Unexplained 'Otherworldly' Encounters

Possible Abduction

Evansville, Indiana - 2002-06-06: So in the summer of 2002 my girlfriend and I were sleeping in my room. I stayed with my parents at the time. Their home was in the country and had ceiling windows all throughout the home. Around 2am, my girlfriend wakes up screaming and very scared. Immediately I had to cover my ears and my eyes. A beeping/buzzing sound was coming from above our home, however it was the light that made it unable to see. The light filled my parents 4000 square foot home like it was the middle of the day. I was blinded by the light and so was my girlfriend. We couldn’t see anything and heard a very very loud beeping sound and kinda buzzing as well. Now I was scared like never before. She was freaking out more.

I told her to stay in the bedroom and I was going to check on my parents. She refused to leave me. The sound and the lights were very very intense. As I made it to my parent's bedroom on the first floor (without a ceiling window). I yelled in and woke them up. I said 'mom, dad are you hearing and seeing this?' At about that time standing in the door the lights were gone and the sounds also. They were gone in a split second. I went back upstairs and we spoke about it for about an hour asking what in the world it could have been.

One evening here recently I had a dream that on that evening I floated out of my window and it was during that time that my girlfriend woke me up. I guess I never reported it because it was too strange to report. I am not sure if I was actually abducted or not but the image of me floating through my window seems pretty real. That is the only memory I have. - MUFON

Aliens in the Forest

Olympia, Washington - 2019-01-28: I was driving through a heavily wooded area approx 30 minutes from West Olympia. I heard gibberish and a loud yell. I stopped my car and took a picture at the base of a drop off. There were 3 beings. 1 in a small triangular ship, 1 next to the ship and one near a tree to the right. There was also two dead deer. They saw me so I jumped back in my car and drove away.

There is no road access to where they were. There was a tall grey on the right. A tall reptilian-like one in the craft. He had a helmet on and one next to the craft with a big white-colored head and long neck. He was wearing a blue astronaut/suit. It appeared to have a smaller being or human in the back seat strapped in. This was very real and scary. - MUFON

'Glitching' Entity

Bolivar, Missouri - 2019-01-23 - 01:55: Honestly sounds ridiculous but I had an overwhelming feeling of being "watched", and peered out my front door blinds and saw these strange glowing lights in the field just past my front yard. One was vivid green, one whitish, then three were smaller and red, and all seemed to be floating, or hovering around, but it was like they were there wanting me to see them yet at safe enough distance to really identify them. Then at the 2:20 mark of the video a grey 4 ft entity shows up even closer and just stands there staring at me! He stood at the fence dividing my front yard from the field where the others were. I filmed it for a while, got creeped out, and alerted a family member to come see, but they had already left. Also I'd like to include the grey seemed to be interdimensional, like he was glitching. Video isn't the greatest but it was pretty profound to witness. (No video was attached) - MUFON

Bigfoot Spotted / Photographed Near Trinity, Texas

I received a telephone call from SB, who had just encountered a large hairy being at a pond near Trinity, Texas. The call came in on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 3:07 PM ET (2:07 PM CT local time).

SB stated that he and a companion were at a local pond, scouting a future hunting location. The area is well-known for upland game. The area around the pond is very marshy, with a thick mesquite stand surrounding the opposite side.

As the pair walked towards the pond, SB noticed movement in the trees. A 7-8 ft. hairy being stepped out from behind a large tree, and began to sway back and forth approximately 40 yards away. The being seemed to be taunting the observers, though there was no sound. SB said that it had a very broad body and that the hair color blended in with the mesquite trees.

SB and his companion realized that they didn't have their phones with them, so they immediately went back to their truck. While in the truck, SB searched Google in order to make a report and then contacted me. He told me that he had seen the Bigfoot only 20 minutes earlier, and that they were going to go back towards the woods. I asked him to stay in contact.

Approximately 10 minutes later SB called back and stated that they had gotten within 30 paces (he later stepped off the distance) of the Bigfoot. He was very excited and said that his companion had gone further into the woods to try a get a photograph. 15 minutes later, I received the unretouched photo posted below. SB called and said that this was the clearest photo that they could obtain at a distance of 50 yards or so.

