actually in it.'

And so, to this day, we know that we were actually in this hotel and we had these really strange kind of things going on. But the hotel was totally gone when we went by there three days later. The other thing I wanted to tell you was that. I'm a doctor of psychology. I'm a psychologist and I was teaching some college courses in psychology and I happened to teach in Monona, an Indian college there and I was relaying my experience in relation to extra sensory perception and different things we can't explain and when I got done with one my classes, one of the semesters, this young man walked up to me and he said, 'Doctor Carol,' he said, 'I just want to tell you that, and this may sound strange, but when you were relating your experience I was sitting thinking, Oh my god, that's exactly what our uncle had told us about an experience he had when he was down in Tucumcari, New Mexico, he stayed at a place that totally wasn't there. And we used to think he was a little bit on the quacky side so we didn't believe him. He said, 'Now I can believe that he might have actually had that experience.' He said, 'I have the utmost respect for you and I really believe you.' And to this day, I have people who think that we're a little daft when we try and tell them the story but I lived it. I know that it happened. To this day I realize that there are extra probably levels of time and for some reason we got warped into that night and according to that guy it was like around the anniversary of when that hotel burned down or whatever happened.

'Let me in! They're going to get me!'

Alan in California called in to tell of a weird experience he had:

“I want to share a paranormal experience I had about 9 years ago. I've had paranormal experiences all my life but this one in particular creeped me out. I was living with my parents at the time. I was about 16 or 17, somewhere around there. We were living in a duplex house.

One night my parents decided to go for a drive and it was just me, my sister, her then boyfriend and my nephew, Eric. He was really older. He was older than me. Don't ask. My parents were weird. Anyway, see, the thing about my nephew Eric was that he was always kind of a little odd, a little strange and somewhat of a klepto but I couldn’t prove that. So, anyway, one night I was in my room actually trying to go to sleep. I started dozing off and I heard a knock at my door. My room had two doors, one that leads into the house and one that leads into the backyard which is really cool when I used to sneak out. Anyway, so I heard a knock at the backdoor and I was like, that's odd, that never happens. And I said, 'Who is it?' And it was my nephew, Eric. He said in a hurried voice, 'Hey, Alan, it's me. Let me in.' I said, 'No, Eric, you know you're not supposed to be coming into my room. Go away!' And he said, like, 'No, man, let me in! Let me in! They're going to get me. Let me in! You have to let me in!' And I said, 'Dude, just go to the front door. I'll unlock it. Come in.' So I wake up, kinda pissed because I was trying to sleep, and I go out to the front and I see my parents driving up. And I said, 'Hey, guys, mom, dad, did you guys see Eric? He was out here trying to bug me in my room after I said specifically, I don't want him in my room. You guys need to talk to him.' And my dad said, 'Alan, you're still asleep. Go back to sleep.' And said, 'Nah, I'm wide awake now because Eric woke me up.' He said, 'Alan, Eric is... He's asleep in the living-room. That's where he was when we left.' I ran inside really quick, went to the living-room and I found him asleep on the couch. And I said, 'Eric, were you just knocking on my backdoor?' and he said, 'No, man, I'm asleep.' That tripped me out.

If that wasn't enough to creep me out, a week later, my mom and I are out front. She's watering her plants. I'm just kinda hanging with her and we see a lady with, like, flowers and candles and stuff by the corner of our house near the street and we see her laying stuff there. Now my mom's like, 'Let's see what she's doing.' So my mom asks the girl in Spanish, like, 'Hey, what's up? Can I help you?' And the lady said in English, 'Oh, hi, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you guys, I'm just putting something here for my boyfriend. He was a... He was a, you know, I lost him here ten years ago and I'm just paying respect.' And my mom's like, 'If you don't mind me asking, what happened?' Apparently they used to live in that same duplex at that time. They got into a nasty fight. Her and her boyfriend and she kicked him out of the house. And when she was trying to take a shower, he came knocking at that backdoor saying, 'Let me in! They're going to get me, let me in!' And she told him, 'No, no, get out of here! Get out of here,' you know, 'You're not allowed in this house anymore!' he said, 'Let me in!' She said, 'No, go away!' So apparently he left the backyard only to get shot and killed in the front yard at that very corner. So when I heard her tell that story, I pretty much, I got weak in the knees because I was like, I heard that exact same thing last week. Somebody was telling me to: Let me in! Let me in, they're going to get me!' The same thing I had heard is what she told me.”

