Couple Experiences UNEXPLAINED GLITCHES While Walking Home
An Ohio couple is walking home from the grocery store when they suddenly start to experience unexplained oddities, including strange-acting people, sound changes & lost time.
I recently received the following account:
"My partner and I were walking home from the grocery store in October 2022. It’s about 6 blocks from the store to our house along a busy street in our small Ohio city. As we are walking and chatting we both observe two men smoking cigars on the side of the road. We pass by them and they both look at us. They start making weird comments that seemed aggressive. We both had the feeling it was somehow directed toward us. We don’t look back and keep walking.
At this point, we both realize everything has gone very quiet and there are no cars passing us by. The cars up ahead aren’t moving. We can hear music coming from a cafe at the end of the block. Then someone on the other side of the road (that we can hear but not see) is completely freaking out, screaming, and just going crazy.
Everything felt so unsettling to both of us and we comment on the quiet and how it was so odd. We reach the end of the block where the cafe is and it’s like we have been thrown into a wall of noise. We suddenly hear cars and they all start moving past loudly. Bikes start going by, ringing bells, and basically all the “city sounds” come back in full force. It was so incredibly bizarre to go from this unnatural unsettling quiet to everything “back to normal” suddenly.
We spoke about it and both experienced this in the exact same way. I also had an inexplicable “feeling” that we had been at a different time at that moment. Not sure why it was just a feeling.
We walk home feeling a bit unsettled. We also pass two guys on the street who look exactly the same (with messed up freaky, inhuman faces) that gave off extremely aggressive vibes. We again had the same feeling of “this isn’t right.”
We get home and our son acted like we had been out for ages. I checked on my phone when we had checked out at the grocery store and the walk that usually takes 10 minutes took over 30 minutes.
I don’t know what happened but even a week later I felt shaken by it. I actively avoid walking down the same block for the past 2 months. It seems so small but we were totally freaked out by it. It all just felt so wrong and sinister.
Have you ever heard of similar experiences? I can’t get it out of my head and it's so weird that my partner and I experienced it all in exactly the same way." MP
NOTE: Because of the time differential I believe that the couple experienced a time slip or glitch. It's difficult to determine when it actually occurred or happened multiple times. Very odd account. Lon

Colorado Elk Hunter Observes BIGFOOT PAIR Meticulously Stalk Herd For Hours
An elk hunter was in the White River National Forest, CO. While observing a large elk herd, he watched as two Bigfoot meticulously stalk them. It is an amazing account!
"This happened in October 2004 while elk hunting the White River National Forest in Northwest Colorado. This area contains the largest migrating elk herd in North America. I'm not a Colorado resident but traveled to hunt elk. I made my camp high up to get closer to the Elk River, weather permitting. I could wake up early and get to the meadow before sunrise.
I woke up the next morning and was off to my spot. I arrived about 20 minutes before sunrise and was very still. I could make out the shapes of elk in the middle of the meadow about five to six hundred yards away from me. The herd was mostly cows that I could see and numbered at least a hundred. I slowly got my gear ready just in case the herd got closer. I laid my rifle down alongside me. It was amazing to observe elk in the wild.
As I scanned the herd I noticed how tight together they were and then something occurred to me. This herd wasn't grazing, but they all seemed to be staring at one of the two large cows. The whole herd would shift its position as if on command from the lead cow elk. I scanned the edge to see if I could locate any blaze orange. Could it be other hunters I thought? I didn't see anything. Maybe they were well hidden, but the wind wasn't in their favor and I thought a black bear or even a mountain lion might be stalking the herd. That was a good 100 to 200 yards away from any cover to the edge of the elk herd. The lead cow would make small position changes and the whole herd would move in unison but stay mostly in the middle of the meadow. Then I thought maybe some big bulls are following the herd, but the rut was over. I kept glassing the whole time looking for any sign.
By this time the sun had risen and while there was still a nice chill in the air it was warming up. I wondered how long this herd would stay in the open. After about 30 minutes something caught my attention about 200 yards away. I saw through my binoculars two very large dark figures crawl out of the tree line towards a patch of three tall evergreen trees in front of me. What amazed me was the speed at which these two animals these two shapes moved. They covered the open ground and stopped, They were crawling like Army soldiers. They crawled with such efficiency and speed that is hard to decipher what they could have been. They definitely weren't black bears as the size was too big.