SB said that they were surprised that they had these multiple encounters because the area was often-used for hunting and that they had not heard of any previous sightings of a Bigfoot. The pair plan to continue observing the area in order to gather further evidence. Lon

Did I Encounter A Vampire?

I recently came across the following account:

Two days ago I was with my friends at a party, everything ok and boring for me because I cannot drink alcohol because I have stomach problems. Nevertheless we had some fun, left the party early and went to a friend's house to chill. After a couple of minutes I heard some of his friends came in to join us; several hours passed and because it was getting very late I wanted to leave for home, Some friends of his decided to take me home in the car and before we reached the car we saw several men out in front of car, many who looked drunk but I wasn't expecting any kind of trouble.

As I walked passed the car to get to the back seat, waiting for the owner to let me in a man approached from that group and told him to get inside the house because he was needed by someone. It appeared to me the owner knew this guy because he did exactly that, without opening the car or telling me anything. I just stood there for a couple of seconds then decided to walk back in the house to see if he's still willing to take me home or I should go on my own. (I had my driver license suspended due to an accident few years ago). I went in the house, and said goodbye again to some friends while I was thinking of my journey home, because the public transport at that hour doesn't run (about 4:00 AM).

I live in eastern Europe by the way. I don't know if in USA the public transport system differs but in that same time a man that was outside apparently walks in the house with two more guys and it caught my attention. He had a medium brown/darkish hair, slim with loose clothes, very common looking actually but that wasn't the thing that caught my attention. When he entered the house I just had a strong feeling coming from him that I cannot describe that well. He looked at me, he had dark-brown glassy eyes. I didn't say anything but then he started to move around, even the two guys that went with him and that's when I realized his movements were so unnatural or weird. It seemed like he was going backwards, his arms were behind his body as he moved. The feeling I had was not fear though, like you would be scared of the unknown like ghosts, demons, the dark, a horror movie. etc. This was a feeling I had a few times when someone died or saw something very graphic and gore related. I swear I could feel it in my brain. It was the same feeling I had when I watched someone years ago falling off the stairs with blood running from his ears. It was not fear but like the brain rewiring itself somehow.

He looked at me intensely which seemed at that time a very long period and I couldn't move. I now remember opening my mouth halfway and just staring back at him, eyes wide open and fixating my vision at him but didn't wanted to make contact with his eyes. Subconsciously, I think I told myself not to look for some reason. He never spoke a word and no one else engaged him. He went straight for the door after making these rounds inside the house and for a second he stood under the door entrance and turned his head again to look at me. He was pale white and in a way evoked the same feeling in me as before. He left. I tried to gather myself, trying to convince myself that there was nothing wrong. I left my friend's house for home.

I forgot about the whole thing while outside. It was freezing. I was walking in the snow, feeling sleepy and tired until I saw him again near a closed travel agency building. He was ahead of me leaning against the glass walls. He didn't seem to notice me but I knew then that it was him! I switched sides on the sidewalk to get some distance and with one eye looking over in his direction. He noticed me halfway and smiled. I couldn't see his face better because of the snow and distance but I noticed his mouth was deep red, almost bloody. I picked up the pace, worrying that he might follow...but he stood his ground. Shortly after I was out of range and on my way home.

I tend to smoke a lot, I had this irrational fear when I got home and lit up a cigarette with my window open that someone might come in. I was thinking of him specifically, though I live in an apartment at the fifteenth floor. Nothing happened of course and I went to sleep.

