Ohio Mother Encounters 7-FOOT-TALL UPRIGHT CRYPTID CANINE Outside Her Home

After discovering a ritual location along a river near Lima, Ohio, the witness' mother not long after has a horrifying encounter with a 7-foot-tall upright cryptid canine outside of their home.

I recently received the following account:

"Hello, I don't read all of the stories posted on your site but this one struck me. I grew up in a town called Lima, Ohio and this is my story.

For many years the "old-timers" coming in from the middle rural areas south of Lima would talk about three sightings of the 'Ohio Grassman.' One of them I'd spoken to as a teenager even claimed to have trapped one in his barn to prove that he wasn't crazy. He awoke to find the barn door in splinters in the field surrounding it. These are the stories that first got me interested in cryptids from our area.

But this isn't about the Grassman. Neither is it about the strange lights and stories that were featured in a film about my high school, Shawnee, in an Amazon Prime movie.

There is a place southwest of Lima, a bridge actually that the locals refer to add the Coven Bridge. Far out there in the farm area and not a lot of residences. Not many of the kids in the area knew about it because it was far out in the country. The legend was that this bridge was a meeting place for a group of people who practiced black magic and the sort. It was also said that they believed in lycanthropy and were there to summon that power.

On that, at this place, a group of about 8 of us hopped into a can on a Friday night looking for a thrill. Not much to do in a small town.

To shorten the story I'll tell you that shortly after arriving at this dank, black water in the middle of nowhere my friend and I decided that we could venture down to the underside of this very old, metal-frame bridge. It was a full moon and I know this sounds like a horror movie setup, but the moonlight reflecting off of the still water was the only way we noticed what we discovered under there. The old bridge was supported along the shallow banks by flat river rock and from the moonlight, it appeared that some dark, oozing fluid was running down the sides of this wall. When my friend lit his zippo we realized that it was not blood but candle wax. Some person has gone through the trouble of drilling out the rock in over a dozen places to insert brass sleeves and to place stick candles. The place had been used for quite some time, based on the amount of wax, for some ritualistic purposes, based on the drawings of animals and symbols.

A few months later, in the summer, I took my mother there, as she was interested to see these types of things.

Fast forward a short time later into the summer/fall, my mom was arriving home from work after dark. Where we lived in our quiet neighborhood, our backyard ended at a farmer's field for 50 acres or so then woods. We lived in a pretty rural area ourselves. She drives her car up to the house and as she parks, her headlights are shining on the closed garage door. She stated that she thought my dad was outside standing in front of the garage door until whatever it was stood up straight and was about 7 feet tall, hunched with long arms, about like a dog. It looked directly at the car with the headlights shining on it then quickly hopped over the hood of her Buick and ran across the field to the woods.

She was very shaken by this ordeal. When she finally came into the house and was, as expected, visibly upset and crying. It took a while for my dad to calm her down.

For decades after the incident and even until she passed this year she refused to talk about it. She said it upset her too much and she wanted to forget it." JR

Hungry BIGFOOT Observed From Huntingdon County, PA Hunting Cabin

A young teen girl recalls an incident at their family's hunting cabin in a remote area of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. She insists that she saw a Bigfoot the night before deer season.

The following account was recently forwarded to me:

"There was an incident that I recall in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania in 1972 when I was a young teen. My father's family owned a remote cottage that they used for hunting. It was in a heavily wooded area about 50 miles home in the town of Huntingdon. The men on my father's side of the family were all deer hunters. My mother, grandmother, sister, and I would drive to the cottage the day before Thanksgiving while picking up groceries for the holiday. The men would come in later after they got off work.

We would arrive and unpack the car, get settled, and start to set up for the holiday. My grandfather would bring boxes of apples he got from a few trees in his yard at home. My sister and I would help him cut the apples in halves and throw them out in the front yard of the cottage in order to attract deer after dark. My sister and I would take turns watching from the window to see if any bucks would come in to feed on the apples.