They didn't notice me as I still had the wind in my face I had a good cover and I didn't move. I had on camo except for my blaze orange vest. I take my orange hat off and I put on a warmer black stocking cap. I was in an elevated position and this allowed me to watch their every move. I observed these two things lift their heads up from a flat laying position in the grass and peek towards the herd of elk. I got momentary glimpses of them. As they did this my mind couldn't process what I was seeing. What were they, I kept thinking to myself? I shifted my binoculars towards the elk herd which was still making small position changes while concentrating on something on the opposite side of me.
After an hour of no movement, the elk had started to spread out a little, with the exception of the lead cow. She stood and watched the tree line. She would dip her head and wag her tail. Her ears were up the whole time, keeping alert. Whatever I saw earlier I think was still over by the tree. I wanted to bring my rifle up to try to zoom in on the scope but I feared moving. Just as I thought about finally doing so I heard a couple of chirps like birds make. Then I heard another chirping sound from the area where I saw these two things. That made one of these things get up and move parallel to the herd of elk. Once again this thing moved at such great speed and efficiency. It didn't crawl but this time ran in a squatted position. It took up a position about 100 yards away from the other one and I lost sight of it. It was now above the elk herd while the other one was below it.
I then started to figure out that whatever this was on the other side of the meadow was trying to drive the herd toward my side. Again I heard the sound of birds chirping and I waited. The next movement I detected I would grab my rifle which is behind me. My heart was pounding so hard that I'm surprised they didn't hear it. I wasn't afraid of what I saw but I was afraid of being detected. I just couldn't process what I was witnessing and I thought because of my inexperience hunting in the west I didn't know what I was seeing. I shifted my focus toward the herd which was still slowly moving around. Again, more chirping sounds came from across the meadow from me. This caused the lead cow elk to switch positions to the opposite side of the herd.
Then, as if directed by the lead cow, they took off straight up the meadow away from me. The whole time they didn't get close to the edge of the meadow. I quickly reached down, grabbed my rifle, and shouldered it. I scanned the area for movement from the two that I saw. Again I heard the chirping sounds. The one closest to me slowly rose up using the trees as cover. It was on two feet bent over at the waist peeking out between the tree branches. I aimed the scope on this thing and increased the power. I could definitely see it was no bear. It was not a man. It was a Bigfoot. It was at least eight to nine feet tall. It had to weigh 800 pounds. Its shoulders were wide with a cover of matted hair. I would describe it as a buffalo standing on two feet minus the horns. It was black in color with a large head compared to the other one. It appeared to be larger in size. It never turned toward me.
I scanned up and down looking at this thing through my rifle scope. The longer I looked the calmer I became. I even thought about how calm I was. If I wanted to shoot this thing I'd have no problem holding my rifle steady. My next thought was to try and get my camera which is in my pack. I switched my attention to see what the elk herd was doing. They had stopped and they were again in a tight bunch. They all were looking at the edge of the meadow opposite me. They started to slowly move toward me.
By now it's 11 AM. That's late. It was still chilly, maybe in the 40s. I forget the elk would have wanted to move into the dark timber but they stayed in the middle of the meadow. The Bigfoot had lowered itself back down and was now laying alongside the clump of trees. I started to feel a small chill in the back of my neck and was thinking the wind was changing slightly. I could see clouds off in the distance and the weather had called for snow. This whole time I never thought about food, water, or even taking a piss. I was so locked in on what I was seeing and time seemed to fly by. I still wanted to get my camera but didn't want to risk moving.
Finally, I slowly set my rifle down next to me and slid my pack out. Just then I heard the whistling, but this time in rapid succession and from more than one position. I think I was busted. I froze and saw the Bigfoot ahead of me get up and turn heading toward the tree line. It never turned in my direction. Once again low to the ground. It moved Incredibly fast as if it were floating on air. I moved into the timber.
Then I felt fear as I thought how am I going to get back to my tent? I had to walk through the timber. Would these things be waiting for me? I finally got up and glassed the whole area looking for any signs of what I saw. I made it very slowly back to my tent. I got my things together and moved my camp down alongside the creek I made a small fire and stayed alert during the night.
