'Charlie Chan': Mysterious Mall Shapeshifter

“Here is my strange people story. In the summer of 1989 I was working in the St. Anne Mall, Northwest Plaza, in St. Louis County, Mo. I had just gotten off work a bit early as it was a slow business day. There weren't very many people out and the Mall was nearly a ghost town. I was heading through the mall to the parking lot. As I came near the center of the mall I was passing Russell Stover Candies near the intersection of four hallways. Just as I got to about center of the store around the corner from the western hallway came a man dressed very oddly. He looked exactly like Charlie Chan, EXACTLY LIKE HIM. From skin complexion all the way down to the black Bowler hat. He was even dressed is the same style of suit Charlie Chan wore in the old movies. This was odd enough, however what happened next really is the strange part.

Making eye contact with the "person" startled me enough to make me glance away for a second. When I say a second, I really mean only for a second. When I looked back at the man, his entire appearance had changed. Now he was a middle-aged white guy dressed in a light brown modern suit with no hat and carrying an umbrella, which was strange as it had not rained in several days and there was no foul weather in the forecast for at least another week. I looked at and made eye contact with the "person" again and he smiled slightly with a smirk and gave me a wink as if to say 'How's this?' or 'Is this better?' and he just continued on his way without saying a word. I looked around to see if the person wearing the black suit had simply slipped past without me seeing but there was no one else around in that hallway or in the intersection and I could clearly see all four hallways.

To this day I wish I had pressed the "person" about what I know I saw. I do not believe that what I saw was human nor do I believe that it was a ghost. It could have been a shapeshifter, however, I don't believe that if it was a shapeshifter as in an intelligent being as I do not believe that it would have attracted attention to itself by shifting into someone else in front of that person who found it odd in the first place. I believe that the shift in appearance was more likely due to a bad A.I. program that could detect when it's appearance had caused confusion and then corrected its appearance to conform to something more normal to the viewer. Yes I realize that this would mean that every viewer would see it differently, however, that would not be a problem for a significantly advanced A.I. communicating at brainwave level.” - Eric Smith

Did I Encounter the Mogollon Monster?

I recently came across the following account:

This summer I spent a lot of time camping. I live in AZ, so the best place to get out of the heat is in the Flagstaff area, also known as the Mogollon Rim. My goal when finding a camping spot is to get far away from anyone. I bring everything I need, water, toilet, etc. so I can really just enjoy nature without sounds of ATVs or other campers bothering me. I have a lifted SUV so I can go where most people won't and it helps to get the perfect spot.

We picked a forest road near Ashurst Lake, and drove over a rocky road for about an hour until we found a good spot by a dried up lake bed. It was tucked in the trees off the road. Beautiful spot. It had a well-worn game trail that went through it and across the dry lake bed. We saw a few wolves on the day we arrived, and some deer or elk, but the wildlife seemed to avoid us after they saw humans were in their territory.

During the day I walked around collecting bones, I found quite a few from deer / elk. I was bored and feeling a bit morbid so I made a windchime out of the bones and hung it up outside of my tent like a creepy art project.

I was laying in the tent that night, my dog and SO were asleep already, and I found myself awake for some reason. Not sure if I had trouble sleeping or I heard a noise and woke up. But I definitely heard something now.

There was no background noise, no owls, no crickets, nothing, except for the thing that was in my camp. It was SLOW, heavy steps in the tall grass right through our camp site. It was so slow, like one step every couple seconds, it had to be bipedal. No shuffling, just CRUNCH... CRUNCH... CRUNCH. We were miles from anyone, we only saw a few cross country ATV's the whole trip, and they went back the way they came. No one else was out there, then suddenly we have this bipedal creature walking through our campsite?

I had a pistol on the ground next to me but I dared not even move. I didn't want to wake up my SO. I just laid there and waited, barely wanting to breathe, just seeing what would come next.

It walked right by our tent, kept walking with it's slow pace, the noise fading slowly as it wandered deeper into the woods.