Winged 'Owl-Like' Humanoid Encountered in Chicago Suburb

The following report was provided by Manuel Navarette at UFOCH:

Friday October 26, 2018 - 12:30 am: The report was submitted by an older couple who work as an over-the-road team for a trucking company in Alsip, IL. They both have been driving together for over 15 years and have been married for over 27 years. The gentleman was at the wheel of the truck when the encounter occurred and his wife was in the passenger seat. I spoke to both of them at the same time at a local restaurant near the truck yard in Alsip, IL.

Both agreed to have the story submitted but asked that their names be kept confidential due to the nature of their work and the fact that they did not want someone from their company (who was also based in Alsip, IL to find out about their sighting.

The initial sighting report is as follows:

“We were on our way to park our truck at the yard after being on the road for 2 weeks. As we approached the railroad track crossing, we noticed something standing in the middle of the road and thought it was a homeless person walking along the tracks. We popped on the high intensity lights and to our surprise, it was not a homeless person at all. This thing looked like a large owl, as in it had what looked like feathers and a flat rounded face with large eyes that reflected the LED lights on our truck. This thing appeared to lunge at us, while trying to cover its eyes with its left arm. I pulled on the airhorn and this thing turned its back on us and then took a couple of steps and then took off into the air and flew off into the night.

We were left sitting there in complete shock as we watched it disappear into the night. After a minute or two of looking to see if the damn thing would come back around, we continued into the yard. We parked our truck and walked toward the car, as we were almost at the car, we heard what sounded like a scream followed by another and then silence. We hustled our tails to the car and left for home.”

The area where the sighting is heavily industrialized with a few residential areas nearby. The railroad crossing mentioned sits approximately ¾ of a mile from the entrance and is surrounded by wooded area on West 122nd Street and is across the street from a Coca Cola plant. I accompanied the couple to the location of the sighting and will be posting information on the location in the future.

The investigation is still ongoing and a UFOCH is currently speaking with the land owner in order to obtain permission to mount a trail-cam at the sight in order to get round the clock photographic evidence to help us further the investigation.

Please stay tuned as we post updates on our investigation into this sighting.

“Three friends and I are driving home a girl around 3AM. Suddenly the passenger and I see a blue light in the sky descending. It's bright as hell so I couldn't make out the shape of the craft and it was high enough to pass through the clouds. My friend and I are are speechless and we couldn't tell the passengers until after we lost sight of it past the tree line. After the shock wears off we tell the people in the backseat about it and drop off the girl. So we are driving back to friend's house going 55 mph and a white owl flies up next to my car and has his head pointed directly at us. He's staring at us while flying 55 mph. The owl is close enough to roll down the window and touch him. He flies off after 5 seconds and then less than a mile down the road another white owl does the same thing and everyone in the car starts screaming out of some kind of primal fear no one could explain. For some reason I slam on the brakes and everyone yells at me to keep driving I have seen the same blue light multiple times since then. One time with the friend who saw the first one. This happened in Georgia by the way.” - Joe Walkowe

'Spy vs Spy' Shadow Figure

Laurie from Massachusetts wrote to tell of her weird encounter:

“My father's a builder, so when I was 5 years old my folks bought a small one floor lakefront cottage in Plymouth, Massachusetts that they had planned to fix up and move into. I have an older brother and sister and we would spend weekends there for the short time we owned the house. I remember it having a weird musty smell and a weird boat house that was more like a shed over the water with no bottom so the boat could glide on in. The boathouse really doesn't come into play but I just remember being really afraid of going even near it even as I remember it now. Well, one night I was sent to bed as the youngest and I recall seeing the shadow of a man wearing a big hat looking through my bedroom window. The shadow was really solid and the hat was tall and pointed. I recall it reminded me of one of those crows from Mad Magazine that were spies. Anyway, I of course screamed and my dad came to my rescue. We went outside with a flashlight but could not find any evidence of someone lurking in the woods surrounding the cottage. My folks assured me it was just a dream and time to go back to sleep. I know I was not sleeping. They kept the door open a bit to let me have some light. Now this is where it gets really strange. I recall as clear as day that from the bottom of the adjacent wall, footprints started to appear from the bottom and walk themselves up the wall and onto the ceiling. They were the type of prints you could see on a dance chart, and extremely black and solid looking. As one print would appear, the other one before would disappear. I recall being very freaked out as I just got this whole 'It's a dream' thing. I pulled the covers up over my head and went to sleep. We never ended up living in the house full time. I was told that my siblings didn't like it because it smelled funny.”