I was emotionally drained and decided to call off my hunt. I packed up and made my way out of the wilderness."

Horrific Unknown SCREAMING BEAST ATTACKS Rural Maine Cabin at Night!
A Maine woman recalls her horrific experience while living in a rural cabin. An unknown screaming beast literally attacked the cabin, stalking the woman and her friend who were inside.
I recently received the following account:
"In 1981 my friends lived in a very rural cabin near Baxter State Park, Maine. The road was only traveled by the residents. You could drive on it and not expect to see any other cars. I was driving up there one night. As I went around the last bend before reaching the cabin an eight-foot-tall Sasquatch was standing on the side of the road. It was massive! It had to be four feet across the shoulders with brownish-blonde hair. I then noticed that it was a male. His skin was dark. The face had a long beard and looked both ape-like and human-like. He stood there motionless, looking at me. I was freaked out when my headlights were on him and we actually made contact. He was not 20 feet from me. I sped past and then into my friend's driveway. I ran into the cabin screaming that I had seen a huge Sasquatch.
A few years later I bought a small property near Mt. Blue State Park, Maine. One winter, a friend was visiting from Utah. My boyfriend and his friends went out on the snowmobiles at night. Later, we were inside the cabin and started hearing these bizarre growls, like no noise I'd ever heard before or since. The growls got louder and louder and then whatever this was started screaming, literally shaking the cabin. It was right outside! I ran toward the door and placed a board barricade through the loop. As soon as I did that something was pulling and shaking the door on the other side. Each time we changed our position in the cabin that part of the cabin would be attacked. We were terrified! My boyfriend had brought a pistol, so I grabbed it. We climbed the ladder to the bedroom. Whatever that thing was landed on the roof above us! Its screams were the scariest things you have ever heard and they're impossible to repeat.
Just as we thought our lives were over, we could hear the snowmobiles coming back. Whatever that thing was finally ran off. We told the guys what had happened and they went out to look for tracks. At first, they thought we were crazy until they saw huge unknown prints with long claw marks in the snow. There were deep scratches on the window frames and outside walls. My boyfriend was an experienced hunter. He couldn't explain the prints or the deep claw marks.
I soon moved out west to California. There is no way I was staying in that cabin, let alone in Maine." J

Messages From the Gods: Human History on Earth is Not What We Were Taught
I recently watched Graham Hancock's 'Ancient Apocalypse' on Netflix. I had been aware of Graham's theories in the past and have read his books. For the most part, and admittingly, I thought that most of what he stated was conjecture.
But over the years, I have come to believe that the actual history of our planet and its civilizations is much different than the academic interpretations.
Below, is a passage that I wrote several years ago. I have been fortunate to have experienced a few extraordinary events during my life. But one particular incident in December 2015 left an indelible impression that I can not ignore.
After I watched 'Ancient Apocalypse' and then went back to read Graham's writings, I recognized a parallel in the timelines in his research and the information that was given to me by, who I refer to as, the 'Tall Greys.'
I wrote the following passage in 'Alien Disclosure: Experiencer Expose Reality':
"All of us have either stated or have heard the same questions concerning the actuality of alien beings. Who are they? What do they want? Where did they come from?
There are more theories than any person can shake a stick at. I suppose some hypotheses are more plausible than others, though most researchers tend to take a particular favorite position, and then discount other arguments. In the past, I have attempted to be flexible when it comes to the subject of alien beings; also referred to as non-terrestrials, extraterrestrial biological entities, ETs, etc. But my rationale began to solidify when I started to document the continuing incidents of otherworldly activity experienced by a family living in the panhandle of Florida, and subsequent experiencer encounters.
Around the same period that I had begun working with this particular family, I had also initiated a daily regime of training in order to become a capable remote viewer. Combined with my natural intuitive abilities, I would then soon realize a series of strange existences beyond our dimensional reality.
Since 2008, it had become increasingly apparent to me that we are not alone as a single intelligent species in the cosmic ocean. But it has also become apparent that our Earth and overall humanity have attracted the attention of non-terrestrial beings over many millennia.
Why are these alien beings so concerned with Earth and its dominant human species? The most straightforward answer to that question is that we retain a connection to them.