The next day I told my SO and she wasn't happy. At the time I thought it was a skinwalker, something along those lines. A magic humanoid who came to take a look. Today I learned about the Mogollon Monster, which is essentially a Sasquatch who lives in the wilderness around Flagstaff. Did I have a run in with the famous Mogollon Monster? BTY

Sasquatch-Like Alien Abducted Me

Châteauguay, Quebec, Canada - 1976-08-07: At the age of 6, experiences which I have now come to suspect as being abduction experiences, occurred with terrifying frequency. For many decades I was convinced that they were nothing more than a recurring nightmare, but now I am not so sure.

The experience begins after I am put to bed, in spite of my protests that leaving me alone in my bedroom would result in harm to me by unknown entities. Shortly after being put to bed, the red eyes would appear right outside of my bedroom window. They seemed to hang there, though I was never once able to make out any physical body which housed these terrifying eyes. Though I have memories of these eyes communicating with me, in spite of their lack of a mouth. Sometimes, they would be reassuring, and other times they were terrifying in their cold, calculatedness. I would always fight the desire to sleep, because I somehow knew that the eyes were waiting for me to fall asleep before they would be able to interfere with me. I was never once able to avoid falling asleep, though I tried valiantly.

Inevitably, my eyelids would begin to droop, and before long, I was being carried in the arms of a Sasquatch-like being, whose arms and legs were covered in thick, black fur. I do not recall being able to discern any facial features of the creature as every time I tried to make eye contact, it was if my mind blurred out the terrifying face, I should have been able to see. I also do not remember there being any foul stench, as normally associated with Sasquatch. I would then be carried out of my bedroom, and down the stairs to the landing at the main floor where the kitchen, the living room, and the hallway which leads to the front door, meet.

Once there I am frantically looking around as I am screaming in terror for someone, anyone to save me, though I distinctly remember not being able to get away from the beast, no matter how I tried. I was able however, to gain a fairly good peripheral view of my surroundings. I noted that the entire family is seated in the living room, in the middle of the night, and in various stages of undress, and they seemed to be playing cards. Which has led me to believe that they were engaged in a game of strip poker.

Every member of that staunchly catholic, and severely sexually repressed family was seated there half naked or more, and fully engaged in a game of cards, from my grandmother, right to my 6-year-old sister. All were slowly stripping down, garment by garment. All were oblivious to what was happening to me, as they focused intently on their card game. I screamed and screamed, but no one gave even the slightest indication that they could even hear me, much less respond. then the beast turned right to exit the front door.

This is where it varies on occasion. sometimes it ends abruptly with the opening of the screen door, and others it ended with me being handed off to something I could not see which carried me up the ladder into some sort of craft, which I also could not see. It felt as though my body was being fully supported at all pressure points by an unseen force. Later on, as these experiences continued, I remember being whisked into a blindingly white room onto a bed. I do not remember the facial features of the beings in that room with me, as I was never able to see any faces clearly. It was like they were always blurred out. I could see every other detail perfectly, but never their faces. I remember them taking something out of my head, through my right nostril. They only did this once that I recall.

I remember waking up the next morning with an unexplained nosebleed. Nosebleeds are not something I have ever had, before, nor since. - MUFON

Changelings, Fairies and Hat-Man: Strange Tales From Ireland

I come from a small village in Ireland. When I was growing up the population was somewhere around the 900 mark, and it's over 1600 now, been growing at a steady increase over the last few years. In the early 90's when I was a kid, pretty much every adult had some sort of 'ghost story.' I'm not even kidding, the amount of stuff I was told was ridiculous, sometimes laughable but quite often terrifying. Personally, I've had a number of experiences. I know it sounds convenient but they had a profound effect on my life and still shake me now when I think about them, they're for another time though. The main reason for writing to you guys now is to talk about two topics you brought up on previous shows. The Hat-Man and Changelings.

Just outside my village there is an old road called the Stump Lane, on the stump lane there's the ruins of an old house. It's beaten down to about two layers of the stone walls now and beside it is a tree known to the people of that area as the fairy tree. Further down the lane lives a woman who when she was a child, used to live in that old house by the fairy tree. It's said that her family were forced out of the house by the fairies. You see, the fairy folk were supposed to be pissed at her father Mr Bolger, for building a house by their tree. Apparently, (not saying I believe this part but a Hell of a lot of people do) there were several attempts made to chop the tree down but people were quickly put off by the red blood like substance that would stream from the cuts made by saws or axes (more than likely sap though, right?).