That evening the adults were playing a game of cards. It was my turn to take the flashlight and watch the yard for deer in the front yard. I turned it on and I didn't see any deer. I shined the light on the ground around the tree and noticed that all the apples were gone. I didn't see anything. leaned into the window and I shined the flashlight over into the tree line as far as I could. Then something caught my eye. as I panned the light I moved back to the spot I had passed just a second before. I stopped and looked. Something seemed different to me. It looked like I was seeing a man standing in the tree line facing me. I could see a body and I could see a face mixed in with small tree trunks and brush. I was too young, I suppose, to be alarmed. The adults were talking loudly and I really didn't want to bother them.

I finally, without emotion, said, 'Hey, there's a man down in the yard by the trees.' Immediately all the adult banter stopped. My father, my uncle, and my grandfather all jumped up from the table and grabbed their rifles. I was a bit startled by them moving so quickly and all grabbing their guns. My dad rushed to the window beside me to look out. My mother and grandmother hovered around the window trying to see out. My uncle opened the front door and ran onto the front porch. My grandfather took his rifle and ran to the basement where a door led out into the front yard area. My mother grabbed the flashlight and shined it all over the yard. My father asked me, again and again, what did I see was I sure that I saw a man. I saw him standing right there in the tree line. We had neighbors in the area but they were a quarter-mile away. No person with any common sense would have been roaming through the woods at night with the hunting season started. It's a good recipe for getting shot.

Nothing was there as the light shined all over the yard. My grandfather went out into the yard from the basement and looked all around but he didn't see or hear anything. He finally came back in. They decided that I just saw some tree trunks in the light of the flashlight and they resembled a person. But I know what I saw.

I had never heard any weird sounds or any of my family talking about a strange incident in those woods. But as time has passed, I have heard of numerous Bigfoot sightings in that same area. I truly believe that a Bigfoot came into the yard and grabbed the apples that we had put out for the deer. It may have even scared the deer since we never saw any in the yard that night. On another note, none of the men harvested a deer at the cabin that year. That had never happened before or since " L

Experiencer Recalls His CHRISTMAS DAY ALIEN ABDUCTION as a Child

An experiencer recalls his Christmas Day abduction as a 12-year-old child. He details the ordeal and refers to it as his 'special dreams.' It's an interesting, though brief, account.

"I saw a UFO in 1978 on Christmas Day. My mom and Dad saw it also. I was so excited as a 12-year-old child that I went to sleep on the top bunk bed and 'dreamed' that I was being lifted up on a craft. My body couldn't move as I was being lifted in a force field.

Upon entering the craft I could feel my body begin to move again. I was covering my eyes and I felt 2 taps on my shoulder. I turned around and it was 3 of them. One was a female. She said, "Don't be afraid. We are not going to harm you. We only chose you because we knew you were more curious than afraid."

They showed me all around the craft. The floors were made of cushions. They explained that they fly with their mind and manually. I asked if I could fly it. They said that I wouldn't comprehend their technology. I said could learn. They replied that I would have to erase everything that I learned on Earth first, then I would have to learn their history and technology. 

They taught me how to communicate with them with my mind and how to fast forward psychically. For example, one day we will be communicating with other worlds to help us live longer, and they would teach us how to build a craft that will take us to other planets. It is really too much to write but just sharing my 'special dream.' I asked them if I will remember this. They said when I grow up 40 or 50 years later. I will remember this as if it happened yesterday, every feeling and emotion. She said it's a technology of theirs that's called 'Reverse Memory.' I never told anyone this story other than my family. I figured I'll share it here." CB

From Keller Venus Files:  Adamski arrives at the Copenhagen Airport in Denmark on 29 April 1963, bringing a message of love from our brothers and sisters of Venus and other worlds in the Galactic Confederation.

Scandinavian UFO Information (SUFOI) Invitation

The Scandinavian UFO Information (SUFOI) was established as a public interest group in the city of Sunds, situated on the mainland area of Denmark, called Jylland in Danish or Jutland in English, on 17 December 1957 by the late Danish Air Force Major Hans C. Petersen for the express purpose of “promoting information and carrying out research about unidentified flying objects.”  

