(VIDEO / PHOTOS) Possible SASQUATCH Recorded on Connersville, Indiana Game Camera?

A submitter's supposed game camera captured a series of images recently in Connersville, Indiana. Josh Banker writes, "I literally don't have the words. I went to check the trail cameras this morning and I think I caught a freaking Sasquatch. Neighbors said that they had heard weird screams at night. I thought it was just deer outside making the sounds all night. Well, no more going to the woods without my .45."

Josh shared some photos of what the surrounding area looked like during the daytime. RMS enlarged the subject.

'MIMICKING' ENTITY Encountered in Northwestern Maine Woods

A teen boy was at his family's cabin in northwestern Maine. Along with the family dog, he sensed something unusual in his vicinity and then heard it 'mimic' his voice and words.

I received the following account:

"I had a scary experience happen to me in 2018 that has stuck with me throughout the years and I’m wondering if you all could possibly help me explain what I witnessed in the woods all those years ago.

I was about 16 at the time and I am half indigenous. I was visiting my uncle on my mom's side (the Indigenous side) at his cabin located in the woods of northwestern Maine because I was driving my Grandpa up to visit them for the fall season. The cabin was rather small and could only accommodate my uncle, auntie, and grandpa so I was told to sleep in the camper that was set back further into the woods.

That evening went by as usual. My auntie made dinner and we all laughed and shared stories and eventually turned in for the night. I took a flashlight and started my way out to the camper. About halfway down, I shut off the flashlight and looked up to admire the night sky. It was at this point I noticed how quiet the forest had become. There were no birds or sounds of crickets or rustling leaves just pure silence. I suddenly got this intense feeling of dread deep within my gut and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. The voice in my head told me to bolt to the camper as fast as I could. For some reason, my instincts told me I didn’t belong there and something was watching me. When I made it to the camper I slammed the door shut and double-locked it; closing the window blinds. I swear I could hear my heart pounding in my ears as I laughed at myself for getting so worked up over nothing. The entire night I was restless in my sleep. I couldn’t help but hear footsteps and movement all around the camper. I told myself it was just curious animals and grazing deer but my dreams were haunted by something I couldn’t see. Unfortunately, this would not be my final experience of the weekend.

By morning all seemed normal. I thought about mentioning what had happened to my Grandfather over breakfast but worried that he would brush me off as being over dramatic or “too used to the city life”. I let the odd night slide off my mind as I enjoyed the day with my family and their German Shepard Jack. Just to calm my nerves, I asked Jack to accompany me in the camper that evening to ensure I felt safe. The walk back was once again fine until I began to enter the tree line. I’m not sure if it was because I was feeling nervous as well but Jack seemed to be on edge with his ears perked and head on a swivel. That night he slept in the bed of the trailer with me. I felt safer with the dog there however I had an extremely awful dream in which when I awoke, Jack was staring at the wall of the trailer with his hackles standing on end.

When the morning came I packed my bags to leave in the afternoon, brought Jack out of the trailer, and led him out to the small field between the cabin and the thick woods. I kicked a ball so that Jack would fetch it. He raced down to grab the ball until his full sprint turned into a full stop, digging his paws into the dirt meters past where the ball had landed. He was standing stiff, fur on end, ears pinned back, and unmoving. I called for him to come (which he always responded to) but he didn’t even acknowledge me. I began to walk down to where he was, calling his name a little bit louder still with no response. I grabbed him by the collar, getting kind of worried at this point as his eyes stared directly into the trees. I yelled his name loudly giving him a little tug. The forest was silent. Moments later the silence was broken by an echo of my voice yelling back. However, this echo was delayed and distorted. It sounded like me but also not like me. I froze and looked into the dark woods, holding my breath only for another scream to come from the woods in MY voice. I immediately turned and booked it back to the cabin.

I came to my auntie trying to tell her that there was something out there in those woods. She comforted me and told me it must have been nothing but she seemed as if that was not the answer she wanted to give. My family is rather superstitious, especially me, and I’m guessing she didn’t want me to overthink anything. I left that afternoon and I have not been back since that weekend.