Down along the middle of the lane, there is a row of about 10 houses that are spaced out over about a kilometer, and 2 fields back behind these is a place simply known as the Fairy Fort. Further down the lane then, there is a separate lane that ventures off to an old farm that is owned by the Dunbar family I believe. A story I heard about them that dates back to the 30's is an odd one. I cannot give you names but one of the children, a young teenager at the time, was out picking blackberries one day for his mother but didn't return home. It got late and the mother got very worried. They were a country family in rural Ireland in the 30's, the children were never out late. She sent her husband and other sons out looking for him, but there was no sign of him. 3 weeks went by and they feared the worst, but he did eventually come home, though he was not the same. He came home nursing a sore arm, in fact one of his hands was deformed, it had been changed into a baby's hand. He said he was taken by the fairies, and this was not questioned, it was believed as absolute truth. The mother and father apparently tried a number of different things to please the fairies in the hope that they would make their son whole again, but the son died sometime in the 80's if I am remembering what I was told correctly and with one of his hands small and deformed. I just threw in those few because I know you guys love stories about the little people and I wanted to give you a feel for the area I grew up. So, the Changeling.

I'm not sure of the date on this one but it is said to have happened around the outskirts of the village. The woman who told me about the story of the Dunbars, shared this one with me too. She told me a sh*tload of things and really enjoyed sharing stories about the fairies and was a complete believer in them.

This is the story of a young woman who was widowed not long after she had given birth. Now fending for herself and a baby, she took on a job picking cabbages. Whilst working one day, her baby was sleeping in a basket along one of the drills. Everything was nice and quiet, till she got home. Her baby was different looking, old looking, the same size, but it looked like and old man. She couldn't leave its side, it would scream and shout for her, and not only that, it would curse and say foul things, laughing as it did. Her family came to visit and were disturbed by the baby. It threw bread at them, and spat at them, sniggering and jeering them as it did.

When they were leaving, the young lady's father brought her outside, the baby screamed like a banshee. The father told her that the thing inside was not her child and that he was going to send the priest out to her. Sure enough the priest called out to her and he received the same abuse. He told her to leave the thing outside for three days and no matter how hard to tried to get in, she was to leave it out there, ignore it, for it was not her child anymore, it was one of the fairies.

She didn't want to go through with it, but after suffering for weeks, she left the thing outside. It cried like a baby, sobbing and screaming and pleading...'mammy, please let me in mammy, don't leave me out here. I'm scared'. For three days and nights she listened to it bang on the windows, scream for her and weep in ways no person wants to her. But it all stopped, after the third night, there was silence. She opened the door to find her baby boy had been returned unharmed, safe and grinning.

So, onto the Hat-Man. I was really surprised that you guys have talked about the Hat-Man, mainly because I thought this guy was only based in my county, Wexford. I never imagined that it what such a common occurrence across the world.

When I was around 8 years old, I had a pal who was over at my house when he told me something that his father had told him and the rest of the family when they were eating dinner the night before. His father was working as a farmhand, and on this day was sheering sheep. He said he got a feeling someone was watching him. He looked around and saw nothing out of the ordinary and continued working. He would again feel a presence around him though and this time when he turned he saw a huge man, a man wearing a top hat and what looked like a cloak. He could not make out any features though, he just said that the man was black, he was just all black. My mother was there when my friend was retelling his father's story and she would follow it with a story of her own. Well, it was her mother's (my grandmother).

She told us that her mother had often spoke of about seeing and being followed by a man in a top hat and cloak. My grandmother was not from the village were I lived, she was from a town some 9 miles away. It's a decent sized town I guess and it has plenty of its own stories too I'm sure. Her house was in a little cul-de-sac that was at the back of an old supermarket. There was a shortcut to her house, a small narrow alley that stretched the length of the store all the way past her house. There were no lights on the actual alley itself and the walls on either side were pretty high, for the most part. So when it was night and dark, it was really damn dark on that alley. The only light you could see was the light back down at the end that shun from the road where the store was.