SUFOI’s structure was organized into three departments:  Research, Reports Collection, and Information Dissemination. SUFOI still exists today and publishes the quarterly UFO-Nyt as well as UFO-Vision, a yearbook of UFO literature, both of these in the Danish language.  Occasionally, SUFOI comes out with a special Newsletter in English.  Their current address is P.O. Box 6, DK 2820 Gentofte, Denmark. Their website is http://www.cufo.dk.

In 1963, Petersen was still serving as SUFOI director.  While his organization clearly maintained an objective policy regarding the extraterrestrial hypothesis (ETH) with respect to the origin of some of the UFOs in our skies, the majority of the membership was not yet willing to go along with a full-endorsement that even a few of the UFO reports could decisively be attributed to the arrival of advanced extraterrestrial beings piloting flying saucers, which could be interpreted to mean interplanetary spaceships.  However, the SUFOI members would never flinch at allowing advocates of the ETH, to include the contactees, from speaking at SUFOI meetings and conferences.

Of all the contactees on the worldwide ufology scene in 1963, Petersen was fully convinced that George Adamski from Southern California, the author of three books about his encounters with Venusians and other extraterrestrials, would prove to be an outstanding speaker at the next SUFOI conference.  As the director of the group, his recommendation for the keynote speaker would certainly carry the most weight.  

Based on his readings of Adamski’s books, along with his own research into the UFO phenomenon, Petersen came to the following conclusions:  

1. People from other worlds in our (solar) system are visiting our planet.

2. People from other worlds are in contact with certain political and scientific circles in the East and West.

3. People from all walks of life, official and unofficial, all over the world, have been contacted by people from other worlds; such contacts have been kept secret so far.  

4. The philosophy brought to the world by Mr. George Adamski is considered an aid in helping to uncover the truth of our origin and our future destiny.  

Clearly, this information seems to have been a bit too much for the majority of conference planners to accept all at once, lock, stock and barrel.  Nevertheless, and despite Petersen’s attempts to convince them to accept the Venus Gospel according to Adamski as their guiding philosophy, at least an invitation to Adamski was formulated in order that the members might make up their minds on an individual basis with respect to the California contactee’s claims.  

Brief Biography of George Adamski

George Adamski was born in Poland on 17 April 1891.  When he was but one-and-a-half years old, his parents immigrated to the United States, meeting up with relatives already established in Dunkirk, New York, and settling in there.  His parents were deeply Roman Catholic and great lovers of nature, instilling in their son a quest for spiritual knowledge and a closeness to the natural environment.  

The young Adamski attended public elementary school and after the eighth grade continued with private lessons tailored to his interests and paid for by his loving parents.  He served time as a soldier in the 13th Cavalry, garrisoned on the Mexican border, and was honorably discharged in 1919.  On 25 December 1917, he married Mary A. Shubersky, who remained with him until her death in 1954.  

At the age of 39 George and Mary Adamski moved out to Laguna Beach, California, where he set up shop as a teacher of Eastern Philosophy.  Although George did not have a formal degree from any institution of higher learning, his students called him “Professor” because he was so proficient in most of the mystic arts, thereby instructing his followers in various methods they could employ in developing the sundry extrasensory powers latent within them.   Word of his vast knowledge and cordial personality spread far and wide throughout the Southern California listening area, and soon he was delivering metaphysical lectures over radio stations KMPC in Los Angeles and KFOX in Long Beach.

Adamski had a vision of establishing a community based on universal laws.  With some of his pupils from Laguna Beach, he and Mary moved out with the best of these students to form a colony at the base of Mount Palomar, where the then-largest telescope in the world was located, being a 200-inch reflector.  As Adamski was well informed on the Theosophical teachings of the gurus and masters of the Far East, he came to recognize that some of them were in telepathic contact with advanced beings from other planets.  