While writing this, I remember vividly the same feeling I had when I encountered this man and I can't shake it! Somehow I get a mental image and visualize this man as I did back then, somehow not human and yet human enough not to be afraid in a way I would be of the deep supernatural. I guess only one word came to my mind when I think of him, a sort of vampire though strangely enough it's not from any book of fiction or myth I know of. I keep sensing him like that. I don't know why. I could tell myself that this nothing out of the ordinary but the experience and the feelings I went through were anything but ordinary. I have keep in mind that. I can't ignore them and subconsciously I give them credence. PH

Unknown Winged Cryptid Near Baltimore, MD

I recently received the following account:

I live in the greater Baltimore area of Maryland. In a suburb in the woods near an early colonial settlement. I have experienced multiple phenomena that I cannot explain. Things I can only describe as cryptids. I hope you find what you are looking for in my stories.

Regarding a bat-like creature, what I saw did not look like a bat, but it was large and had wings. It was very late on a summer night and I was 18 or so. I had just gotten into an argument with my girlfriend and was sitting on my porch smoking a cigarette. In front of my porch was my short driveway that led to the street. This is a newer neighborhood and fairly well lit. I saw what can only be described as the silhouette of a large winged creature. The wingspan was at least 6 feet wide if not more. But I saw no body. No torso, no wings in the true sense. It was almost like a shadow of a large crane's skeleton. I know that doesn't make sense but that is how it appeared to me. The wings were but a thin projection like the bones of a bird's wings. There was no skin flap like in bats or feathers like a bird. The rest of the body was similar, more like the suggestion of a body in this shadow form. The way it moved is was truly terrified me. There was...an other worldliness to how it moved.

I am an avid outdoorsman. I have seen cranes, geese, swans, hawks etc hundreds of times during hikes and camping trips. I have never seen an animal move in this way. It glided with a grace, a timelessness even, that I don't think a physical animal could manage. I was horrified. I ran down my driveway (it had flown directly overhead towards the street) but I did not see it again. I called my girlfriend crying. I was absolutely terrified. Alex

Terrifying Alien Abduction

Georgia - 2003-03-15 - 03:00: I was 13 years of age approximately, sometime during 2003. I was in my home and had fallen asleep in my bedroom on a night before attending school at Sophia Academy off of Mt. Vernon Hwy in Sandy Springs, Georgia during sixth grade. I woke up when my alarm went off as usual and began to get into the shower as normal. I was pensive in thought and had a hard time remembering my sleep as I was entering the shower. I stepped in and started showering and noticed a rough feeling underneath my left foot as I was washing my feet. I noticed a symmetrical pattern of dot-shaped puncture marks in a perfect circle similar to a picture I noticed online I am willing to attach. I instantly had flashbacks of what just occurred to me while I was asleep. At that point I realized everything that happened to me included a violation of my personal rights and a seemingly near death experience. The marking under my foot was an indicator a sample of my blood may have been taken by these beings when I was awoken. There was a sharp stinging sensation right under my foot that woke me up. My vision was very blurry initially as I began to open my eyes and sit up to feel what it was that hurt my foot.

As I was opening my eyes, I sat up on what appeared to be a large aluminum table to 4 large Reptilian greys (7-9 feet tall) standing by the edge of the table by my feet. As I sat up, I noticed all of their eyes began to open wider, and their mouths began to open up and let out a horrifying sound. There was an extremely high pitched shrieking sound and they threw their hands up in the air and were flailing backwards away from me as if they were going to fall over. I then got extremely tired and couldn't sit up very well and laid back down on the table to turn my head to the left. I remember just turning my head and praying to God (saying God help me, Lord Jesus help me) because I was terrified and didn't want those beings any closer to me and was afraid of swallowing them or getting devoured and/or ripped apart. I just turned my head as I laid down and prayed to God to protect me and asked him to ransom me from this stressful situation. As I laid back down, I do not recall ever getting back up or waking back up until I found my alarm going off and started getting ready for school. It was right after I woke up and I was in the shower that I noticed what had happened to me. - MUFON

Did We Encounter a Werewolf?

The following account was originally posted on 1/21/19:

This encounter happened last night while I [32] was hiking with my husband [32] and son [8].

We went hiking to this spot in south Cali where we’ve been going for the last 13 yrs. The hiking trails are basically located all along the cliff. Some trails lead to a secluded beach, others lead to a cave.