My grandmother was playing bingo one night, and sure enough like any other night, she walked up that alley to get home quicker. Halfway up it she heard footsteps behind her. She stopped and did something she always advised her kids against doing, she turned around to see what was there. There was nothing there, the long narrow laneway was empty. She began to walk again and once again she heard something behind her. She turned, this time, the hat man walked out of the shadows and stood tall and menacing, a dark silhouette that almost blocked all the light at the end of the alley. She told my mother that she asked him 'what he wanted' and something else. He didn't answer though and she just turned back and walked home. I'm not sure if she ever saw him again. She was old school though, hard as nails, but on the inside she was a cushion.

The next time I heard something about him, I was around 20. I was having a few pints with a few mates, there was a lock in, which there normally was (and is) in the pubs in my village. When we sat down at a table where some old stories were being told. A guy got talking. Now this man is as straight as they get, no bullsh*t kind of guy. A country chap who worked his ass off during the week and enjoyed a pint on the weekends. He said he was walking home one night, it was black dark. Man, once you walk out of Ferns (my village), well back then at least, there were no lights till the next town or village. So, he's walking home when just like my grandmother he heard someone walking behind him. He stopped and looked back, and this happened several times, to the point where it sounded like the footsteps were right behind him. He stopped and looked back, nothing there, he turned back to face the way he was going, when there standing in front of him was a tall man with a top hat. He said the man was jet black, so black that he was even more dark and black that the black night that surrounded him. He was frozen, terrified, the Hat-Man walked past him and said nothing, disappearing into the night. The guy who told us this was visibly shaken by what happened and had nothing to gain by making something like that up. We even walked him home that night. I heard two other stories about him, but they are different, he is far more aggressive in them and I'm not so sure whether or not I can believe the sources. All the best, peace. Shay Davitt

'Time Travelers' From the Past?

“The following account is of a strange experience that occurred to my mother at the age of 5, along with her family in the winter of 1957. The incident was the picking up of hitchhikers that may or may not be human. The incident bears some similarities with accounts of phantom hitchhikers, but goes much further to suggest that they were real flesh and bone beings.

My mother and her family, which consisted of her parents and older sister, lived between the cities of Reidsville and Greensboro in North Carolina. One day they had an errand in Reidsville and on their way there they saw an older couple walking on the opposite side of the road. A couple of hours later, leaving Reidsville on their way home, they saw the same couple in the same spot heading in the same direction as before; almost as if they had been walking on a treadmill having gained no ground at all. They pulled up and asked if they needed a lift and they said they were trying to get to Greensboro to the bus station. My grandfather agreed to take them there but first they would have to go home to be there in time to pick up their oldest daughter from the school bus near their house.

Once inside the car it became painfully obvious that they were poorly dressed for the cold icy weather. The woman was wearing a summer dress and sandals and the man a shirt and bib overalls and shoes along with a brimmed hat. My mother being a small child sat between her parents in the front seat but turned around facing the couple staring at the strangers as children do, taking in their appearance. The one thing that stood out in her mind was the man's piercing beautiful blue eyes. The man reached into his pocket and handed her a red pencil with coca cola written on it. When they reached home it was decided that they would have lunch with the couple, who said they were the Bradleys, before the drive to Greensboro. Considering their clothing my grandmother decided to give them more appropriate winter clothing and coats and shoes for the woman who only had sandals. Grandmother also decided to pack them snacks and sandwiches for their trip.

With their guests well-feed and with warmer clothing and snacks, everyone piled into the car to take them to Greensboro. Half way on their trip the Bradleys insisted that they needed to be let off on a bridge on old US Highway 29. Grandfather protested saying no they would likely not get another ride and being winter it would be getting dark soon and insisted on carrying them all the way. But they said, 'No!' They must be left off on the bridge. A sort of back and forth occurred between my grandfather and the Bradleys with them asking to please be let off on the bridge. Unable to change their mind he obliged and stopped the car. They opened the door and got out and immediately disappeared, leaving the door still open. My Grandfather was horrified, jumping out of the car, looking to see if they had fell down on the ice out of his view. But they were nowhere to be found. He looked all about and called for them but nothing but silence. The whole area was clear as far as he could see but still nothing. He got back in the car with his family, severely upset and confused as to what just happened as was everybody else. Frantically they drove up and down the road looking for them wondering if they had somehow got another ride, trying to rationalize the obviously spectacular disappearance of the Bradleys. After a fruitless search they drove back home confused as to what had occurred.