Experiencer Claims Multiple Brief Pregnancies

I recently received the following account. I am posting the original email at this time. I plan to follow-up with the witness and go over the evidence. I will provide further information at a later date.:

My name is AT - I'm almost 25 years old and have lived in Canada, New York and New Hampshire.

The first time I ever considered an alien was real or anything was when I was 19-20, when my boyfriend and I of a few years lived in Canada. We woke up one day like normal, had breakfast, sat down and I’ll never forget his face. I thought he was having a brain aneurysm or something and I, obviously panicking, asking what’s wrong?! He shakily said ‘I just remembered something and I don’t know how to explain it.’ He had tears running down his face, shaking like a leaf and after I held him a few minutes he started talking. He is a Native American and a strong man who has almost a genius IQ, who doesn’t smoke drink or use drugs, who doesn’t believe in ghosts or any of that ‘stupid stuff’ so this is not a normal thing.

He told me he woke up in bed and two 'aliens' were walking in the room. He was screaming trying to wake me up. He said they were the typical grey aliens but had long arms and no sex organs. He said they came into the room with their hands out like to give us a 'high five.' He told me when he was screaming. It was like I couldn’t hear him at all and I am a soft sleeper. He said one alien came over and kept a hand over top of me while the other one walked towards him with his hands up. He said he heard this ‘hum’ and it was putting him in a trance, no matter how hard he fought it. The alien was on top of him until he passed out.

I ended up finding out I was pregnant not long after and the conception date the doctor gave us was around THAT NIGHT. We did a lot of research but he couldn’t handle it. He always shook and would become overwhelmed anytime he heard a weird hum that reminded him of it or anything. We assumed maybe they were implanting their DNA into our baby. Trying to cross breed or maybe taking our eggs or semen. But that was that, and I didn’t think about it again until 3 years later after we broke up for awhile.

I still blame that incident for our breakup. Like it was a reminder of that traumatic memory. After we broke up he refused to talk about it. I started having sleep paralysis and weird sleep issues and never thought much about it until I started being aware. Once I forced myself to be aware of what’s truly happened I realized that I was being abducted. A LOT. The normal stories you hear and read don’t really match. But what I know is that they can control us while we are sleeping and weak. When we are sleeping they telepathically can control us by forcing us back to sleep or paralyzing us. After two years of being aware I started to get really good at fighting their forced sleep or paralysis. They’ve actually gotten angry and threatened me 'telepathically' to stop and that I need to not 'make it harder on them.' Also ‘if I just go to sleep I won’t be scared anymore.’ If I want to move again to just fall back asleep and I will wake up just fine. To my knowledge if you break out of the ‘trance’ they are told to leave because it makes it dangerous and hard to control us. Everytime I overpower them they always just leave. I now know when they come in my room and I can normally wake up. Some sort of defense mechanism I assume.

But that has caused many other issues. I now think they are using harsher methods when trying to take me. Anyways they do not like for us to see them so they try to attack at our backs. Stand over our back or behind us. I have now set up my bed so they have to walk to the side of me in front of my TV, that I always have on because I continue to try to see them. I am now scared of the dark. Tonight I had a horrible sleep. My body kept telling me they were coming. I never did this before but tonight turned on my phone. And recorded. It was two hours of recording and it is raining outside. I woke up paralysed like usual and I opened a eye and saw the shadow in the corner of my TV and fought my hardest to get out of my paralysis. It only took me a second and I lifted my head up, looked right at it and it vanished.

So I went to watch to my recording to see if I could hear or see anything at the moment I saw it. The minute before I broke free from my sleep and picked up my phone to see if anything was on it I can clearly hear a humming beat like a heartbeat in the background. I can hear the beat start around 30 seconds into the clip I provided. I can provide entire recording of an hour and so for authenticity as well. My only guess is that’s the sound wave they may use to control us during our sleep I am not sure. I have a lot more I would like to try to remember by hypnosis and I know they will be back.