A friend of mine told me to share my story with you as you all might have an idea of what I experienced. I’m not sure if I encountered a cryptid, bad spirit, or just an overactive imagination." C

THE 1930 'OUIJA BOARD MURDER' in Buffalo, New York

The following newspaper account is an example of blatant racism towards Native Americans in society and the press during the 1920's 1930's. The two women in this incident used a Ouija board to communicate with a deceased husband. As a result, they believed they were given the name of the killer, and then proceeded to gain revenge. The murder was blamed on witchcraft. Be warned of the content that follows:

ARTIST'S CAVEMAN LOVE FOR INDIAN MODEL BARED IN BUFFALO 'WITCH MURDER TRIAL'

Secret romance between Henri Marchand, noted artist, and Lila Jimerson, his Indian-girl model marked by gutsy passions and climaxed by the murder or Mrs. Marchand

BUFFALO, N.Y. March 27 - Stranger still than the practice of primitive Indian witchcraft that resulted in the murder of Mrs. Clothilde Marchand in metropolitan Buffalo in 1930, is the story of the secret romance of her husband and his Indian-girl model.

Henri Marchand, 53, art director of the Buffalo Museum of Natural Sciences and world famous as an artist and sculptor, was carrying on a clandestine love affair with an Indian reservation girl, Lila Jimerson. Both of them now admit it.

It was the dark-eyed Seneca model's jealousy for Mrs. Marchand that led her, so the state contents at her murder trial, to play upon the superstitions of Nancy Bowen, aged pagan Indian, until Nancy slew Mrs. Marchand in her Buffalo home, using a 10-cent hammer as a tomahawk.

Lila convinced Nancy that Mrs. Marchand had bewitched old Sassafras Charlie, her husband, and thus caused his death.

Lila and Nancy were charged with first degree murder and Marchand, after his love letters to Lila had been discovered was jailed as a material witness.

CLOSEUP OF LOVERS

HENRI MARCHAND - Sculptor, artist and musician. Born in Paris in 1877, the son of a woman who have been a countess had the monarchy lived. A descendant of General Jean Gabriel Marchand of Napoleon's staff. Graduate of several European academies, possessor of many medals for art, including gold medal and grand prize awarded at Paris Exposition.

Came to America 30 years ago, to Buffalo five years ago.

LILA JIMERSON - A Seneca India, 35 years old and looking every day of it. Tall, thin, Flat-chested, sallow and said to be in advanced stages of tuberculosis. Dowdy, even seedy in appearance. Has spent entire life among Indians on reservation near Buffalo. Six grades in an Indian school. Worked as berry picker for cannery.

LILA NO POCOHONTAS

Lila lacks a lot of being a Pocohontas. Why Marchand ever fell for her remains unexplained. Alienists have pronounced her sane, but with a 'witch complex.'

When I talked wither in the Erie county jail she wore a cheap black dress with soiled lace collar. Her long black hair was braided and tied, in a club knot on the back of her head. She wore large shoes, vislbly in need of repair, and cotton stockings that wrinkled around her sparrow-like legs. She appeared in court in the same garb.

Marchand had a cottage near the reservation and Lila had posed as his model for some time, but, according to her story, their real friendship did not begin until September 1, 1922. Lila wanted to go to the village and Marchand offered to take her in his car. She says he kissed her.

CAVEMAN LOVER

More auto rides followed, the romance grew. Marchand, with entrée to every art salon in Europe, apparently enjoyed playing a caveman lover to a primitive Indian girl. Then they began making overnight trips out of town together.

He said he could get along better with an Indian girl that he could with a white woman, Lila says. She chased me; I didn't chase her, replies the highly excitable and voluble little Frenchman. As the affair continued the Indian girl's jealousy caused her to scheme to get rid of Marchand's wife, District Attorney Moore says. The witch plot with superstitious old Nancy followed.

ASKED FOR WIFE'S HAIR

Months ago, Marchand has recalled since his wife's murder, Lila asked him to make her a present of a lock of Mrs. Marchand;s hair. A friend advised him against it, however, saying it smacked of witchcraft. Marchand insists he knew nothing of the Indian plot against his wife.