This made a huge impression on my mother, having distinctly remembered the incident all her life. So the question remains - who were the Bradleys? Were they ghosts? But ghosts don't stay all afternoon with you and eat lunch. Furthermore when they disappeared the clothes given to them disappeared as well. Even the sandwiches that were packed for them. This suggests that they were solid beings. Also why did they insist on being let off on the bridge, saying it must be done? Was it some sort of portal or gateway home. The whole thing remains a mystery.” - j boogie

Bat-Winged Humanoid Observed Near Hamilton, MT

I recently came across the following account:

This account took place in 2010. I was living in Hamilton, Montana with my current girlfriend. It was late at night and my friend and I would always go for a drive. We parked at an empty parking lot outside of a gym that was on the outskirts of town. My friend had his medical marijuana card and he would smoke while we talked about random sh*t (we worked together, workplace drama was usually the discussion). After we were done hanging out I started my car to head back into town. We started heading towards the outlet to take a right onto the main street. I was about 50 feet away from the outlet when I decided the mood called for some loud music (genre was rap and I can't, for the life of me, remember the song that was playing right at that moment). To give you an idea as to what our field of view was, the outlet had two white fences on each side that spanned the property. It was one of those fences that had two logs with spaces in between them so vision was partially blocked on the right and left side (granted it was pretty damn dark).

That is when sh*t hit the fan. Out of the corner of my eye I see what appeared to be a dusty brown ball of plastic or garbage that rolled into view from the other side of the right fence. We were driving closer as this was happening but as soon as I got a better look, I knew this was not a piece of garbage blowing in the wind. I immediately realized it was a winged flesh-like creature that appeared to have crash landed during flight. I thought my eyes were deceiving me and I immediately turned to my friend who let out one of the most blood curdling screams I have heard in my entire life. I kept looking at him and looking back at this "thing." My friend was so scared he flew his legs into the air (up against the passenger window and windshield) as if that would shield him from this creature we were approaching. I kept repeating, "WHAT IS THAT, WHAT IS THAT?" As soon as the creature came to its senses it planted its feet and took off flying in the opposite direction of my car. At this point I stopped the car and all I remember is heavy breathing from both my friend and I (from the adrenaline) as we watched the silhouette of this thing fly away. The wing-span on this creature was at LEAST 6-8 feet wide. It seemed to have webbing like a bat (no feathers). We watched it until it was not visible, which took a good while (Montana still has a decent amount of light pollution and we could see the contrast of this creature in the sky for 2-3 minutes before it disappeared).

I remember my friend told me, "Please just take me home." We took off and headed back into town. I just kept asking, "What was that, what was that?" I don't think there were more than a few words spoken between us at that point. I just kept asking, "What was that, what was that?" He would respond with, "I don't f*cking know man." I dropped him off. I went home and told my girlfriend who was laughing at how animated and serious I was when telling her what happened. The next day, I woke up and immediately called him. I asked him, "What did you see?" I wanted him to tell me first so that what I had to say did not influence him in his recollection of this creature. He told me, "It was a flesh-like creature, it was not a bird, there were no feathers." I asked him, "What color was it?" He told me, "Brown-ish and...." I said, "sort of grey?" He said, "OMG, yes."

I no longer talk to this friend as he slipped into a unfortunate issue with prescription pills. I wish we still had a friendship as I have wanted to talk to him about this event since it has happened. We both saw the exact same thing, we both nearly sh*t our pants. I am the type of person to laugh in the face of ghost/paranormal stuff. If I don't see it, I don't believe it. I still to this day cannot explain what I saw. I still get chills when thinking about my friends scream.The way I describe this thing is a gigantic bat/humanoid with wings. There was not one feather on this flying creature (I mention this because anyone I tell this story to tells me I probably saw a bird of some sort). I remember this creature being slightly hairy.