I honestly believe they have human women carry children as ‘cross breeds’ because their sexual organs have slowly been failing. We carry them for a month or two in our wombs and then take them out. And can somehow keep them alive from then on with their technology. I have been consistently feeling pregnant on and off for a year. My breast fill up huge and are tender. I have acne cravings and weight gain. I hope to personally demand to know more of what these creatures are doing and why they are taking me. This is the first time contacting anyone because this is the first time I have any sort of proof. AT

Creepy Clown In My Bedroom

Marnie told Dave Schrader about her weird experience:

“I was five years old. I was sleeping in a double bed with my brother who was three at the time. I was having trouble sleeping. I was rolling around. I could hear my parents watching the evening news. It was the 10 o'clock news hour and I kept rolling back and forth and I rolled and there was a clown standing beside my bed. And he was staring down at me and I could hear him breathing. (Scrader asks if the clown was happy-looking) It was more of a maniacal, scary. He had red hair, the whole thing. I was up so long that when the furnace would kick on, I could hear the cheap satin rustling on his outfit. And I was so afraid to move and then I heard the Johnny Carson music from the other room. My parents started turning down the lights. They were going to bed and I was so terrified to scream out to them, I don't. I snake my arm underneath the covers and I pinched my brother in the soft part of the arm trying to wake him up. He didn't wake up. He pulled away from me so I kept opening and closing my eyes, hoping the next time that I opened my eyes, this would be gone and it just wasn't. And it seemed to me that it went on for hours. And then I think I just really fell asleep out of just pure exhaustion and terror.

And then the next morning, I woke up and I told my parents. They, of course, thought I was dreaming but my brother did have a bruise where I pinched him. And that... I have no explanation. I didn't see it leave. I think I just literally, I think from opening and closing my eyes, thinking it would be gone, passed out or fell asleep. It never happened again. It was the one time. It's very vivid and it has stuck with me my entire life. (Schrader asks if it spoke or made noise.) No. It did blink. No other noises. Just breathing. Staring. And when the furnace would kick off and on, I could hear the satin on his outfit rustling because the furnace was very close to the bed. (Schrader asks about the outfit, if it was bloody.) No. It was purple and green and with the red tie. I stared for so long I would know the stupid clown again if I saw it but I've never seen anything exactly like that.”

Bigfoot Harassed Me For 15 Days

I recently came across the following account:

I was hiking up in the Cascades in Oregon. I was in a more remote area of the range. On the 6th or 7th day on the trail, the hair on the back of my neck started standing up. I chalked it up to being a mountain lion in the area. But the weird thing was the uneasy feeling never left.

That night is when I heard the howling, it wasn't wolves or bears or any other animal I had ever heard. The closest thing I could relate it to is the noises apes and monkeys make. This persisted for the next few nights, eventually things started rummaging through my campsite. Naturally I assumed it was a bear or raccoons.

But then on the 11th day, I woke up and my food bag was removed from the tree, something had cut the line through. All my food was gone. I decided to keep pushing, I had 4 days left till the end of the trail. I'm familiar with what I can and can't eat in the area and I could always fish for food. The same nightly activities occurred and on the 13th night something started throwing rocks at my tent. For some reason I lost it, I screamed into the darkness for whatever it was to leave me alone. Hoping it was just some person f**king with me and maybe they'd scream out, "sorry mate" or something. Instead it grew quiet for the first time in nights. Nothing could be heard. Then a scream louder and more vicious than any other night cut through the night. Then nothing, complete and utter silence again. Despite it being quiet I wasn't able to sleep that night, I just waited.

The next day I continued my hike, dead tired, just wanting to get out. The hair on the back of my neck still standing. The forest was still quiet, I felt like I was being hunted. Towards the end of the day I had sat down to rest before pushing a few more miles when I saw it. Something tall and large, bigger than any man or animal I had seen, sliding through the forest not making a noise. I yelled at it, it turned to look at me. I never got a good look at it through the trees and the brush and it was dark, but I knew that whatever it was it was causing this. I threw a rock at it and then pulled my knife. This thing just kept staring at me. I don't know what kicked in, but I no longer felt scared. I was angry and tired of this thing messing with me. I quickly moved towards it. It turned and bolted into the forest. I thought about following it, but it's long strides would have easily outpaced me. I backtracked my way back to my backpack and the resting area. I was exhausted and made camp there. Another night of silence.