With his wife and children, Marchand lived in Buffalo near the museum. Lila lived in a little cabin on the reservation, 30 miles away, with her aged father and mother. The former is an Indian farmer, the latter an old squaw who can hardly speak English.

In their dilapidated and crowded cabin, Lila had a rickety old piano. She had never taken a music lesson but she played by ear. She learned on the piano in the little church on the reservation that the Christian Indians attended.

ANCESTOR WHITE WOMAN

Despite her poverty, Lila had her pride of ancestry. She is a descendant of Mary Jemison, famed in the history of the Niagara frontier as the white woman of the Indian tribes. Lila's name, Jimerson is apparently a corruption of the original Jemison.

Mary Jemison;s life in history, a few years before the Revolutionary War her Scotch-Irish parents, came over and settled in the wilderness. When she was 13, Indians raided the home and massacred all the family but her, whom they kidnapped.

Mary watched the Indian braves as they cured the scalps of her own mother and father over a camp fire. She recognized her mother's hair, she said in the story of her life, because it was long and red and beautiful.

The little girl grew up as a member of the tribe. She married three Indian warriors in succession, leaving numerous descendants among the Indians. Lila is said to be a great-great-granddaughter.

SQUAW DIED WEALTHY

Mary Jemison rose to be a power among the tribes and upon her death at an advanced age in 1831 and owned thousands acres in the Genesee Valley. Her cabin with all its equipment is preserved and a heroic statue of her stands in what is now a state park near Buffalo.

Little is known of Mrs. Clothilde Marchand, the little French wife and mother whom Marchand married in Paris and brought here. She was an artist too, but never exhibited her paintings.

If she was aware of her husband's illicit romance she suffered in silence. She had few acquaintances as she couldn't speak English well. She left four children, two married, and the youngest a boy of 12, who almost stumbled over the body of his murdered mother when he returned from school that afternoon an hour after witch-ridden old Nancy had left the house with her blood-stained hammer. - MARCH 1930 - BRANTFORD EXPOSITOR

DID WE SEE THE OZARK HOWLER?

"I could see this dark four-legged creature moving back and forth slowly through the brush. We immediately started to walk at a fast pace back towards the park."

I received the following account:

"Hi, Lon. I don't have any idea what I witnessed on 5/28/2013 but it was the most frightening experience of my life. My wife and I were camping at an RV park near Jasper, Arkansas, and planned to be there for several days. We arrived early Saturday and got situated soon after.

My wife wanted to look around the area since she had never been to the Ozarks. I was born and raised in the mountains and was familiar with the terrain and wildlife. After we tinkered around the campsite we decided to take a short hike through a nearby valley. There were a few caves and caverns along the way but nothing where I would have guessed any large predator would be living. After walking for an hour we started to head back towards the RV park.

Not long after we started walking back down the trail something caught my eye on the right in a sassafras thicket. My wife sensed it as well and stopped to look in the same direction. I could see this dark four-legged creature moving back and forth slowly through the brush. We immediately started to walk at a fast pace back towards the park. This creature was moving along as well, keeping its distance, but tracking us. This continued for what seemed like 10 minutes until we reached the clearing.

We got back to the campsite very shaken and nervous. All my years growing up in these mountains I had never seen anything comparable to it. From what I could gather it was very large, almost the size of a black bear but moved close to the ground like a cat. It was also very dark in color. We didn't say anything to others camping nearby.

The rest of the evening was very quiet and peaceful until around 2:15 am, when we heard what sounded like a high-pitched howl coming from a distance. It was loud enough to wake both of us and I noticed several campers were looking outside, milling around and talking as well. Someone said it was just a coyote, but that was not a coyote or anything else I had ever heard before.

The next morning we woke around 9 am. When I stepped out of the RV a woman walked up to me and asked if I had heard the howling. I said that I did and had no idea what it was. The woman, who was camping nearby, said that she believed it to be the 'Ozark Howler' and that there had been a few sightings recently. I knew the stories about the 'Ozark Howler' but never believed any of them.