My theory as to why it was rolling around on the ground as if it crash landed out of the sky? I think my sub woofer/sound system might have messed with its navigation and that is another reason I feel it might have been a gigantic bat. This is by far one of the craziest stories I have to tell that I personally experienced. Can anyone help explain what I might have seen? Has anyone had similar experience with gigantic bat-like creatures?

Edit: It might be worth mentioning Rocky Mountain Labs is in Hamilton, MT. This is one of the highest security laboratories in the world. My ex-boss's ex-husband works there and the only thing she knew about this job was that he took care of the animals. The deadliest diseases are held in this lab and there are monkeys and other animals that are used for testing. SC

Sasquatch Makes Itself Known

“This story still creeps me out till this day. Back in May 1st of 2016 my bestfriend and I went hiking for my birthday on Mount Lassen, California. We hiked up the backside of the mountain which, most people hiked the front, so there weren't many people and good walking trails up there. So we hiked on a game trail. About 45 minutes and mid way up into the hike, my best friend said that it sounded like something was walking behind us off the trail, but I did not hear it myself. But I did have the feeling like something was watching us from about 20 minutes into the hike, but didn’t say anything until he brought that to my attention.

We kept hiking up for another 10 minutes till we stopped for water. We both just had an overwhelming feeling like something was in the forest on the mountain with us. So we decided to turn around and make our way down. Right as we started walking, my friend had a rock hit his backpack which hit it hard. As well, we both were pretty freaked because we didn’t know where it came from. So we pick our pace up and go to the bottom as fast as we could, but right before we got to the bottom we heard a loud growl from some bushes 20 feet from us. I pulled my gun which was a 45 ACP 1911 and we slowly got away from that area.

After that, at the bottom, when we were about 45 feet from the car, we kept hearing 2 different whistling sounds going back and forth from the tree line. That’s when I remembered, that is something that Sasquatches do, Itself Known as was the rock that hit my buddy. So we sat there for 20 minutes in the car watching the tree line to see if anything happened or if we would have a sighting, but nothing happened. We decided to leave and head home. But right as we start to drive away a nice sized rock hit the hood of my car which left a little dent and scratch.

That’s my first interaction with a Sasquatch and hope to have another one. I’m not gonna go out looking like other people because that’s how you end up like a Missing 411 case or something strange happening to you. I’ll just let it happen naturally because that’s when people have the best sightings or encounters.” - Aubrey Sweatt

Upright 'Tiger Man' Encountered in Queensland

“I've also encountered a cat man humanoid being in the woods of northern Queensland, Australia. I was working at a security detention centre in a place called Weipa up there. It's absolutely vast land there with woods stretching for miles and miles. It was about 3 AM in the morning when the encounter occurred. There were four security post around the fence line which we had to man and make sure the detainees didn't escape. I was stationed at Zulu 3 post which was situated behind the detention centre. Where those seven Lebanese detainees escaped three months before I started working there etc.

It was 3 AM and I was sitting at my post watching a kookaburra bird swoop down from the top of the tall fence to the grass collecting bugs, lizards, etc. when I heard a crash in the woods behind my post. This caused all the occupying kookaburra birds to wake up and call. There were thousands of them up there in the northern Queensland. I quickly got up and ran to see what the commotion was all about. Is when I saw what the birds where hacking at. It was a cat humanoid being standing about two metres behind my post. It was making its way through the trees until it saw me standing there watching it. It stopped and put both its hands up which looked like long claw's. It stood about 8 to 9 feet tall. I was trying to see what it looked like through the darkness but all I could see was feature wise was the shape of a cats face. Like a tiger. Honestly it looked ferocious and it was built like it was made to do serious damage. Standing on two feet. It then walked backwards into the words and vanished into the darkness of the woods. I was so glad I had a 40 feet fence between me and that monstrosity. For the remainder of my time working there I kept my back faced towards the detention centre and my front faced towards the woods. This encounter I'll definitely take to my grave.” - Mike Takesflight

Ghost Cat

“When I was in high school we had a ghost cat. We all used to see it in flashes out of the corners of our eye. And of course my real (very much alive) cat, Nike, used to chase things and hiss at the wall. One night I was lying in bed and I felt my cat jump up on the bed and curl up in his favorite spot that he always sleeps in between my apart ankles on the edge of the bed. Naturally I thought nothing of it as it was a nightly occurrence. That was until about a half an hour later that something else jumped up on my bed. I Instantly craned my neck backwards to see Nike who was just staring at the indent in the blankets since clearly he couldn’t go to lay down in his favorite spot because something was already there!! - Kyla Crush

Huge 'Pterosaur' Observed at the Vermilion River in Danville, Illinois

I recently received a telephone call from an eyewitness ('DF') who was referred to me by an associate.