We took the trail that leads to the beach and we usually keep walking longer than the average person since we are more familiar with the terrain after the trail ends. Around 4:30pm we decided to hike back up the trail while watching the sunset, at the same time the moon was rising on the opposite direction. This moon was huge, probably one of the biggest moons I’ve seen here. This is where we took some pics.

We decided once we got back to the top of the trail around 5:30ish pm to keep hiking along some other trail which we’ve only been once to. The night was still young and plenty of families were walking among this trail. I decided to take a quick break after a short jog to enjoy the scenery and appreciate the moon. At this time my husband and son where pretty far from me and all I could see was their silhouette.

The night was now upon us and the fog from the Pacific Ocean was making its way up the cliff into the hiking trails. My husband and son decided to turn back and meet me because it was getting dark. My son began to run past us. At this point, my husband looks towards his direction and sees this black silhouette of a tall person standing about 9 meters from my son. As soon as this thing notices that my husband it’s looking at it, it gets on all fours and takes off like an animal. He yells for my son to come back. He then tells me what he saw and says something is running across the trail. I am scared of dogs so first thing I thought was a stray dog running loose. He says, “No, it is bigger than a dog. Almost like the size of a bear but it had the silhouette of a man standing in the middle of the trail and it took off on all fours as soon as I looked at it”. He said this thing was darker than the dark around us.

At this point we were freaking the f*ck out. We were hugging each other close not knowing what to expect next. We were basically in the middle of a trail we’ve only been once with sh*tty phone service. We looked around and the trail was completely empty with no one to be seen. We were basically the only ones there. That trail went from being packed with people to now us three being the only ones there within minutes. Which made everything even more terrifying.

We decided to suck it up and walk back to our car which meant we had to pass by where my husband saw this thing on the trail. My husband said he thought he saw this humanoid run down the trail but once we got to that spot where he saw it, the trail turned right but the figure ran left. To the left was a fence and a bunch of tall bushes making it impossible for something to go that way. Whatever it was would have had to jump the fence to keep going the way it went. We never saw/heard it jump the fence and better yet we didn’t even hear its footsteps or anything moving in the bushes. My husband said it just disappeared.

We managed to keep walking along the trail while holding his phone flashlight pointed at the fence and bushes were he saw it go towards to. All I had was my water bottle and I was ready to use it as a weapon. All we could hope for at this time was to see other people along the trail.

Then we finally see lights coming from a motorbike towards the end of the trail. This person was going into the trail as we were relieved to be out of it and into the parking lot. When we finally got to the parking lot, it went from 50 cars to only two cars left. There was this couple outside taking pics. At this point even the person in the motorbike noped back out of this trail back to the parking lot and left.

As we made our way back to our car I kinda joked with my husband how he might’ve seen a werewolf. He was still in shock and didn’t say no but he was still trying to process what he saw. My son said he saw something crawling and that’s when my husband called him to come back towards us. He was really scared that night and refused to sleep by himself. We all slept in the same room. My son said he felt like it was following us the whole time home. I hope not.

Today we ended up watching this segment on the news by accident while having dinner and we heard that today is a Super Blood Wolf Moon. Now I am 90% convinced he saw a werewolf.

This location is notorious for many deaths as it is on a cliff where many have died from falling over or drowned. When we went there for the first time, there was was a sign around about a person who fell off the cliff. MF

Large Flying Humanoid Observed Near Prairie Creek Reservoir, Indiana

I received a telephone call from an eyewitness on Wednesday, January 23, 2019:

TH and his wife were traveling southbound on a county road, about a mile south of the Prairie Creek Reservoir near Muncie, Indiana. The date was December 26, 2018 at dusk. A huge flying object caught TH's attention.

TH is a military veteran, hunter, trapper and farmer who lives in the immediate area. His knowledge of military flying craft, wildlife and his keen sense of observance was apparent while I talked to him. The winged being that he was observing was unlike anything he had ever seen before. The creature was flying just above treetop level and was easily visible to the witness. His reaction was to slam on his brakes in wonderment, exclaiming to his wife 'do you see that?' His wife was shaken by the sudden stop and was unable to react fast enough to see the winged being.