I woke up the next day and had about 10 miles until I was out. Exhausted, hungry, mentally drained, I made my way out. As I got closer and closer to the end of the trail, the typical forest noises returned. Birds, bugs, mice running through the undergrowth. All these noises slowly returned. I no longer had this feeling of unease. I got to trails end, sat in my car, and broke down. I was never a believer in Bigfoot, but that thing was not another person / human. I told a park ranger about it and he jokingly said they have a bunch of Bigfoot sightings in the area, but most likely it was a locals screwing with me or my own imagination. I do a lot of long hikes, but that 15 days was by far the worst. - CR

Alien Abductions / Government Conspiracy

I recently received the following account:

I'm 38 years old and have been abducted 3 times (that I can at least remember). It started when I was 12 years old. I was in my bedroom star-gazing out of my window in Arlington, Texas at around 11:15 p.m. on November 22, 1992. I saw a light moving in the night sky that moved slowly south. It was not blinking and was like a hazy ball of white light. It would stop and go frequently and move in one direction then disappear and reappear going in another direction. I noticed it getting brighter as if it were getting closer to me. All of a sudden it stops and a beam of light comes straight at me. I fall back off of the table I was sitting on and I can't see anything but white. My eyes were blurred and couldn't see anything but light. I got cold and felt like I was floating.

Then I am all of a sudden in the presence of 3 beings and I'm laying on a metallic table. The beings were short and skinny with long arms. Their heads were elongated and their bodies were like a pale human with tinted skin of grey and had a texture of scales on their body and wrinkles on their face, especially near their eyes. Their eyes were slanted and large black shiny eyes. When they blinked, their eyelids were transparent like a reptile, almost clear. They had a small mouth and almost like a frown. I felt as if I was in a trance state. I could move but was too scared to, so I laid there and looked down at the straps holding my arms and legs. It looked like a type of flexible metal, but soft. They poked me with a needle that came down from the ceiling and a monitor was floating around me and I could see myself on the monitor. Like a floating TV going all around my body. I began to scream and the older one looked at me and spoke to me through my mind in a robotic-like human voice and told me I have nothing to worry about. All of a sudden I looked at him and thought what do you want, he responded we are here to help you. We are of many and we are one of the same. I asked "what do you mean we are the same" he looked at the other two beings and then the other smaller being said in a female robotic-like voice "we protect your race from others who want to harm you". I then kept asking questions and they began to ignore me. They put a film of clear soft silk-like material over my face and I don't remember anything after that. I woke up in my bedroom on the floor and wobbled my way to the window and they were gone. I looked at my clock and it was 11:34 p.m. it had only been 19 minutes but it felt like hours had gone by.

Throughout the years I have had multiple abductions and it's just not something you go telling people without getting a weird look. Back in 2012 I began a blog online and explained many of my experiences and my computer would constantly crash and my computer even caught fire during a live chat with another person while talking about our experiences online. It began to make me nervous to go online researching things like this. I feel as if I'm being watched by our government. Through many of my abductions I have learned that the government is working hand-in-hand with them and it is bigger than I realize. There is something going on which I believe is a new form of genetic transformation of the human race. - JJ

Phantom Truck, Walking White Spectre and Spiralling Ghosts

Gio in New York called to tell of a strange encounter he had:

“What happened to me last year, I'm a local truck driver and I was going to my customer in Albany and as I exited there on 228 I turned right to go to Highway 99 and to anybody familiar with that area, it's a clover leaf type of turn to go to Highway 99 off of Highway 34. So I'm following this truck and I'm like, 'Dude, man, you're kinda going a little bit slow here', you know, right. So as we approached the 99, it went straight but in front of it was a flatbed truck that was exiting where I was going and I go, 'Okay, now I know why he was going slow. It's the flatbed.' Now, as the truck is making its turn on the clover leaf there, I immediately.... I'm trained to go and look right to the end of the ramp to see if there's any cars there waiting so I can time my braking and stuff. Well, the truck just disappears. It was a phantom truck. I mean it was nowhere. No cars. This was around 9:30 or 9:00 o'clock at night. And there at the end of the ramp, at the light, there's, you know, you have visibility about a hundred feet to the left of the light and another hundred of so feet to the right of the light. So there's no way. I mean I was around at least two and a half seconds behind the flatbed. I got back and, my wife's into this, and she told me that it's a projection of something that happened on the curve and all it's doing is like it's repeating itself every now and then. I'm like where did it go? There's no way, if it went toward the light and it either turned left or turned right, I would have saw it. I'm like, like I said, I'm only like two and a half seconds away from the lights there, you know, his trailer lights. It was really weird, man.”