The great Hindu metaphysician, Paramahansa Yogananda, always a constant inspiration for Adamski, after being inspired to move from India to the United States, had established his Self-Realization Fellowship in Los Angeles in 1917.  Yogananda preached in his Bhagavad Gita commentaries that he knew for a fact that there was life on other planets.  According to Joseph Selbie, a prominent disciple of Yogananda, the most enlightened guru revealed that “Souls continue to reincarnate on Earth until they achieve liberation, and they also incarnate on other planets.”  Selbie also noted that Yogananda would frequently point out that extraterrestrials can be found in many different planetary environments and even other dimensions of time and space and that not all maintain a recognizably human-like appearance.  Some beings are composed of pure light and refined energy such that they remain invisible to those without spiritual discernment on the material plane. During the great meteor storm of 1946, Adamski and his students at Palomar observed a large cigar-shaped object that remained motionless for some time above a mountain ridge to the east of the telescope complex.  It was at this time that Adamski’s interest in unidentified flying objects was aroused.  From then on until 20 November 1952, when he and a party of six others had physical contact with a flying saucer and its occupant, Adamski was taking photographs of the mysterious objects and coming to the conclusion that these were interplanetary spaceships.  

Details of his initial contact are found in his first non-fiction bestselling book, co-authored with the British nobleman Sir Desmond Leslie, Flying Saucers Have Landed (New York:  British Book Centre, 1953).  Accounts of his subsequent encounters with friendly Venusians and other extraterrestrials are found in his second and third UFO books, Inside the Space Ships (New York:  Abelard-Schuman, 1955) and Flying Saucers Farewell (New York:  Abelard—Schuman, 1961).  In these volumes, the California contactee describes his journeys to Venus and Saturn as well as a fly-by of the back side of the Moon, where he saw vast domed colonies tucked inside the ridges of craters in addition to vast spaceports.  

Adamski’s Arrival in Denmark

Petersen was pleased that Adamski accepted the invitation.  The contactee arrived at the Copenhagen airport on 29 April 1963 and stayed in Denmark until 15 May 1963.  SUFOI paid all of Adamski’s expenses and Petersen met him at the airport with both a SUFOI and Danish media contingent.  Petersen wrote about Adamski’s Denmark visit in his book, Report from Europe (Sunds, Denmark:  SUFOI, 1964), 179, in glowing terms:  

“George Adamski had a tremendous success in Denmark.  He did not meet one negative person, although he saw and talked to thousands.  He was given five minutes on the Danish state-controlled television.  They met him at the airport like they meet any official coming to the country, and he was also taken to an interview in the television house (broadcast station).

“He spoke to 700 people at the SUFOI Congress and he met people every day while here.”

After Adamski was settled in at his hotel in Copenhagen, he presented the keynote address at the SUFOI Congress in that same city on 5 May 1963.  Major Petersen, who was fluent in English, having spent some time with joint North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)-Denmark operations at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, rendered a Danish translation of Adamski’s speech which took the form of a summary at convenient intervals other than of a direct translation.  Time factors would not allow for a more detailed approach to the task, unfortunately.  His speech follows below:

Section I

I first want to thank you all for the fine courtesy you have shown me here in Denmark.

All you good people here, I am not here to convince you nor do I want you to accept what I have to say.  But all I want you to do is to listen to what I have to say and you can make up your own minds.

We all know the circumstances of the world, and that we are going through a period of transition which is actually a new way of life.  Every one of us will want the new way of life if we can have it, for it will be better than the present.

And as you well know, I was not the first man to be contacted by people from other worlds.  Yet I was the first man to be publicized as having such a meeting.

(Cosmic Ray’s commentary:  Adamski’s “coming out,” so to speak, about his contacts with the Venusians and other extraterrestrials, no doubt generated a lot of antagonism against him in the emerging “scientific” UFO community.  To some extent, the ridicule hurled at Adamski carried over into the subject of flying saucers, generally.  The newspapers of the mid-1950s through the mid-1960s tended to portray Adamski and the contactees that followed in his train as members of the so-called “lunatic fringe.”  Nevertheless, most ufologists will admit that Adamski played a vital role in bringing the subject of flying saucers as interplanetary spaceships to the public’s attention, capturing, as it were, the imagination of people from across the globe and inspiring in them a lifelong interest in exploring the UFO enigma and all the possibilities inherent in it.)