Well, my wife wanted to leave ASAP. Now I'm not sure what to think. We came home today and I looked up the 'Ozark Howler.' There isn't much to go on. I read your blog and thought you may want to get the word out. Is it possible this creature may live?" J

NOTE: Information on this cryptid is scant, as well, the history is vague. There are a few anecdotal accounts but nothing to really 'hang your hat on.' Lon

SHORT REPTILIAN HUMANOID Encounter & Recent Sightings Prompts Reader to Contact Me!

A reader contacted me and described an encounter that he had as a child with a short Reptilian humanoid. Now, in the same house, his son is seeing another unknown humanoid.

I received the following account:

"Dear Mr. Strickler. I will be upfront and honest with you. I am one of those who want to believe. However, I am also one of those who is very skeptical. I have read the books of Eric Von D, Robert Bauval, and others. Mainstream media has tickled my interest in DaVinci and the Free Masons. For over 15 years or so (now in my early 30s) I have always had a love of Mayan, Inca, and ancient Egyptian societies. Maybe 2-3 years or so ago while watching something on the History Channel, I was browsing the internet and came across your blog. I have followed on and off since then, and your posts of the little lizard man and your posts of the "Red Man", kind of hit home for me. I felt that if this person could come forward then I know I am not alone and they may also know that they are not alone in having an experience.

I was born and raised in NE Ohio. I had a normal upbringing (or what some would call). Parents are still married, went to church on Sundays, had a dog, picket fence, all those things. I did a little marijuana in high school, I rarely drink, and there is only one reported case of a mental illness in my family."

"When I was 12-13 years old, I remember having a very vivid dream where I was sitting in my living room watching TV. While watching TV (in my dream I was viewing myself in 3rd person) something made me want to look out through the dining room and out through the large sliding glass door into the backyard. When I turned my head, it was completely dark outside, and then in almost a comedic way of film, this giant moon slid up from below the horizon (like from the 9 to 12 position on a clock). The moon was enormous, almost filling the sky, and was brilliantly white. As I sit dumbfounded in my dream staring out the back window, something pulls my legs out from under me while I'm sitting on them on the floor. This startled me but while in my dream I was still staring at the moon this voice from what I can only assume was in my head said, "It's almost over."

This frightened me horribly. So much so that I woke up hot and sweaty only to find my bedroom door partially open with a small, dark figure closing the door and saying without moving his mouth "Don't tell."

I don't recall really any of the small humanoid's features. I just recall him being about 3 feet tall and seeing the figure darker than gray complexion and nothing moved on its face when I heard it speak. Even to this day, this incident is one of the most vivid memories that I have. Seeing your photo of the reptile man was nearly like pulling out a photo of my head from that past memory.

I mentioned nothing of this occurrence until just a few years ago to a close friend. I never even told my wife.

Well, I went off to college, came back home, got married, had a couple of kids, and just over a year ago bought my parents' house. On and off since the encounter/dream/incident (whatever you would like to call it because I don't) I get this feeling like I'm being observed. Not the kind of being watched where you are sitting up at night unable to sleep and you feel like someone is watching you through the window. More like something is waiting for me as I walk into rooms and sit in the car with me while I drive to work. This was only in small increments and I never felt it to be constant. But since moving back home, I am feeling it more so.

My son is the fun age of 5 and recently started talking about some guy he met here at home named 'Kyle Foker.' He tells my wife and I that he has seen him all over the house. Yes, he is a child, with an imagination. But while giving him the 20 questions about his new friend I am rattling my brain on what TV show/commercial/movie he could have come up with this, and so far have come up with nothing.

While that was going on I was in the kitchen just a week or so ago talking to my mom and for some reason, I felt compelled to look the other way and I saw a dark figure. This figure that I saw had an upside-down triangle for a torso and a rectangular block for a head. When I turned to look I could tell that it looked at me because while my brain was trying to comprehend what I just had seen, I could see that the blockhead sort of rotated and proceeded to take an immediate left and zip its way through my stairs that go up to our bedrooms.