TH stated that the being was humanoid in shape with an obvious 'face.' The body had a length of approximately 6-7 feet, with bat-like wings that were extremely wide. The being was dark-colored, and seemed to glide at a steady speed. He never noticed the flapping of wings while watching the creature.

TH's wife states that TH has been truly affected by the incident and has constantly mentioned it to her, in an attempt to explain what this winged being really was. He had refused to mention the incident outside of his family. When TH read about the recent sightings in Gary, Indiana, he called his wife from his job and asked her to contact me right away. He later called me when he got home. This witness was very forthcoming and anxious to find out what this creature was.

The Phantoms & Monsters Fortean Research team will continue to investigate this sighting and all other related sightings around the Lake Michigan area, as well as all winged humanoid accounts reported to us throughout the world. Lon

Face in the Fire

Kay from Fairbanks, Alaska called in to tell of a bizarre experience she had:

“In 1957, my two brothers and I and my mother were living in Rosales, in Mexico. We lived in what we call the English Lady's House. A woman had rented it to us and she was in San Francisco and I had the room at the end of the house. It was in a big L shape. And I had a fireplace and I loved that fireplace. And I loved my little room.

One morning, in the middle of November, I woke up and I don't know how long I'd been awake. I was looking into the fire and I saw faces and I was so cold. I was colder than I had ever been in my life even though I was next to a fireplace and I just kept getting colder and colder and I could not move. And I saw shapes in the fireplace, in the fire and faces. Then I saw a face and a hand came out and it said, 'Come!' I got up and somehow I fell on the floor and crawled over near it and I couldn’t move. I couldn't get over to the fireplace. (Noory asks why she didn't go the other way) Because my brain was numb and I was on obedience mode. I felt I couldn't resist. I felt I had to do what the hand told me to. It was motioning, 'Come. Come. You'll be safe here.' And I started to listen to it. I couldn’t get over to it because my legs wouldn't work. One leg could work and finally I got up near the door and for some reason I did not go into the fire. I got outside and then my head hurt a little bit but I was still so cold. And I looked back and there was the face still. And there was a black face there. I struggled away.

Finally my brain began to operate. I struggled away and crawled by the swimming pool but I was still so very cold. This was about 80 degrees and the mangos were falling. I went through the mangos. And I kept looking back and I thought, No, I’m not going back. I was numb. My brain was numb. (George asks about the face she saw) It was black and there had been killings in the 1500s by the conquistadors. With helmets and the Indians built the church. There had been much murder about and it looked like a man with maybe a helmet or something but he as not a happy man and he wanted more to join him.”

Aliens in the Neighbor's Yard

Goshen, Indiana - 2018-04-30 - 02:05: I saw two beings about 5 to 5.6 feet tall. They were bony structured in the shape of people with large heads, skinny everywhere but they had muscles on their arms. I got a real good look at them from the dark but the one kept pacing back and forth like he was nervous and the other one kept looking out deep while standing completely still for a couple minutes at a time. I kept getting this sense like he knew somebody was looking at him but he never turned exactly at me to see me even though I felt he knew someone was looking at him. His buddy kept pacing back and forth and saying something to him because I could see his mouth talking and his head moving then he would turn around and walk a few feet away and come back again. They were both outside of a neighbor's house in the front yard and I was in an enclosed porch watching them being real quiet. Funny thing about it was that it was pretty cold outside and I was cold even with my jacket on yet they were naked! That tripped me out and the other thing was that they were both a mix between brown and orange but more of a flat chalky tannish darker orange. I remember their bony shoulders and the sharp looking bones on their sternum plates. They were close enough to me that I could see the nervous one's mouth talking to the one that kept looking deep. I kept trying to figure out what they were doing and to the best was that they were guarding the front of this lit up square door that the nervous one kept walking back and forth too. It started to come to an end when this big yellow round ball started getting smaller and the nervous one headed towards it and I lost sight of him. Then the other one that looked out deep the whole time turned slowly but like was still being cautious about something and started walking around a bit then went straight back to this white doorway and disappeared then the yellow ball seemed to get smaller and was gone. - MUFON

