BLACK, FURRY APE-LIKE CREATURE Seen Near Ames, Iowa

Two Iowa brothers observe a puzzling black, furry creature that looks and moves like a gorilla or ape. After a decade, the witness still has no idea what they witnessed.

I received the following account:

"In 2014, when my brother and I were in central Iowa, near Ames, we were coming back from a movie. It was Autumn and a generally cold night with good visibility.

As soon as we parked the SUV, we went into his apartment. His window overlooked the parking lot and we were both looking to make sure the headlights were off etc.

Lo and behold, here comes something, to this date, neither he nor I have identified. It was black, had bear-like fur and I would say was the size of a gorilla. Oddly enough, this animal was fast and its motion was using its two large arms to propel its body where its legs were in a seated lotus-like position.

Both he and I just saw it and we were transfixed as it disappeared into the adjacent woods.

Both he and I have tried to see whether it was a dog, bear, or some other creature? But it's the locomotion of the animal which was mainly like a large ape, which to this date is totally mysterious to us.

I'm a scientist by training and to this date, we don't know. We only saw it that one time and unfortunately the parking lot was fine gravel so we didn't see any prints or fur/hair.

Does anyone see this type of thing? And yes, besides popcorn, we were both stone-cold sober, and alert." S

My Haunting MALVERN MANOR Experience!

A couple happened to be looking for a house to purchase when they came across the infamous Malvern Manor in Iowa. The experiencer will never forget what followed.

I received the following account:

"In the spring of 2011, my wife and I went to look at a house for sale in Malvern, a small town in southwestern Iowa. It was an old mansion the town banker had built way back in the day. It didn’t give off creepy vibes but it didn’t appeal to me at all, despite its price of $199,000. It also needed a lot of work. It was a large house with way more space than two people with no kids (and no plans to have kids either) would ever need. The odd thing was it had a vault room buried in the yard with a tunnel that connected to it from the tiny basement boiler room. There was supposedly a large safe in it. The door to the tunnel was screwed shut and the owners said they had never gone in there. You could see the vault room from outside because there was a small hump/hill in the yard.

For the next two weeks, I had horrific nightmares about that house. Which I found odd considering I had no reason to fear it. I don’t remember details but they were the scariest nightmares I’ve ever had.

My wife and I divorced that fall.

Fast forward to the summer of 2020, I’m having 6’ social distancing beers in a driveway with friends and I’m telling them this story. Don’t recall why it came up. Well, the following morning I’m nursing my hangover and flipping through Amazon Prime and I see there’s a paranormal documentary about that house, Malvern Manor. I felt immediately flushed with fear and had goosebumps for half an hour.

I’ve not watched the documentary but friends that have, told me there’s no mention of that tunnel or vault room.

This isn’t the scariest thing I’ve ever heard but it’s the scariest thing I’ve experienced, and the closest thing to anything paranormal as well." S

UPRIGHT, STINKING, 'NOT DEER' Encountered in Sullivan County, Indiana

Indiana teen boy encounters an awful-smelling 13-foot-tall white-tailed deer standing and walking like a human in the woods near his home!

The following account was forwarded to me by my friends & colleagues Kyle & Cam at Expanded Perspectives:

"The encounter I had didn’t last very long, but I will never forget it. Let’s get into it, shall we? I grew up in a small town of about 4,000 in Sullivan County, Indiana. I lived in the country, outside of the city limits with my parents and two older sisters. We lived on about 20 acres. Half being open fields, and the other half wooded. The wooded ten acres were full of wildlife. Deer, rabbits, coyotes, skunks, squirrels, and turkeys all lived or made their way through the area frequently. Not much around, but nature. You get the idea. Growing up there was paradise. My best friend Josh who lives about 3 miles down the road would ride his bike down to my house, and we would spend hours in the woods exploring and swimming in the creek. We hunted and explored those woods every chance we got.

One day when we were about 13 years old he showed up at my house, but not on a bicycle. No sir, he had a YZ80 2-stroke dirt bike. For the next several days he would come by and we would take turns running the hell out of that old 2 popper. Cutting trails through the woods and finding natural launching points in the field. So, naturally, the next step was for me to grind my parents down and convince them to get me something to ride as well. After a few months, they agreed to purchase me a little 4-wheeler. Now they didn’t just give it to me. It was summertime, and there was a lot of work to do to maintain the property. So, they would wake me up when they went to work, and leave me a list of chores to get done before they came home. This is how I paid them back for my “new to me” ragged-out 4-wheeler.