In the spring of 2013, DF was on his property at the end of Ave. F near the Vermilion River in Danville, Illinois. It was around 4pm on a warm sunny afternoon. The property extended back to the edge of the river. DF was busy clearing brush and trees on the bluff overlooking the river. Many times he would ride his ATV to the location, then sit and watch a variety of wildlife along a game trail. There was also a dock on the property.

On this particular day, DF was taking a break from his work. After a while, he noticed that the regular sound of birds had suddenly stopped and it became usually quiet. DF said that he has always been very quick to pick-up on movement, since he has ridden a motorcycle everywhere he went, and needed to be aware of his surroundings.

As he stood on the bluff looking out onto the river, he noticed a large shadowy figure gliding downstream towards him. As it got closer, the bizarre creature became more defined. He observed, what he described, a 'pterodactyl' gliding about 4-5 feet above the surface of the river. DF estimated that the wingspan was approximately 25 feet, as it covered half the width of the river. The huge flying being looked exactly like the images of the prehistoric flying dinosaur. Long beak with a long ray on the head. Dark gray leathery-skinned body and wings, with a long tail that flattened on the end. It made little sound, but cast a shadow on the river as it flew just below the height of the bluff. The water swirled as it glided past. The beast continued gliding downstream until DF lost sight of it. He stated that it never flapped its wings. DF's first reaction was to get back to his house and tell his wife what he had seen.

Over the years, he mentioned the sighting to a few close friends, but it never went beyond that. He moved from the location about a year later.

NOTE: I was impressed by DF's demeanor and description. He stated that he has never witnessed anything unusual before or since that day. Historically, much of Illinois is known for flying cryptids sightings.WHile investigating the Chicago winged humanoid reports, our team also received a variety of flying cryptids sightings as well...including pterosaurs and large-winged birds. 'Glimmering Man' Along the Highway

I am 40 years old and my name is Daniel Velazquez. I am construction worker in Seattle, Washington. This is the first time that I have contacted your show. I had to respond to the 'Glimmering Man' episode. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to tune in to this week's show. I want to share with you my own experience with the "Predator" or as y'all have named it the "Glimmering Man". Until now, I thought that maybe I was going crazy. This is the first and only experience that I have ever had with anything paranormal or other wordly. It was a very brief encounter but I know what I saw and this has made me question everything that I know. I am a Christian and that has been my upbringing. Okay, let me explain what happened.

This was in late August this year 2018. I was riding in the passenger seat in our work truck with my boss driving and another worker sitting in the back. We were on our way to a job site in Seattle and we were exiting the I-5 freeway which is the main interstate between Canada down to Mexico. As we were exiting the freeway, I was just sitting back in my seat and as I looked to the right I seen this "Predator" figure moving to it's right. I jumped up in my seat and said to my boss "Oh my God do you see that? Look"! I was absolutely stunned! There was a little outcropping of trees and beyond that there were 3-4 homeless people just going about their business. They seemed to be clueless about the "figure" that was walking about 20 yards in front of them. I was absolutely shocked and did not know what to say or do. I only saw the figure for about 4 or 5 seconds and when I turned to my boss to ask if he is seeing this and then turned back to where I saw the figure, it was gone or I lost sight of it. It was exactly like the "predator" figure in the movie..not the alien form but the cloaked version. In my 40 years I have never seen anything like that! My wife is the only person that I have told because I don't want people to think that I am crazy. So I was so glad to hear your show about the "Glimmering Man".

You mentioned that you had 15-20 other people or stories about the same thing. Please do a follow-up on this story! It is somewhat comforting to know that there have been other sightings and that I am not crazy. Also, have there been any similar sightings in the Seattle or Washington State area?