Eyewitness Reports 2016 Pterosaur Sighting in Gary, Indiana

I received the following report by email today (Wednesday, January 23rd). I followed-up with a telephone call:

Sir, I had the experience of seeing this big grayish prehistoric bird. It was 7:40 in the morning on a clear sunny day. I was driving down Broadway in Gary, right across from the gas station right before you get on the exit going I-65 South. I was shocked wandering why no one else notice this creature. It didn't have a man face. The beak was pointy, the wings were really long. The wings did not flap. The creature flew low enough for me to just look up, and there it was.

At first I thought that I was crazy, so I waited a couple of days before I told my husband. I don't drink, or do drugs, so I know what I saw.

After a couple of weeks, I saw it again in the same area, but not the same spot. Also this one was the same but smaller. It did not look like a bat, or a owl. So I googled prehistoric birds, and there I saw the best picture to describe what I saw. After that I looked up at the sky often, but hadn't seen it again. I also thought about reporting it, but people of course would think that I was crazy. It came to me that woody, dense areas is where they hide. PC

NOTE: I called PC immediately after receiving her email. She gave me the exact location of the sighting, an area near a gas station that once had a fairly thick grove of trees in the vicinity. The trees have since been cleared. This is in the area of W 37th Ave eastbound between Broadway and I-65.

This sighting occurred in the late spring / early summer of 2016. PC had just taken her children to school and saw the creature on her way home. She stated that the creature was quite large...the body was approximately the length of a van and the wings had a width at least double the length. PC is positive that this was a Pterosaur-like being, after looking for an example online.

A few days later, her friend also observed this creature. Her husband witnessed a similar creature several weeks later. I'm sure that other residents in the area were aware of the presence of these creatures at the time, but were fearful of reporting their sightings.

PC's husband's friend told him about the recent Gary, Indiana sightings, and she decided to contact me. I'm not discounting that this may have been a remote controlled device...though the size and the general socio-economic area is puzzling, if that is the case. My team is following up on this incident, along with all previous and subsequent encounters. Lon

There were many strange events reported from Pennsylvania during 2018. UFO sightings, Bigfoot encounters, strange creature sightings, thunderbird reports, mystery booms, strange footprints and vocalizations, and various paranormal accounts were among the anomalies reported.

Throughout 2018, residents of Pennsylvania reported strange sounds or saw evidence that Bigfoot may have been prowling in their area. There were also numerous reports of witnesses encountering these mysterious hair covered bipedal creatures. During the winter months, people from various locations reported seeing strange footprints, some with very wide strides between the tracks. While many of the reports originated from southwestern areas of the state, other reports came from locations in the north and east as well. Bigfoot sightings are not new to Pennsylvania. They have been a part of the historical lore of the state for many years.

My research into the UFO and Bigfoot phenomena began in 1959 when I was 10 years old. I began in the field investigations of these anomalies after the Kecksburg incident in 1965. I have been taking calls from the public concerning these reports since 1969. The 2019 year will mark 60 years of my research into UFOs, Bigfoot, and other phenomena. I still have never had a personal encounter with a UFO or Bigfoot after all of these years of investigation.

It became apparent soon after my investigations began that many of the strange observations reported could be explained with proper research. Many UFO sightings were misidentifications of natural or manmade sources, and some Bigfoot sightings were explained by various sources such as bear, large shaggy dogs, or hunters in camouflage.

In the past, there have been annual reports of both UFOs and cryptids, and various other strange encounters from credible eyewitnesses that could not be so easily dismissed. Witnesses to these various phenomena come from all walks of life including men, women, and children. Some were educators, engineers, police officers, hunters, and pilots. They had nothing to gain by reporting these accounts, and most want no publicity.

UFO sightings were reported throughout the 2018 year. Some of the sightings were explained as bright meteors, sky lanterns, and planets. Other sightings were more interesting. There were reports of large triangular, cigar, spherical, saucer, and rectangular shaped objects observed from various areas.