After decades of research, investigation, and personal experience, I believe that early interaction between Earth’s inhabitants and otherworldly beings occurred between the 13th and 12th millennia BCE. I don’t sense that this was the first or only interchange, but I do consider it to be the most influential.
As the result of several remote viewing sessions and three personal non-terrestrial encounters (which includes a lost time event), an historical scenario was displayed to me. I witnessed a colossal disc-shaped craft descend and land in the area of the present-day Nile River delta. At that time, this location was completely encircled by the Mediterranean Sea, and this craft was later transformed into a massive and magnificent island. This was the genesis of a great empire that encompassed the surrounding indigenous people and land. The rulers of this empire were the occupants of the craft that landed there. Their knowledge was disseminated throughout the region, and their bloodline was merged with the native people.
The aliens communicated to me that this empire was the nexus of several dominant and lesser civilizations. I asked them; “Was this Atlantis?” There was no response to my question. I witnessed representations of various cultures that developed over millennia. Some were brief glimpses of time while others were mighty empires. But all had a direct connection to the occupants of the craft.
There was particular emphasis made on the development of the ancient Egyptians. I observed order created out of chaos; a civilization that was deeply influenced by the beliefs of the extraterrestrials. For thousands of years, there were continued interventions by the alien Gods.
I was presented with a particular series of events that occurred during Egypt’s 18th Dynasty. This has been classified as the first dynasty of the New Kingdom of Egypt, an era in which ancient Egypt achieved the peak of its power. A profound encounter occurred during the reign of Amenhotep III, which greatly affected the royal family and the Priesthood. This encounter was interpreted by Amenhotep III as a divine message that the Pharaoh was a God that rivaled Amun-Ra and the Priesthood. Amenhotep III’s display of power and disdain for the Priesthood was watched closely by his son Amenhotep IV (who later changed his name to Akhenaten). When Akhenaten became Pharaoh, he established a quasi-monotheistic belief in the solar deity Aten, which I believe was a representation of an alien being or craft.
What I observed over the years eventually altered my perception of human history; that our past is intertwined with extraterrestrial beings. Modern humans are a genetic extension of otherworldly species. I also believe that most of the alien entities that people encounter are biologically enhanced and evolved humans from our past and future.
But we must always keep in mind; they do have an agenda. I believe that agenda is an eventual technological and biological singularity.
My premise may become more apparent as you read this book. The experiences described in the accounts are brutally forthright. Some readers may be shocked by the details. But then again, I don’t believe that you would want me to present the information in any manner that isn’t consistent with the experiencers’ actual encounters." Lon Strickler

Glasgow Resident Observes 'GLIMMER MAN' ENTITY in Bedroom
A Scottish woman experiences a 'glimmer man' manifestation in her bedroom. What did she see? Was it her deceased friend or an otherworldly being? Interesting account.
I recently received the following account:
"This incident took place a few years ago in my flat in Glasgow, Scotland. I live in an old tenement building with a half dozen flats that was built in the late 1800s. A few months before it happened someone very close to me had died suddenly, very violently. I hadn't been sleeping well as a result of their death. I share my flat with my partner so I wasn't alone when this happened.
He was sleeping next to me. There was a small table next to the bed. I would often watch online movies until 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning. I would often wake up with nightmares or just weird vivid dreams.
The incident took place when I was awake. I was watching something on YouTube and kind of dozing off and on at around 3:00 in the morning. I figured I'd go to the bathroom before I tried to go to sleep. So, I would get up and go to the toilet, then go back to bed.
After I returned to bed from the toilet, the first thing that happened was I turned off the iPad. I decided I was going to try to go to sleep and was lying in bed. I then had this bad feeling, like an ominous feeling and I caught something out of the corner of my eye. I looked up and it was this kind of rectangular static cloud floating above me, maybe a foot and a half above my head. It sounds kind of silly but I'd been kind of saying in my mind, to my friend who had died, if you're going show yourself to me, if there's life after death, do it in a dream. Do it in some other way. I don't think I can handle seeing you.