My buddy Josh and I had noticed that there seemed to be a lot less wildlife around. At least not as many turkeys, rabbits, and squirrels as we were accustomed to running across. We just wrote this off to it because we had turned a once peaceful place into the junior Evil Knievel motocross track. One day around 12 o’clock I happened to be riding alone when I was supposed to be doing my chores. Now, I was not allowed to ride alone, and definitely not when I was supposed to be working. I was a 13-year-old boy, sue me. I had just made a new trail that went up a very steep, but not very tall hill. Once you hit the top of the hill you would pop out into a little clearing in the woods. It was a half-moon-shaped clearing in the woods, along an otherwise straight wood line. At some point it had been cleared, as someone had planned to build a house there way before my family owned the property. Once I popped out into the clearing I was hit with one of the most awful smells I had ever been around. I can’t even explain what it was like. I have never smelled anything like it before or after. If I had to give you an idea it was like the smell of death, times ten. I immediately took a hard right and followed the semi-circle shape of the wood line staying in the clearing.

Something caught my eye as I was coming around to where I was able to see the top of the trail I had just exited. I stopped the 4-wheeler and took a double take. Where I had just exited the woods was a deer standing on its hind legs. Now, I have seen deer stand on their hind legs before. It’s not uncommon. They will do it when reaching for leaves, fruits, or berries if they are high up in a tree. What was uncommon about this is that the deer was at least 13 feet tall. It was a towering sight to see. I had already stopped and turned the 4-wheeler off.

Disgusted by the smell, but amazed at what I was seeing, we were in a stare-down for what seemed like an eternity. I finally mustered the courage to say something. I was scared but intrigued. The word “Hi” was all I managed to squeak out. The moment I said the word “Hi” the “deer” took a step towards me. This is when I went from being scared and intrigued to being absolutely terrified. I scrambled to turn the 4-wheeler back on and get the hell out of dodge. The deer, although slowly, was walking towards me the whole time. One back leg in front of the other. Its walk is hard to explain. It was walking on its two hind legs like a person, but also kind of floating towards me? I don’t know how else to explain it. It was not natural. The deer's mouth was also different. It had a longer snout, and its lips were pulled back like it was smiling at me. The eyes looked like human eyes as well. Not the all-dark eye you would typically see on a deer. The image of that smile and the way it looked at me with those eyes will haunt me forever. I still, as an adult have nightmares about it from time to time.

I got the 4-wheeler started and took off at record speed to about 100 yards away. I turned back to the clearing and saw nothing. It was gone. I just sat in that spot in the field for about 10 minutes, watching. After waiting I rode back to the clearing and the smell was gone. I decided it was best to go home at this point. I have no idea what made me go back after seeing that. I think it was because I knew it wasn’t actually a deer, even though it had to be a deer. Right? I spent the rest of the day inside looking out the windows from time to time. I didn’t go back out and do any of my chores. I got in trouble for that. I didn’t care. There was no way I was going back outside that day.

Anyway, that is my story. This is the first time I am telling it. I have never told a soul about this. Not even one person. ln fear of being called a crazy person. I’ve debated about sending this to you guys for years, and am so glad I did. Getting it out just by writing it down is like a small weight lifting off me. I now know that I most likely had an encounter with a “Not Deer”. This encounter gave me a different outlook on things that we think can’t exist, but if you have seen them you know they do. There are a lot of BS stories on the internet, but because of this, I know at least a fraction of them are true." J

LASER-LIKE, RED-EYED WINGED HUMANOID Observed on Park Tower Condominium Roof, Chicago, Illinois

As the result of the airing of 'The Mothman Revisited' episode on Season 4 of 'Unsolved Mysteries,' the producers collected reports from the viewers and forwarded the information to us.

The original report submitted:

"OMG! I have seen Mothman 7 times! I live at 5100 block of N. Kenmore Ave. on a upper floor and my bedroom window looks over at the big black building on Lake Michigan! My roommate has called me crazy every time I told him that I thought it was an alien with wings!" R

I contacted the witness and received additional information:

The witness 'Ryan' stated that one night in early July 2024 he had gone to bed at around 8 PM (He has a shift job that begins early in the morning). At around 8:45-9:00 PM, he had awakened and was looking out his bedroom window toward the north. It was dark by that time. He was directed to the Park Tower Condominium located at 5419 N. Sheridan Rd in the Edgewater section of Chicago, Illinois

What caught his attention was the bright, laser-like red light that projected from the roof of the Park Tower Condominium approximately 6 blocks northeast of his location (5100 block of N. Kenmore Ave.)