Section I continues:

I did not desire publicity; but when the contact was made and there were six other people there, the news was soon out.  Four of them, including George Williamson, were from Arizona; and when they returned, they took the story to the newspaper.  The paper tried to contact me, but I had no telephone so they went ahead with the story.  And it was written differently than I would have told them.  

Of course, from there on I was on the spot and there was no way for me to back out.  I am not a brave man, and I failed to consider the criticism that lay ahead from the critics and the people of the world.  It may be that had things taken place in a different way than they did, I would have withheld the information; but maybe not, for I had this to do.  

Now you all know how I happened to get into the picture; therefore, we will go from there on….

'US AIR FORCE' Emblazoned on UFOs: President Carter's Disclosure Attempt?

The witness recalls observing a UFO hovering over a freeway in Santa Monica, CA while stuck in traffic. He, his mother, and others recognized 'US Air Force' emblazoned on the craft.

I recently received the following account:

"I had a sighting in broad daylight in 1980 at around 9AM in early December. My mom and hundreds of other motorists witnessed it as well. We were driving to visit my father at his work in Beverly Hills and were waiting to hop on the freeway in Santa Monica when we saw your classic silver disk. It hovered completely still at about 150 feet or so, for ten solid minutes. Remember, we were crawling, slow as molasses traffic.

We got a very good look at this thing. On the underside was stenciled 'US Air Force.' It looked very official, and we assumed it had to be one of ours. Then, after hovering for ten minutes, it shot off toward the southwest like a bullet. I've never seen anything move so fast in my life. It was shocking. But I have a theory as to what the craft was doing there and why we witnessed it.

I don't know how familiar you are with Jimmy Carter on the issue of UFOs, but he is on record as having had a sighting of his own in 1973. Carter was no flake. He had a degree in nuclear physics and is a former Naval officer, retired at the rank of Lieutenant, which in the Navy is like the Army equivalent of a Major. Rank promotions are much harder and time-consuming in the Navy. Anyhow, Carter tried like hell to get disclosure during his presidency but was stonewalled. He knew he was being stonewalled. When you think about that, it's unacceptable that the nation's most powerful elected leader cannot declassify something that the public, the world, has a right to know about.

But what I've come to believe is that Carter ordered a captured or back-engineered UFO, with official Air Force insignia, to fly over a populated area, where thousands were waiting in traffic to get on the freeway, so people would ask the questions he couldn't find answers to.

Here's another thing, and if you haven't heard this, it's mind-blowing. Back in 1982 when E.T. was all the rage, President Reagan invited Steven Spielberg to the White House to give him a showing of the film. After the film, Reagan addressed the audience, made up of Spielberg and Reagan's closest advisors, and he was crying. He said, "Steven, you don't know how true this is. But my advisors here in this room do." AO

SASQUATCH Recorded on Forest Road in Northeast Vermont (VIDEO/AUDIO)

A northeast Vermont man and his passenger are driving through the woods on a dirt road when they encounter an apparent Sasquatch crossing in front of them. There is also audio of the creature.

This past summer, a carpenter (Ken) in northeast Vermont in the area of the White Mountain National Forest was driving on a dirt road through the forest. As he was driving and commenting, he and his passenger were recording on their phone cameras.

If you watch the video, at the 2:24 mark, a bipedal creature is seen crossing the road in front of them, at approximately 100 feet ahead. The driver comments on the creature and continues to drive forward.

When he reaches the area where the bipedal creature crossed the road, the passenger is able to record the back side of an apparent Sasquatch. The hair is somewhat long and auburn-brown in color. It is clearly seen in the sunlight and very close to the witnesses.

The driver stops his pickup and exits. As he does so, you can hear the Sasquatch making a deep mournful granning sound. This occurs 3 times and startles the witnesses. He immediately gets back into the truck and leaves.