From everything that I know, no one has died on this property. (My grandfather who lived with my parents and me, at my current location, for a few years from the time I was six until I was in high school became ill with Alzheimer's and later passed away having a complication from a stroke at a hospice center). But I am afraid partially for my sanity but more for my family. Although no one has been hurt in any way, I can't help to think like a father/husband and want to protect my family from any possible threat. But my issue here is that what the hell am I dealing with? Possible alien thing, spirit, mental illness, or all of the above? Am I seeing one thing and my son is seeing something else?" S

A woman 'humming' sound is heard near an old, weathered headstone with a large cross etched into the marble. Only the cross was glowing a bright, vivid blue, like a neon bulb.

I received the following account:

"When I was a U.S. Marine, I used to have the graveyard patrol shift at the Beirut Bombing Memorial at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Part of the memorial is dedicated to a veteran's cemetery. Oddly enough I never got freaked out being completely alone in a remote cemetery, in the middle of the night, surrounded by dense woods on all sides. It was actually kind of peaceful, to be honest.

However, one night I was patrolling near the perimeter fence where some of the oldest headstones are when I heard the sound of a woman humming. I followed the sound and noticed a light glowing through the vines and brush of a large tree. As I approached, I could literally feel my hair beginning to lift as if there was an electric current in the air.

I pushed aside the brush and what I saw nearly took my breath away. It was an old, weathered headstone with a large cross etched into the marble. Only the cross was glowing a bright, vivid blue, like a neon bulb. The humming was also suddenly much louder and had a weird plurality to it like it was coming from hundreds of voices at once.

Needless to say, I freaked out. I screamed like a scared little girl and sprinted back to the parking lot. I radioed the guard who was supposed to relieve me and forced him to come early, then spent the rest of my shift in the cab of his truck. I don't think he believed me, but he stayed in his truck and didn't go out on patrol until the sun was fully up.

A few days later, I worked up the nerve to return to the grave (during the day, of course). As I suspected, in the light of day it was a completely mundane headstone. There was no name, only the aforementioned cross. I ran my hands over the stone and checked to see if maybe there was some sort of hidden light source or solar panel, but no, it was just plain, solid, unremarkable stone. The humming was gone, too.

I eventually returned to my normal shift, but never again experienced anything out of the ordinary. I never learned whose grave that was, either, but I find myself thinking about it from time to time. It certainly sounds absurd when I say it out loud, and I suppose it could have been a hallucination or a trick of my tired brain, but I don't believe it was. I think it was real; a ghost or spirit of some sort, but I don't think it was malevolent at all.

SUDDEN ILLNESS Envelopes Witness After Observing BLACK-EYED MAN!

"I was sitting in the backseat of the car and I was just looking around and I glanced over. One man stood out and his face looked so weird. It was like they had no eyes."

I received the following account:

“Hi, Lon. I just wanted to tell you that when I first got married back in 1998 my husband and his family went to Matamoros, Mexico to see his grandmother. And when we were leaving, I was sitting in the backseat of the car and I was just looking around and I glanced over – something told me to glance over, so I glanced over to my right and as I looked, there was like a crowd of people standing on the road but one man stood out and his face looked so weird. It was like they had no eyes. It was like his eyes were just black and I was staring and it was like, something doesn't look right and they were staring at me and the car turned so I couldn't see them anymore.

The next thing I knew, I felt so sick that I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room. And I'm telling my husband, 'I feel sick... all of a sudden I feel sick.' And he, you know, him and his parents thought maybe it was the heat because I had lived in Alaska for three years and I was trying to adapt to the heat. I said, 'No, I don't think it's the heat. Something just doesn't feel right.' I thought I was going to die and they were trying to hurry up and get me back to Brownsville and I said, 'Take me to the emergency room!'

Instead, they took me home and they took me into a cold, dark bedroom and his mom laid me on the bed and I've never believed in this stuff. I mean, I'm not very superstitious but she went and got an egg and she'd taken this egg and rubbed it all over my body and she was whispering something. I don't know if it was a prayer or what but as she got to my right hand, the egg exploded and she got startled. The egg exploded everywhere. Then, the next thing I know, not even five minutes later, I'm feeling better. It was weird. But all I know is what I saw over there in Mexico was the weirdest thing ever. And with you talking about these black-eyed people or black-eyed kids.