As I was watching this weird cloud, I thought that maybe this is how she shows herself to me. But it didn't feel positive. It felt a little scary and it was like this rectangular kind of like boiling static above me and at first, I thought that my eyes are tired. I've been watching Netflix all night so I looked away, blinked a few times, and looked back up it was still there. I started to become really afraid and I think at some point I got up and went into the other room and watch TV. I just wanted to get out of the situation.
A month or two later a similar thing occurred. I've got a little dresser across from me so it's kind of like a narrow hallway between me and the wall. I'm lying there, turned off Netflix, and turned off my iPad. Something catches my eye. A figure of a stocky man of average height. It was a heatwave-like texture to this silhouette with very clear edges. I could see red-glowing almond-shaped eyes. I was just lying there watching it and afraid. I wasn't sure what to do. It didn't come toward me or anything, but it just felt ominous the way that it looked at me. Its shoulders were hunched as it moved across my room and when it passed my field of vision I hid my head under the blankets and waited for several minutes. I finally gathered the strength to look out. It was gone.
It never happened again. I later read something about the 'glimmer man' phenomenon and I determined that this was what I experienced. Was it alien or spirit? I don't know." D
NOTE: Many people believe that the 'Glimmer Man' effect is a manner of cloaking. I'm not sure what to think. In this instance, it may have been just another spirit manifestation that took on the 'glassine' or 'Predator' alien look. Your thoughts? Lon

Camper's BIGFOOT ENCOUNTER at White Rock in Michaux State Forest, PA (VIDEO)
The following account was shared by 'The Wandering Woodsman' on YouTube. This gentleman is a school teacher from Berks County, PA who travels throughout the Mid-Atlantic exploring and researching locations of interest.
In this episode, he is at White Rock, PA which is located in Michaux State Forest in south-central Pennsylvania:
"So this is dated June 2017 at White Rocks, Pennsylvania, where we're at. Night camping near the edge of a rock face called Brown Rock. During the night, while I had my small campfire, I keep feeling like I'm being watched. We could never see anything. About 30 yards from where my hammock was set up there was a nice flat spot.
Half an hour after putting out my fire leaves were brushed about and there were branch snaps for about 15 minutes. It ended with a loud grunt/roar and it took off at full speed through the woods. Then it let out the sound two more times, like a small grunt and a roar. It was fast. It was a little after midnight and the footfalls were very heavy. So not like a little raccoon or something.
It left for about 10 minutes only to return and repeat the same actions as before for about 10-15 minutes. Then it was gone, I never heard it come back or leave."
NOTE: This location is in the southern part of Michaux State Forest, just east of Pond Bank, PA. It is also near the Mont Alto State Park. It can be reached off of US-30 at Rocky Mountain Rd. south (The Totem Pole Playhouse turnoff).
This is an area I am familiar with because of the numerous Bigfoot and cryptid canine reports I have received in the past from this general locale. If you are familiar with the discovery of the Waynesboro Reservoir 'Bigfoot Tracks' , this location is approximately 5 miles northwest of the dam.
For those interested, the Raven Rock Mountain Military Facility ( "The Underground Pentagon") is only 10 miles southeast of White Rocks near the Mason-Dixon line. Lon

High Strangeness For The Holidays
A vintage Christmas tree ornament, a St. Bernard dog, suddenly disappears after a night of strange, unexplained activity. 2 previously missing ornaments are, however, returned to the tree.
I received the following account from a reader several years ago:
"Mr. Strickler - I wanted to tell you about a few strange incidents I experienced several years ago during the holiday season.
I am a collector of vintage Christmas ornaments and have done so for over 30 years. The day after Thanksgiving, I received a telephone call from a local auctioneer who had just received a consignment that included several rare handmade ornaments. The next week, I attended the auction and was delighted after obtaining several of these fine pieces at very reasonable prices. One ornament, in particular, stood out from the rest. It was a porcelain figure of a St. Bernard dog, hand-crafted in pre-WWII Poland
Each Christmas, I select my favorite ornaments from my collection to display on my tree. I was very proud of the recently obtained St. Bernard dog ornament and wanted to show it off to my friends and family.
One morning last week, I noticed that the ornament had fallen from the tree and was laying on the carpet. The string that attached it to the tree branch was not torn and I felt fortunate that it had not broken. I just placed it back on the tree.