When he looked more intently he observed a humanoid figure with wings standing on the roof, backlit by the lights on the building roof. As he watched, the humanoid unfurled its wings, quickly ascended off the roof, and flew toward Lake Michigan.

He described the winged humanoid as dark in color, about 7 feet minimum in height, thin-bodied, with a wingspan of 15+ feet total. The winged structure and type were not discernable.

He quickly felt a sense of fear, got out of bed, and told his roommate that there was 'an alien' on the tall black building north of them.

Ryan states that he has seen the winged humanoid several more times since the initial sighting, always seen standing on the Park Tower Condominium roof. The intense fear swells in him each time he has observed the being. He had never heard of the phenomenon previous or after his sightings. Ryan was relieved that his sightings were now validated after watching the Unsolved Mysteries episode and reading my reports.

I found Ryan's testimony to be very credible. Attempts to capture a photograph have been futile since the sightings are at night and at a 6-block distance. Lon

EERIE HUMAN-LIKE SHOUTS From Woods Terrify British Columbia Couple!

A British Columbia couple is in the vehicle in a parking lot when they hear a terrifying and eerie shouting sound emanating from the woods. After 3 years the experience still affects them.

I received the following account:

"The date was August 28, 2021, in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. I'm not entirely sure what I encountered, but here goes. Everything around here is mostly woods, and there's also a large forest service road system a few blocks away that goes quite far into the bush. A little bit more about my immediate area around my home (It helps to understand where everything is). There is a little park across from my house with a small playground and a paved path that goes about 0.4km until it meets up with a main road. Down the hill from there, there's a newer housing development area that has a large cleared area (previously bush) and a long gravel path that leads to a meadow and eventually the road. If you walk to the bush at the park across from my house and take a right in the woods, there's a narrow trail that's quite overgrown that pops you out at the start of the hill down to the new development (There's also quite a few trails within that section of bush at the park). About 100 meters away to the right of the hill is another park that connects to the forest service road system and endless bush. From the park across my house to the end of the meadow is about 1-1.5 km in total. The meadow connects to a large gravel area across from a high school up a hill which is where this begins.

Alright, so here's what happened. This was all later at night, around 11:30 pm. Me and my girlfriend were in the gravel lot (in my SUV) across from the high school where we were talking and she eventually fell asleep as we had been walking around all day and the fair was in town.

About 15 minutes after she was asleep I started to get an eerie feeling like I was being watched and had a feeling like we had overstayed our welcome. I didn't like it at all and always trust my gut when I get feelings like that, so I started to wake up my girlfriend. Just as she was starting to wake up, I heard what sounded like someone shouting (Kind of like a wooo or haaa) further away downhill into the meadow. I would have disregarded it, but it caught me off guard a bit since it sounded almost doubled (Like the person had a chorus pedal or pitch shifter on their voice). It spooked me a bit because of that and I hadn't heard anyone yell like that before. I finished waking up my girlfriend, and we drove away from there into an elementary school parking lot down the road from the hill leading to the new development. I told her what happened and we joked about it being spooky and whatnot. I then looked up videos to try and find something that matched what I had heard. I didn't find an exact match, other than what some said was a skinwalker.

For fun, we decided to drive down the hill to the new development as it's dark and spooky (It has woods on one side where the park is, and has a gravel turnaround for vehicles with a gate at the end where the gravel path starts). As we were going down the hill near the top, I got a very strange and uneasy feeling, almost like a slight panic, but it went away shortly after we got to the bottom of the hill. My girlfriend said she got the feeling as well, so we decided to turn around on a side street and leave. I decided to play some music that always helps take the scared feelings away from me and put the pedal to the metal accelerator whilst going up the hill to make me feel more comfortable and like nothing could touch me. When we were about 3/4 of the way up the hill, the feeling came back and hit us in full force. The closer we got to the top where the trail came out, the stronger it got.