The sound made by the Sasquatch is different than any that I have heard in the past. Was it a warning or an expression of fear? Very interesting. Your thoughts. Lon

In January 1973, fourteen-year-old Dolly Safran gazed out the window of her home near the Florida Everglades. Without warning, a UFO dropped from the sky and hovered in her backyard. To her shock, Dolly could see thin, gray-skinned figures with large dark eyes staring back at her. Frightened, she dived under her bed to hide. At that moment, her bedroom filled with a blazing blue light. The next thing she knew, morning had arrived. She was lying on the floor wearing somebody else’s pajamas. She had been taken, again. This was not her first episode of missing time. It had happened many times before. Only this time, something different happened. Dolly remembered. In fact, she remembered everything.
Over the next few days, Dolly recalled being taken onboard the craft, where she was examined by Gray ETs. She then had a long conversation with them, was given a tour of the craft, and was told she would soon be contacted again. Only a few days later, the ETs returned and took her onboard again. Dolly had no fear as she spoke with the grays, who reminded her that she had been contacted many times before. She was asked if she would like to work with them and learn from them, and what she would like to learn? Amazed by the opportunity, Dolly chose to learn how to pilot the craft. The ETs agreed.
So began Dolly’s lifelong experiences with the extraterrestrials. She recalled all of her earlier childhood experiences and finally understood what had been happening to her. She remembered being taken to another planet where she and other children were taught by the grays about a wide variety of subjects: science, history, philosophy, spirituality and more. More encounters followed.

Now an author, Anna writes creative nonfiction memoirs and anthologies based on first-person accounts garnered from people she has interviewed all over the globe as a travel photographer and antique collector. Anna’s books are all rated at 4.4 to 5.0 on Amazon.

Bizarre! BEAR VANISHES After Apparent Gunshot Strike by British Columbia Hunter

 

A British Columbia bear hunter describes an apparent 'kill shot' that he observed on a bear he sighted at less than 30 yards. He and his partner never find the carcass or blood, as if it vanished.

"In 1999, in spring, I was black bear hunting with a buddy. We hunted for spring bears for about 10 years. Most years we would punch two tags each and we enjoyed sausage from the meat, my favorite is pepperoni and garlic oil.

This was a sunny spring afternoon heading west on the Beaver / Bear Road east of Prince George, British Columbia. We see a tall lanky black bear happily shuffling towards us on the right side of the road. This animal had a beautiful dark chocolate, nearly black, long shiny healthy coat of hair and a white star of hair on his chest.

We stopped our vehicle and I got out. I got low and centered the crosshairs on the brisket. It was a perfect head-on shot at 30 yards or less. I use the 180-grain 300 Win Mag round. I saw the impact. The animal both turns to the ditch at the right and flip-slash rolls in the air dropping out of sight. We both move in and nothing. No bear. The forest road had an 18-inch high or greater berm on the edge and dropped four to five feet to a marshy area that was heavily covered in the prickly low brush which covered porous ice, about three to four feet thick. The animal should have been right there in the ditch dying or dead and it was not. Not even a drop of blood. No tracks. There was a very clear view for 100 yards around this spot. We both were experienced enough to know where it should be but nothing. It was as though this thing evaporated into thin air. I even checked a culvert but it was an 18-inch pipe that was two to two-thirds full up with ice.

I called back to my buddy who found a tuft of hair on the road. It was unusual hair and it even had a mix of white hair in it. There was no blood. No tracks. This bear had simply vanished. The hair confirmed to me that my shot hit its mark.

I had practiced often in those days including at point blank. It seemed practical to me to do so. A shot and seemingly dead bear could jump up as you move in close. I had even practiced turning the rifle sideways to sight alongside the barrel for accurate up-close shots. This practice was recommended to me by a friend who was a professional guide for his dad's outfit.

The entire event was unusual. The bear did seem oblivious to our approach. It also seemed to be happily shuffling a long leg, if a bear could skip and hop like a kid does. The back of it was easily four to five feet off the ground. I would like to hear your response."

NOTE: According to the description of the bear's demeanor, is it possible that this may have been a 'time slip' or 'interdimensional' scenario? Was the hunter peeking into another dimension or reality where the bear actually existed? He described seeing the bear reacting to the gunshot strike. If it was in another dimension, there should not have been a visual reaction by the bear or evidence of hair. Did the bear somehow 'enter' into another dimension after receiving the gunshot?  Very bizarre encounter.  Your thoughts? Lon

The Nexus of the MICHIGAN DOGMAN & GABLE FILM Deceptions

I recently received some information that is supposedly the basis for the infamous Michigan Dogman and Gable Film charade that captivated enthusiasts throughout the cryptid world.