That evening, I was sitting in the living room reading a magazine when I started to hear a 'ringing' sound coming from the tree. It was like a sound of a porcelain bell. The sound lasted for a few seconds then suddenly stopped. About an hour later, the ringing sound started again but this time it was a bit louder and lasted for almost a minute. I looked at the tree but could not tell where the sound was coming from. I just assumed it was coming from outside the house.
That night, I was laying in bed asleep (around 11:45 pm) when I thought I heard heavy footsteps coming down my upstairs hallways towards my bedroom. I got up, looked around the house, and rechecked the intruder alarm. I was in the kitchen checking the outside door when I heard footsteps rapidly going up the stairs to the second floor. I live alone, so I was very concerned. I called 911 just to be safe.
The police looked around the property to make sure it was safe. I live in a small community where everyone knows everybody else's business, so anything out of the ordinary is common knowledge the next day. The police assured me that they would not make a report. They soon left and told me to call back if I noticed anything unusual. I thought that was an odd statement but I appreciated their concern.
I walked up the stairs and turned towards my bedroom. As soon as I got to the bedroom door I noticed it. The St. Bernard ornament was on my nightstand. Now I was freaked out. I have never experienced any paranormal activity though I love to read about these things. Now it was happening to me.
I picked up the ornament, walked downstairs, and placed it back on the tree. I looked at it for a minute or two and then noticed that two other ornaments were missing. I looked on the carpet but nothing was there. After looking around for several minutes I decided to go back to bed and look again in the morning.
The next morning, I woke and walked downstairs. I entered the living room and immediately noticed that the St. Bernard ornament was missing from the tree - but the two ornaments that were missing the night before were back on the tree. I looked all over the house, but the ornament was gone.
It has been almost a week and the St. Bernard ornament is still missing, but there has been no further activity since it disappeared. I cannot explain any of this. Are you familiar with this type of activity? I hesitate to speculate what is going on and really don't want anybody coming into my house to investigate.

'Big John': A Christmas Story (...Well, kinda)
The following account is a bit of a holiday tradition here at Phantoms & Monsters. I was going to read it for our Creepy Christmas Cheer Show, but due to Vincent and Bernadette getting sick, the show was canceled. So, I decided to dust it off and post. I hope you enjoy it.
This story was forwarded to me in 1998. I was told that it is a true tale despite the bizarre details. Even though it is holiday related, I had some reservations since there is a combination of death and Christmas. Nonetheless, I receive many requests from other bloggers to use their sites:
Hello – I have a disturbing Christmas-related story that took place in a remote small town located on Mount Desert Island, Maine. My name is George and I have lived here all of my life. I hesitate to name the town since this story could carry unintended consequences for the residents. I know that the story is true because I was a witness to it.
It started in early December 1960 when I was age 12. Each week, my mother and I would walk to the local supply store in order to stock up on whatever we needed at the time. We didn’t have the car because my father used it for his work as a state employee. He was away from home for several days at a time. The walk wasn’t too far but it was a bit hard during the winter since we had heavy snow at times.
The store was owned by a wiry old man name ‘Big John’ Corneau. Big John was well-known in the area since he was a sort of legend after he had saved the life of a girl in the 1930’s who had been attacked by a rogue grey wolf. He would show the scars on his arms from the confrontation to the local kids when they would come into the store with their parents. Big John was also a storyteller – and I mean some real whopper tales, especially when it pertained to his personal history.
On this particular day, I was admiring Big John’s small Christmas tree with wooden ornaments that he claimed he carved himself. There were all sorts of animals, including bears, elephants, tigers, etc. There must have been 50 or so wooden ornaments. As I stood in amazement of the detail in these carvings Big John walked up to me and sat down in a rocking chair beside the wood stove. He lit his small black pipe, sat back and rocked away while watching me examining the Christmas tree. After a minute or so, John asked me if I believed in Santa Claus. I was surprised by the question but assured him that I no longer believed in the legend. John looked away, smiled and said “well, that’s good. I didn’t want you to be disappointed this year.” I was confused by his statement. What did he mean?
A few days later, my mother asked me to walk to the store for a few items she needed. My aunt had stopped over for a visit and my mother was busy with her so I made the lone jaunt. This wasn’t unusual since I was now old enough to do this on my own. When I reached the store, Big John was sitting in the rocking chair reading a magazine. He looked up and asked me if he could talk to me. I sat down on the small chair on the other side of the wood stove anticipating one of Big John’s tall tales. What he told me was more than I ever expected.