The only way I can describe it is pure terror. It wasn't fear or dread, it was terror. We both had a physical reaction to it. We got intense chills, and we could feel the goosebumps on our skin all over our bodies. We both started to get choked up and teary-eyed, and I became short of breath for a minute. I must've gone from 60km/h up the hill (limit is 50) to 80 after cresting the hill, and it felt like if we stopped, we surely would have died. It was the most petrifying experience either of us had (We didn't even see anything). I've driven past many animals at night from deer to bears to coyotes, etc., and have been outside walking home alone at night with a bear going through garbage cans at my neighbor's houses. I've dirt-biked past a momma bear with cubs and momma moose, and I thought those were scary experiences. No scary experience I've had from a car accident when I was young to almost being hit 4 times doing road construction by dumb drivers can even come close to the feeling I had that night. It was truly the most terrifying experience of my life.

After getting out of dodge, we went to a well-lit mall parking lot and calmed down for a bit, still shaken. I drove my girlfriend home, and had a very anxiety and fear-ridden drive home, as the park across from my house is only 150 meters or so away from where the encounter took place.

When I got home, I made sure everything was locked up tight, had a little bit of weed to calm down, and then went to bed while on video call with my girlfriend. That night around 3:30 - 3:45 am, I woke up and had a mild return of the panic feeling for around 5 minutes before falling back asleep. I dreamt of the experience the entire night.

The next morning, my girlfriend told me she heard tapping on my window at around 3:00 am which made me shudder as my window was around 9 feet off the ground. I don't know what to make of the experience. I've never liked walking in those woods alone as I always get a creepy feeling, but I'm definitely not walking to my house alone at night ever again." B

GLOWING WHITE, MEMBRANE-WINGED CREATURE Observed Near Jackson, Mississippi

A Mississippi eyewitness describes their sighting of a glowing white creature with membrane wings in 1972. The sighting experience has remained with them for many years.

"Hi, Lon. I have been following your investigation of the Chicago Mothman and other cryptids. I held off contacting you about my sighting many years ago, but now I would like some answers.

In 1972, I was a child living in a small Mississippi town just south of Jackson. I was about 12 years old, sitting on the front porch of my grandmother's house. I don't remember it being cold, and I don't know what time of year it was, but it was about 9 PM when I noticed some movement to my left above the streetlights moving through the air around 75 yards away.

It was white and seemed to glow. There appeared to be a body with membrane-gossamer wings with a very small head. I mean, a small face and eyes, basically a body, and wings. The tail was multi-rayed and wispy. I would have thought it was an owl, except it was too large and seemed glowing from within. It glided until it got almost directly in front of me, about 30 yards away, when it shot straight up and out of sight.

It seems so bizarre to me that after all these years I still remember so vividly." S

NOTE: Anomalous winged creatures and humanoids are a worldwide phenomenon. I literally receive hundreds of reports annually. I'm not sure of what this witness experienced, but many times, like the witness described, the memory remains permanent and overwhelming. Lon

(VIDEO/PHOTOS) PERUVIAN 'ALIEN MUMMIES' Forensically Proven Bogus

Experts have confirmed that a pair of “alien mummies” that turned up in a Peruvian airport last year and caused quite a stir worldwide are far from extraterrestrial.

“They are not extraterrestrials, they are not intraterrestrials, they are not a new species, they are not hybrids, they are none of those things that this group of pseudo-scientists who for six years have been presenting with these elements,” forensic archaeologist Flavio Estrada, who led the analysis, told reporters Friday.

Peru’s prosecutor’s office said the objects, which included two doll-like figures and an alleged three-fingered hand, were made with paper, glue, metal, and human and animal bones.

It has not yet been determined who owns the objects seized by customs agents in Lima in October. Officials would only say that a Mexican citizen was the intended recipient of the objects.

The experts showed reporters a couple of dolls, each around two feet long and dressed in multicolored traditional Andean clothing.

In September 2023, Mexican journalist and longtime UFO enthusiast Jaime Maussan caused quite a stir when he stood before Mexico’s congress and presented two boxes with supposed mummies found in Peru, which he and others considered “non-human beings that are not part of our terrestrial evolution.”

The “bodies” bore a remarkable resemblance to the beloved fictional alien E.T., with elongated, protruding faces, skinny limbs, and three long fingers on each hand. (E.T. had four fingers and a thumb, however.)