Bigfoot-Among the many people I interviewed were numerous Bigfoot witnesses that encountered these creatures during 2018. I also received detailed information from friends and relatives of other people who allegedly observed these creatures, but were reluctant to report what they saw for various reasons.

Cryptids-Reports of various unusual creatures continued to be reported from across the commonwealth. Sightings of huge flying creatures commonly referred to as “Thunderbirds” continued to be reported statewide as well as from along the Chestnut Ridge area. I heard accounts of large cat sightings (black panthers and mountain lions) and creatures somewhat similar to Bigfoot but with more wolf-like faces that have become known nationally as “Dogmen”. Various other mysterious creatures were also reported.

The following is a synopsis of some of the interesting reports that came to my attention during 2018:

January-North Huntingdon, PA-A family noticed a series of 16 inch long footprints with a 4 to 5 feet stride between each track in the fresh snow. The trail of footprints extended about 70 feet across their yard then just suddenly ended without explanation.

January- a number of independent incidents were reported on different dates from various widespread locations concerning mystery booms that reportedly shook houses in some areas. Throughout the year, I continued to receive similar reports from various counties in the state. In some cases, residents over widespread areas heard and felt something that concerned them. These mystery booms that have been reported for many years from across the country and in Pennsylvania, appeared to increase during 2018. In some cases there have been explanations such as sonic booms, frost quakes and Tannerite, in other instances they remain a mystery.

February-During the early morning hours in a rural area outside of New Alexandria, a witness observed an 8 feet tall, skinny figure with a round head and very long legs running very fast across a field. The creature took one step and crossed over a high fence then continued to run off in the distance. Since 2017, there have been a number of similar reports of a tall, skinny humanoid creature observed by different people in Westmoreland and Allegheny counties.

February-Worthington, PA-strange clawed footprints observed in the snow. There has been an increase of what appear to be odd clawed tracks reported in Pennsylvania and across the country in recent years.

These tracks do not appear to be related to dog or cat tracks. There is no doubt that some weather and ground conditions can make normal tracks appear to be unusual.

February-A motorist driving near the PA/W. Va. border outside of Morgantown observed a strange “something” cross the highway about 10 car lengths away. The creature was hard to describe but it was about the size of a deer, smooth with no hair, and was the color of a creamsickle. The witness said you couldn’t miss it as the color really stood out from the surroundings. It was oval shaped and seemed to be running however no visible legs or other appendages were visible. Whatever it was, it was estimated to be about 5 feet long and about 4-5 feet high.

May-The incident took place outside of Waynesburg, PA-That afternoon, the witness was looking out a window as a storm was approaching. A dark hat shaped saucer like object approached from the southwest then banked less than a hundred feet over the neighbor’s house. The object continued on and was out of sight in a matter of seconds. The object was estimated to be about 20-25 feet long and about 8-10 feet high. There was no sound and no lights or windows were observed. Two days later, only miles away near the Washington/Greene county border, a Bigfoot was reportedly observed by some motorists.

May-I began receiving reports from many different areas from local residents who reported loud screams and howls unlike anything they were familiar with. These reports continued throughout the year and increased during the summer. Some of the people I interviewed and visited with were experienced outdoorsmen and hunters. From some locations, these people reported that moments after the loud unknown vocalizations, all of the nature sounds in the area suddenly went quiet. Others reported the sound of trees breaking and seeing odd tree damage in their location.

At one location in Westmoreland County where screams and other activity was reported, a large depressed area of grass was found that was unlike a deer laying area. Large footprints were reported on the Derry side of the Chestnut Ridge an area with a long history of Bigfoot encounters.

September- Cambria County-During September of 2018, a number of UFO sighting reports originated from observers from locations between Johnstown and Ebensburg. Many of the reports were of unusual lights in the sky, and what was observed was not typical of navigational lighting on aircraft. A witness reported an object that hovered in place, than moments later would quickly jet across the sky to another location.