Here is the account that I was recently told by an investigator who lived in north-central Michigan in the 1970s:

There were a group of loggers who, after a long day, settled around a fire. As they congregate at the fire they find themselves feeling watched. Apparently, someone or something was watching them from the tree line. Being loggers they decided to ignore it until the loudest howl that any of them had ever heard emanated into the campsite. Not knowing how near this canine was, they quickly made their way into their cabins.

The description of the cabins is a single-room log dwelling with bunkbeds and the door was tall to accommodate axes over shoulders. So it was about a seven-foot door with a small window about six feet up. The loggers now in the cabin begin to discuss the oddity of having wolves so close to camp. Then they heard the howl again. This time it was right outside the cabin. None of them had a gun at the time. They decided it was best to block the door and wait until sunrise in order to attempt to chase the wolves off. This is when they hear some guttural gibberish. The sound was something close to words, but not quite. The sounds made their way around the outside of the cabin until it reached the door. In the door window, they could see the face of a very large dog-looking thing peering at them! Immediately, some of the loggers began to pray while others were too shocked by the sight of the massive canine head. 

The wolf apparently retreated in the morning, but they can find no sign of wolves other than some very large paw prints around the cabin. But the prints suggested that this beast was bipedal.

From what I can gather, this story originated in the forests east of Traverse City, Michigan, sometime in the early 1970s. There was another account from the area around the Ottawa National Forest in the Upper Peninsula at about the same time period.

The first newspaper account of the 'Michigan Dogman' was published soon after in the Grand Haven Tribune. All of the conjecture eventually led to the infamous 'Gable Film' which was an elaborate, but somewhat convincing hoax. You can find more about the history of the Gable Film at this link. Lon

Numerous BIGFOOT INCIDENTS Recalled by Virginia Appalachia Resident

A southwest Virginia woman describes her various encounters with Bigfoot over several decades. There were incidental sightings and a few more that were scary.

The following report was recently forwarded to me:

"I live in southwest Virginia in the Appalachian Mountains. When I was a youngster I ran through the fields and the woods at will. But once darkness set in I would not even go near the edge of the woods.

At that time we had troublesome neighbors. One night while I lay in bed with the window open I heard bizarre laughter and commotion coming down the mountainside. It passed down through the valley. I'm laying there terrified. Then I hear what sounds like someone taking a hammer to a watermelon right outside my window. I refuse to look outside because I have no idea what it was. I don't think I slept at all that night.

Another strange incident occurred early in my marriage to my first husband. There were six of us that would hang out together. My brother and his girlfriend and his best friend and his girlfriend would hang out with us. On this particular day, we were going to meet at one of the two local campgrounds in the George Washington National Forest to hang out around a campfire and drink, generally having a good time.

On our way on the road to the camping area. We drove through one campground and we didn't see anyone. So we headed further up the mountain to the other campground, only to find that they were not there either. We sat for a few minutes trying to decide which campground to hang out in while waiting for them to show.

Soon, we heard a crashing sound coming toward us through the woods. We were on a knoll and it was dusk so we couldn't see what was making the noise. It was coming closer and getting louder and more violent. We decided that it might be best for us to leave not knowing what to expect. But in order to get out of the campground we had to go back to where the crash was coming from. This campground was higher than the road and as we made our way down I looked behind us right as my husband stopped. I thought I saw something. I even thought it was following us and my husband put on the brakes again. I couldn't see the gravel road. All that I could make out was a furry torso. I yelled that something is following us! So my husband floored it and we go fishtailing down this gravel road in a Chevy Camaro with whatever this thing was right on our bumper! I don't remember how long it followed us but my memory says one minute is the amount of time that it was right behind us and the next minute it was gone. I don't think we ever went back up there after dark.