“I just want you to know that ghosts are real. I saw what I believed to be a ghost, when I was about 9 years old. Only the figure I saw was all white, and kind of glowing. It was also about 7 feet tall and very thin. It was crossing a bridge that goes over a creek. I was playing in the creek with a friend, and we both saw it. We thought it looked odd, so we ran up the dirt road to the road where the figure was walking. The figure had crossed the bridge, and we were all heading in the same direction. For just a moment, the leaves from a tree blocked my view of the figure. We got to the road, and the figure was gone. The figure did not have time to go anywhere else. We were scared, and we ran to my house. My mother took my friend home, because she was too scared to walk home. The valley, where I lived, was an ancient Indian burial ground. I had always thought of what we had seen (after I got over my fright of it) as the spirit of an Indian from long ago.” - Faye Brown

“I have a story that I would like to share. I used to live in this basement suite for a few years when I was a child and I was very sure the place was haunted because I'm more than positive that the house next door was haunted since my grandparents lived there and we have all heard what sounds like my late great grandmother cough. But anyway that is not my story. So my dad and I used to sleep talk while we lived in the place. My dad was sleep talking and his girlfriend at the time must have been awake and my dad started to say in his sleep, 'Did we get the spirally guys?' And at that moment she looked up and she saw ghosts spiralling. That's my story but I was wondering if you know if these spirally guys are common?”

Possible Skinwalker Encounter

Raldo in New Mexico wrote to tell of his skinwalker sighting:

“I haven't really heard many stories of Native American skinwalkers, so I thought I would share my experience. My sighting happened in the summer of 2007 when I was working the night shift at a surface coal mining facility. I used to drive a coal hauling truck which was pretty huge and required a series of steps just to climb into the cab. I just completed my pre-shift inspection and I noticed that my radiator was leaking. I called my supervisor and he asked me to drive the truck to the shop. The shop was about six miles to the north from the coal pits which was located in a remote part of the Navajo Reservation. I drove the truck to the shop, called the shop foreman and he radio requested that I park the truck at the south side of the shop. I parked the truck and I lowered the ladder and I descended the ladder. I wanted to see how much fluid was left in the radiator. So I lowered the rear ladder and climbed into the engine compartment. The leak was pretty bad so I climbed down the ladder and that is when I saw the skinwalker.

It was the weirdest thing that I've ever seen. I seen it was about two hundred feet from me. It was walking around the other mining equipment. It looked like a huge dog. The fur was beige in color and it walked on all four legs. The coat was pretty patchy, missing clumps of fur and bald spots. It smelled really bad like a rotting roadside corpse. It had seen me and started to walk towards me. I pulled out my flashlight and I noticed that the dog's eyes did not reflect any light. Its eyes were black and lifeless. Its head made a bobbing motion. And it was walking towards me. Its head was huge. It looked like a Bull Mastiff which was my first impression. I initially thought, this is a huge dog and it's probably sick and hungry. It got to within twenty feet of me and I pulled out my pocket knife. I was ready to defend myself if this thing wanted to attack. I started to walk carefully towards the shop and I kept my eyes on the creature. It followed me, paralleled my every step. Its walk wasn't natural and fluid like a normal dog. It moved in an unnatural way. I walked about a hundred and fifty yards to the shop and it kept its distance. I finally got to the shop and the skinwalker stopped at the driveway of the shop bay doors.

I went inside and I told the shop foreman and to come see this weird looking dog. And we both went outside to see it walk away from the shop and turn around the corner of the building. A few seconds later, my supervisor drove around that very corner and I asked him if he had seen that weird looking animal. He said that he didn't see it. I told him that he had to have seen it. He drove in the very direction that it walked off towards. I described what I had seen and my supervisor said that it was a skinwalker. That night, my supervisor made me ride with him throughout the rest of the night shift. He opened me up to a world and told me of his experiences while he worked at the mine. I haven't had anymore experiences since that encounter but I've seen mysterious lights around the mining area that didn't make any noises."