Big John’s demeanor started to change – whatever he was going to tell me was probably more serious than one of his typical parables. He looked into my eyes and said “something unusual happened last Christmas Eve.” He paused - then continued “I saw the dead body of Santa Claus.” Well, I’m not sure what my facial expression was but I can tell you what I was thinking – this old man was four quarters short of a dollar. Again he said “I really did see Santa Claus’ dead body.” I’m thinking to myself…why is he telling me this? He started to explain what happened.
Last Christmas Eve he was at home getting ready for the drive to his sister’s house on Christmas Day. He then heard a huge crashing sound in the woods near the house. He looked out the bedroom window but couldn’t see anything, so he decided to investigate. The snow was very deep all around the property and into the woods. It was a clear cold night and the moonlight was bright. Big John held a camp lantern in front of him as he made his way through the pine forest. Then he saw something lying in the snow. As he got closer he noticed a man with a blood-stained white beard and hair dressed in a tattered red-colored coat and pants. Big John knelt down to check the man’s condition. It was obvious that he was dead. In fact the body was terribly mangled though there was little noticeable blood. The body looked as if it had been dead for a few days. Big John explained that he reported finding the body to the authorities who soon retrieved the remains. He said that the police told him that they wanted to keep the death quiet until they determined the identification of the deceased. He agreed not to mention the incident.
I asked Big John “why are you telling me?” He smiled and said “because I have to tell someone.” He got up from his rocking chair, walked behind the counter and reached into a drawer. He walked back toward me and handed me a pair of wire frames without the lenses. “Take these….these belonged to Santa Claus”. I placed the wire frames in my pocket and told Big John that I had to get going because it was getting late. I bought the items I came for and hurriedly left the store – my head was buzzing all the way home.
For two days I wondered why Big John decided to tell me the story. I eventually determined that this was just another one of Big John’s ruses. I placed the wire frames in a shoebox and pushed it deep into the recesses of my messy closet.
On Christmas Eve my mother came home after walking to the store. I was sitting at the table working on a new jigsaw puzzle. I heard her asking someone on the telephone if they knew why Big John’s store was closed. By this time my father was home so he decided to drive to Big John’s house to make sure he was OK. After an hour or so my father returned and said that Big John wasn’t home but his car was in the driveway. He had also noticed smoke coming from the chimney so the fireplace was still burning. He decided to call the local sheriff and make an inquiry.
After several days no one had seen Big John. His relatives and friends were contacted but no one had any information. The sheriff was finally convinced that something was wrong so he entered the house. Nothing unusual was found – no clues as to Big John’s whereabouts. The next logical place to look was the store. Here is where the story gets fuzzy.
I had no knowledge of what the sheriff had found until my father told me a few years later. While searching the inside of the store, the sheriff and a deputy found a large mound of old rugs in the middle of the ground cellar floor. The deputy started to remove the rugs until he started to notice an unmistakable odor. Before he removed more rugs the district coroner was called to the location. What they discovered was both unusual and confusing. There were skeletal remains of a human body with a tattered red coat and pants. Well, I’m sure my jaw noticeably dropped. I told my father the story Big John had told me – eventually I told the same to the sheriff. I also retrieved the pair of wireframes and handed it over to the State Police.
Since that time I have not heard or seen anything further concerning this incident. I suppose there are various scenarios that could be created from the story but I just wish I knew what happened to Big John.
NOTE: at the time I received this story (1998) there had been no further information on Big John Corneau or the body found in the cellar. I did confirm (through a constable in Ellsworth, Maine who had acquaintances living nearby) that a situation with a few similar circumstances did occur in a hamlet in the northeast section of the island very near the Acadia National Park in the early 1960s. He was unfamiliar with 'Big John' Corneau or if the case was resolved. Lon

BIGFOOT Lore From the APPALACHIAN TRAIL
A frequent Appalachian Trail hiker describes the variety of supposed Bigfoot howls that he has heard while on the trail. He also recalls some of the past unexplained incidents on the AT.