“I think there is a clear demonstration that we are dealing with non-human specimens that are not related to any other species in our world and that all possibilities are open for any scientific institution … to investigate it,” Maussan said at the time, claiming they were found in Peru in 2017 and had been carbon-dated back 1,000 years by Mexico’s National Autonomous University (UNAM).

Despite the ridicule, Maussan doubled his claims again in November, alleging that over 30 percent of the specimens’ DNA is “unknown” or “not from any known species.”

At the Lima press conference on Friday, which was organized by Peru’s culture ministry, experts did not say that the dolls found in Peru last fall were related to the bodies presented in Mexico, but they stressed that the remains in Mexico are also not extraterrestrial.

“They are not the remains of ancestral aliens that they have tried to present,” the 2017 report stated.

NOTE: This is not the first time Maussan has made false claims about alien remains. In 2015 he presented what he said was a mummified alien body, which was later identified to be a mummified human child.

And in 2017 he made similar claims about a different set of alleged alien bodies, which the Peruvian prosecutor’s office later declared in a report were “recently manufactured dolls, which have been covered with a mixture of paper and synthetic glue to simulate the presence of skin.”

RED-EYED, BAT-WINGED HUMANOID Encountered in Rockford, Illinois Apartment

As the result of the airing of 'The Mothman Revisited' episode on Season 4 of 'Unsolved Mysteries,' the producers collected reports from the viewers and forwarded the information to us.

"2013/2014 in Rockford, Illinois: My husband and I were living at Beacon Hill Apartments off Linden Road. Our apartment was on ground level, with only one juvenile tree 20 feet from the bedroom window.

My husband had been working nights and I would be sleeping alone with the two cats. I would hear consistently between 3-4 AM a metallic tapping on the bedroom window. I couldn't sleep. I'd stay up until after 4:30 AM or so to make sure the tapping stopped. Then I started hearing "bees" in the bedroom vent. I maintenance check for bees and they said nothing was in there.

Sometime later on a weekend when my husband was home and able to sleep with me, I woke up and noticed what appeared to be a large upside-down bat with red eyes. I woke him up and told him to look. He said that he didn't see anything. Although my husband did hear the "bees" in the vent and the tapping on the bedroom window.

We just watched the 2024 Mothman episode which noted Rockford, Illinois. There were definitely negative vibes there. I grew up in the small town of Herrin, Illinois and my husband is from Antioch, Illinois. We only lived in Rockford from 2010-14, in the same apartment.

I have ruled out a person, foliage, trash, and animals for the noises. The huge bat in my doorway was a paranormal being. I figure if there are larger winged humanoid creatures, there are probably smaller ones. I only saw it one time, thankfully. I blinked and rubbed my eyes to make sure of what I was seeing before waking up my hubby. I covered my head and told myself it was nothing, but I saw something." N

NOTE: We have received reports from other winged humanoid witnesses that included other unexplained supernatural aspects of these beings, including observations of them in a home or other indoor location. As well, there have been a few instances when the being would simply vanish or manifest. the Rockford, Illinois area experiences several supernatural-related experiences involving the winged humanoids. BLOOD-CURDLING SCREAMS Echo Out at Wisconsin Campground!

A Wisconsin camp worker heard continuous screaming on a trail behind his cabin. Later, while on a 'spirit walk' with other employees, the screams were heard again. It didn't end there!

I received the following account:

"I've had this story on my mind for a long, long time. I've always been a fan of the supernatural and cryptids but never had any stand-out experiences myself. I've lived in the Upper Midwest, my whole life, Wisconsin to be exact, and have come to appreciate the local lore that comes with it.

In my late teens, I worked at a camp for a few summers. The camp was massive, with only about 1/5 of it being equipped for hospitality (dining hall, cabins, shower houses, etc) and the rest being wilderness. The land had 6 lakes on it, all connected by small rivers. What made this camp particularly eerie, however, was it was actually built around a Potawatomi burial ground. I won't get into the legends around the burial mounds, but overall, this place checked all the boxes for a B-List horror movie.

Now, my job at camp was sort of a catch-all. I was a program director, lifeguard, cook, and gift shop manager, basically if they needed a role filled I was the one doing it. It kept me busy, and I had many long days. I would close the gift shop at about 7 PM each night, then head upstairs to the kitchen. I could walk back to my cabin if I wanted, but the cook hated the dark. So I'd help him with dishes and cutting fruit for breakfast and then walk him to his cabin. I have one rule though. No flashlights.