It struck fear in me because it just triggered that memory of what I saw. That's just weird because, like I said, I don't really believe in this stuff. Then you're talking about it and I'm like, maybe it is real?” J

GRUESOME 'SASQUATCH' TALE Along the Chetco River, Oregon

"That night, the loggers were awakened by shrill screams of something not quite human in the near underbrush. Seizing a rifle, one man lit a torch and headed into the darkness."

I received the following account:

"In the late 1890s near the Chetco River in southern Oregon, a dozen loggers and their families encountered a great beast with disastrous results. Camping in tents by the river, the lumber men would awaken each morning to find their freshly cut timber, which required three men to move, carelessly scattered about like matchsticks. Huge human footprints left in the damp earth were the only clues. Since they had been having trouble with bears, the men followed the footprints through the torn shrubbery and uprooted saplings until they disappeared.

That night, the loggers were awakened by shrill screams of something not quite human in the near underbrush. Seizing a rifle, one man lit a torch and headed into the darkness. He was quickly followed by several other men. In a very short time, the first man rushed back to collapse in terror at the feet of his tracking companions. He babbled incoherently about a hairy monster eight feet tall with yellow eyes, fangs, and hands like a man. His description put the camp in an uproar.

The next night, two men decided to track and kill the hairy intruder. They carried a small lantern and loaded rifles and disappeared into the darkness behind the tents. Back in camp, their friends heard screams and shrieks and the sounds of gunfire. Then...silence.

When the two men did not reappear, the other loggers grabbed lanterns and torches and, while firing their guns into the air, set out in search of their comrades. A half mile from camp, they found the scene of a desperate struggle. Broken and bleeding, arms and legs ripped from the torsos, their two friends lay scattered all over the place. They had been slammed against trees and torn into pieces by something with incredible strength. Blood dripped into small pools from branches high in the trees, as well as from the crushed greenery of the surrounding shrubs. But of the hairy creature responsible, there were only bloody footprints leading deep into the woods.

The loggers struck camp and left the area the next day. Professional hunters entered the forest in the days that followed, but found no sign of the creature." CJ

WALKING 'TREE MAN' Encounter in Silver Falls Springs, Oregon

"The legs looked like a pair of articulated tree trunks with no discernible feet. It had patches of moss randomly covering its torso and legs and was about 20 feet in height."

I received the following account:

“Back in the early 90s, I went with a group to Silver Falls Springs in Oregon. One night, after dinner, I went for a stroll to find a clear spot so I could see the stars. After about 20 minutes of sitting quietly and contemplating the sky and the stars, a breeze blew through and rustled all the trees and branches around the clearing. As the wind gently shook the trees, something caught my eye in my peripheral. I looked to my right and there it was. For just a second or two, I saw what could be best described as a walking tree. Back then, I was just beginning to appreciate books. So, at the time, I haven't read anything aside from comic books or magazines.

So, now, today, I can describe it as looking like an Ent from the Lord of the Rings books/movies. Except it had more of a round head with a definite neck attached to its shoulders. Its limbs were long and thin. It could probably touch the ground if it just relaxed its arms down. There didn't seem to be a distinction or separation between the torso and hip area. The legs looked like a pair of articulated tree trunks with no discernible feet. It had patches of moss randomly covering its torso and legs and was about 20 feet in height. And it was holding what could be described as a long, baseball-like, club in its right hand going over its shoulder.

When I first turned my head to see what caught my eye while the wind rushed by, I saw it take three long and deliberate steps in a spot where the clearing met the trees. What sent a chill down my spine and made me freeze for what seemed a moment of forever in that second was that it seemed like it turned its head and looked right at me and where I was sitting as it took its third step and reentered the forest. I just sat there for another 10 minutes feeling frozen in place going over what I just saw. Once I shook that frozen feeling, I got to my feet and went back to the cabin all of us were staying at as fast as I could. I only told one person about this after it happened and they just found it to be a nice and creepy story before everyone turned in for the night. And it still haunts me to this day when I think about it.” M