Other people in the area reportedly observed a V shaped object with three separated lights. A photograph taken by a local resident is similar to what was reported.

On another occasion, during daylight hours, an object that looked like a metallic sphere was observed making unusual maneuvers in the sky. While under observation, the object seemed to suddenly vanish within seconds, as though to become invisible. At that point, the witness could see the outline of the object and could see through it. While this was occurring, the object was zig-zagging to different locations in the sky at a very fast pace.

In mid-September, during the early morning another witness taking a walk near Colver, PA, observed a white oval shaped object moving slowly across the sky that vanished into the clouds. The object wasn’t seen again.

September-Derry Township-Westmoreland County-A man was riding down a rural road in Derry Township in Westmoreland County. It was a rainy night when his headlights caught something about 75 feet ahead of him that seemed to “appear out of nowhere.” Whatever it was, it was in the middle of the road and moving from left to right. What he saw was a humanoid form that was foggy or misty in appearance. The man stated that it was a “foggy white form” that was about 6 ½ to 7 feet tall. The creature seemed to be somewhat stooped as it moved. The physical traits that stood out to the witness were the huge muscular shoulders and a small waist. The creature crossed the road and entered into a field where it seemed to just vanish.

October-A person was taking a walk on the Derry side of the Chestnut Ridge. What sounded like loud knocks on a tree were heard as the witness approached the tree line. About 20 feet away the observer saw a dark tree trunk. The witness saw a 7 feet tall humanoid creature with long black hair hugging the tree trunk as though trying to camouflage itself. The creature had its cheek against the tree and was staring directly at the witness. The witness was able to give a detailed physical description of the creature. The witness was very familiar with the bear in the area and was certain that was not what was seen. This creature had no muzzle, appeared to be tall and thin, and the eyes were dark and unusual looking.

November-On a dark rainy night, a man was traveling on a rural road in the Mon Valley area outside of Pittsburgh when he noticed in his headlights something standing on his side of the road. As he slowly approached, a 7 feet tall shaggy creature stepped out on the road. The creature stopped 5 feet from the witness and stared at him with luminous red eyes. It then turned and with long strides ran up a hill and was out of sight in seconds.

The shaken witness was able to provide a very detailed description of the creature which he said was very muscular and had massive shoulders. It also had very long arms and legs, and the hands were larger than that of a human. The next day, the area of the encounter was searched but due to a soaking rain and leaves covering the ground, no evidence was apparent. There has been a long history of Bigfoot reports in the Mon Valley.

In late November—Motorists in two cars traveling between Greensburg and Delmont observed an 8 foot tall creature standing in the middle of the highway. In early December near Hannastown during the afternoon, a witness noticed a 7-8 feet tall, broad shouldered creature standing on top of a hill and later walking through a field.

2nd Winged Humanoid Observed in Gary, Indiana

On Monday, January 22, 2019, I received a text message from a resident in Gary, Indiana. I called the witness, RH, to discuss his observations.

RH states that his family had been on their front porch one evening in late September 2018. This was on the 300 block of E. 43rd Ave. in Gary, Indiana. Across the street was a small lot with several tall trees. It was a clear night and the moon backlit the grove of trees.

RH's brother or father noticed a large winged being flying near the top of one of the trees, and made the rest of the family aware of the being. The children were taken back into the house. RH, his brother and father continued to observe the winged humanoid...which was described as having a body of 4-5 ft in length. The wingspan was approximately 10-12 ft, but could have been larger. The entire body and wings were dark in color.

RH stated that body reminded him of a 'large monkey' in shape. The wings were bat-like and reflected in the moonlight. All the witnesses heard a 'whooshing' sound when the being flapped it's huge wings.

The winged being flew into the trees and disappeared.

RH's brother contacted him when he saw my post of the recent winged humanoid sighting in Gary, Indiana. They had not told anyone else outside of the family. At that point, RH texted me.

The Phantoms & Monsters Fortean Research team will continue to investigate this sighting and all other related sightings around the Lake Michigan area, as well as all winged humanoid accounts reported to us throughout the world. Lon