You can't see very well in the woods if your eyes are focused on a small beam of light. I hated the idea of people or animals sneaking up on us. So every night, in the moonlight, I would walk him to his cabin, then walk the public road to mine. My ulterior motive for taking the public road was, well, I'm a smoker, and we have to be good role models for the kids. No smoking in camp, but they can't tell you what to do on public property.

My cabin was right on the edge of the hospitable portion of the land. Miles of marshlands and forest sat behind my cabin and, fortunately or unfortunately, I had the cabin to myself. But the weird thing was that every night I would be smoking and walking the public road, and I would hear screaming in the woods. It sounded like a woman was being murdered.

I brushed it off the first night. There's a public access lake. People get rowdy. Sound carries. Could be a prank, or a fox, or an owl. It's the woods. But it kept happening, every night, as soon as I stepped onto that road. I decided not to let it bother me. I had to be up early every day. No sense in chasing noise in the dark. I would get to my cabin, spread some tobacco for the land, and sleep soundly every night.

Well, the end of summer came around. It was always bittersweet. You eat 3 meals a day with the same people for 3 months, and they start to grow on you. One goodbye tradition we kept up over the years was on the final new moon of the camp season, the ranger would take the staff for a 'spirit walk.' It was always good fun, he'd share the legends of the land with the new staff and try to shake them up. We would hike through the back of the camp, around the marshes and lakes, and see what kind of spooky things we would stir up.

We all met at the only street light on the public road that night, but that year the ranger had his rifle slung over his shoulder. We ran into a cougar the year before, and two wolves lived in the back property, so I didn't think much of it. The rules are simple. No flashlights. No jingling keys. No running. If you run, we might not find you. They were half to scare people, half true. The woods were thick and the marshes were dangerous.

Everything was going smoothly till we reached a river crossing not too far from the public road. It takes you to a clearing, just before the trail reconnects with the road behind my cabin. The moment we crossed the bridge, the woods went dead silent. You could hear yourself breathing. That, my friends, is one of the scariest things that can happen to you in the woods. Silence.

And then, just like every night before, a blood-curdling scream ripped across the clearing. One of the new staff was about to take off before me and another grabbed his arms. "That's the screaming I've been hearing," I told my boss. "That's the screaming I hear every night," The ranger shushed everyone. The scream came again, louder this time. The ranger whistled in the direction of the noise.

It whistled back.

Suddenly, the screaming surrounded us. Behind us, to the right, to the left. The group closed in, shoulder to shoulder, not daring to even breathe. The ranger, ever serious and calm, said barely a whisper, "We're turning around. Take the bridge back to the trail. We're going the long way,"

So, in hurried steps, we made our way back to the streetlight that we met under without muttering a word. Once we were in light again, I could tell that the ranger was actually shaken up. This is the same man who was charged by a cougar in the dark and brushed it off.

"I need a cigarette,"

"You haven't smoked in like 2 years,"

"I need a cigarette,"

I wasn't about to argue with the man holding a rifle, so I obliged. After a few drags, he muttered "I don't want to scare anyone, but I know only one creature that can mimic human voices like that."

"It's a Wendigo," I said, not even thinking. I was in shock. All summer I walked that road, and this thing was out there. Screaming. Trying to lure me in.

That's when he said that, yes, he thought the same. He first thought it was one of the neighboring property owners looking for their dog, calling out for them, so he whistled. Then, he explained the gun. All spring, he was finding deer strewn around the property. Not unusual, being the woods and all. But there were so many, and so brutally taken down. He said these things looked like they had been hit by cars. In the middle of the woods. Absolutely mangled. More bizarrely, no other animals would touch them. No tracks that said bear, or wolf, or cougar. He was worried, about something bringing big game down like that, so he brought his rifle.

No one said much after that. My boss got sage from her cabin and gave everyone who asked for one a blessing. We were shaken.

After that, I changed cabins. I didn't own much in general at the time, so I wasn't troubled in the least to get off the public road. Didn't even care that I had to row out in the middle of the lake to have a cigarette. I wasn't stepping foot on that road, and I'm a little sorry to say I never stepped foot back on that property. Call me superstitious or lilly-livered, but I couldn't bring myself to go back into those woods. Not even if you paid me." A