The following account was recently forwarded to me:
"I'm a frequent hiker on the Appalachian Trail near my home in southwestern Virginia. I love being outdoors. I've also been a Bigfoot enthusiast for most of my life but my obsession with the subject is relatively recent. But I never thought I'd have any confirmation of their existence for myself. The following incident is true and can be corroborated by multiple witnesses.
I and a small crew of friends section hike the Appalachian Trail. The first time I heard a Bigfoot call happened when the three of us were hiking together. We decided to stay the night in one of the AT shelters for the first evening. I'm not fond of staying in shelters. The hard wooden shelter floors are rough on my back and I needed to get a good sleep if I'm going to have an enjoyable day of hiking.
The next night I pitched my tent behind the shelter and immediately made my bed and laid down. I was very tired. I had a snack and I was soon dozing off. There were two other groups of section hikers staying at and around the shelter that night. One was a group of three guys who all stayed in the shelter and the other was a couple of middle-aged women. Everyone was fixing dinner and chatting while I lay quietly in my tent. Down the hill from the shelter was a creek. So between the conversations, the camp stoves loudly boiling water for dinners, and the creek it was kind of noisy in front of the shelter. I was behind it so it was easier for me to hear the sounds of the vast woods in the distance.
Out toward the ridge, I hear this call. It's a howl, but I don't know how to describe it but it was unusual. There was a dramatic tone change that lasted for a long duration. I had never heard anything like it before. It was far enough away, that I couldn't hear it very well. After a while, I did hear it again. This time, there were other calls along with it. I listened closely, but I was so tired that I dozed off.
I was sleeping lightly and the next howl woke me up. It had moved. It was across the creek in front of the shelter and down the trail coming from where we had been earlier in the day. The howl was too long and too loud to be a man. A pack of coyotes joined in from the distance. After that all was quiet and I fell asleep. I didn't dare get out of my tent. I wasn't scared but I was cautious.
The next morning we all got up as usual and started making breakfast. I brought up the subject from the previous night's howls. Immediately one of the guys with the other group said that they'd been backpacking for 20 years and they had never heard anything like that. Then one of the ladies in the third group walked up and she said that she and her friends had been talking about it. She was sure that it was a Bigfoot. I'm glad that she said it and not me.
Later on, before we all got back on the trail, the same woman told me that the subject of Bigfoot is not usually discussed by AT hikers. There have been a few harrowing encounters not far from where we were, mainly in the George Washington National Forest. One hiker was supposedly attacked and killed by an unknown beast. Also, there had been rumors of Men in Black or government agents harassing hikers in the past.
I'm not sure about what she told me, but I later read about many unexplained incidents occurring on the Appalachian Trail. I'm much more cautious from here on out. M"

8+ Foot Tall HOWLING UPRIGHT CRYPTID CANINE Reported Near Frackville, Pennsylvania
A Morea, Pennsylvania resident reports a recent sighting of an 8+ foot tall black upright canine observed crossing the road in from their sister and son. The witnesses stated that the beast howled.
I recently received the following report:
"Last Saturday, the 17th of December at around midnight on Industrial Rd. near where I live in Morea, Pennsylvania. My sister and son were driving back from dinner and shopping.
They both saw a jet-black upright wolf-like creature the size of an outhouse (8+ feet tall) run across the road in front of them. My son said the moon was bright and three inches of snow were on the ground. He said it looked human-like. He also states that it moved extremely fast as it ran across the road in front of them.
This is a road located about 1 mile from Frackville, Pennsylvania, and nearly 2 miles from Morea, Pennsylvania. My son said that it howled. Thought you should know." SB
The funny thing is that I did not hear of this until just now 8PM on December 21st. I was in the woods at a Bigfoot gifting site that very day. The atmosphere was not the same. This may have been a warning from Bigfoot. I only ever felt something like this once previously. I think that this cryptid canine may still be in the area. I heard not one bird the whole 2 hours I was out in the woods today." SB
NOTE: I know the writer and have been aware of their many years of Bigfoot contact and gifting. I've learned to trust their instincts.

According to SB, the atmosphere was not the same. This may have been a warning from Bigfoot. They only ever felt something like this once previously and they think that this cryptid canine may still be in the area. SB heard not one bird the whole 2 hours they were out in the woods.