The next incident is one that really creeped me out. First, I'll give you a little history of the road I live on. It follows a rather large creek that was once a railroad. The original road runs along the opposite side of the creek and crisscrosses back and forth across the creek. One section of the old road is called Red Banks because it's a red clay cliff that rises up from the creek and the road runs along the top of this clay bank. During the 1950s a man supposedly ran his wife off the road in her car at the spot and her body was never recovered. My brother claims that on certain nights you can hear her scream. I always thought it was a legend until one day during a break at the factory I worked at an elderly man walked up to me and commented that he heard I was from so-and-so county and proceeded to tell me about his daughter being murdered by her husband at Red Banks in the 1950s. This was in 1993.

Jump forward to about 8 years ago and this road is closed to traffic because the bank has collapsed again taking half the road with it. My son and I decided that it was a good place to take walks. The closed section is surrounded by woods on both sides and there are no houses. One particular day I decided to walk by myself. I passed the last of the houses and I slipped through the barriers and out of the bushes. My sudden appearance startled something and it took off running up the hill, but I didn't see anything. There was no movement. But its footfalls were bipedal as it ran up the hill through the dry leaves. I was standing there frantically searching for any movement and I saw none. The hair rose up on the back of my neck and I got goosebumps. Needless to say, I turned back and I never walked through there again.

Not long after that, we moved about three miles up the road to an area that's more remote. The house is surrounded on all sides by mountains and literally sits in a valley. You can turn a full circle and see nothing but woods towering over the house.

One day my youngest son and I had gone to visit my parents and stayed past dark. We parked at the garage which is about 50 feet from the house and closer to the road. When we exited the car we could hear crashing in the woods on the other side of the road. I stopped to see if any deer would appear. The crashing got louder and you could hear tree branches cracking. I remember thinking that's not a deer. Maybe it's a bear. The longer we stood there the more violent the sounds became and I realized that whatever it was it going in circles.

I immediately got a mental image of a Bigfoot. I looked at my son and I commented that maybe we shouldn't just stand there and he took off running. I yelled for him to wait for me and I took off after him

There have been other incidents over the years. I swear that I saw a big face looking through a window on 3 occasions. Regardless of what anyone says, Bigfoot live here." K

In January 1973, fourteen-year-old Dolly Safran gazed out the window of her home near the Florida Everglades. Without warning, a UFO dropped from the sky and hovered in her backyard. To her shock, Dolly could see thin, gray-skinned figures with large dark eyes staring back at her. Frightened, she dived under her bed to hide. She was asked if she would like to work with them and learn from them, and what she would like to learn? Amazed by the opportunity, Dolly chose to learn how to pilot the craft. The ETs agreed.
So began Dolly’s lifelong experiences with the extraterrestrials. She recalled all of her earlier childhood experiences and finally understood what had been happening to her. She remembered being taken to another planet where she and other children were taught by the grays about a wide variety of subjects: science, history, philosophy, spirituality and more. Father & Daughter Encounter 8-FOOT-TALL BIGFOOT Along Michaux State Forest, PA Trail

A local man and his daughter were hiking in Michaux State Forest. On this particular occasion, they encounter an 8-foot-tall male Bigfoot after looking back down the trail where they had just passed.

I recently received the following account:

"I was in woods almost from the time I could walk so I know every creature that lives in the forest and mountains around my home in Adams County in south-central Pennsylvania. I've even seen tracks of a couple of animals that the Game Commission say don't exist here, such as wolves and mountain lions. But the story I have to tell you isn't about any of those. It's about an encounter my daughter and I had in the Spring of 2019 with a Bigfoot.

"We were hiking in Michaux State Forest close to my home. We would do this at least once a week we always took the same trail, an unused forestry road to be precise. We would walk along the road for about a mile and a half to a spring that ran across it. There we would sit down and rest before we hiked back out. Sometimes we would bring something along to eat but most of the time we just sat there and listened.

She had gotten interested in a couple of YouTube channels about Bigfoot and gifting them. On the day in question, we had brought some apples to leave. I thought to myself some raccoon or deer is going to get a free meal but if it made my daughter happy.

We had just left the spring when my senses told me that we were being watched. I know that sensation because I have also been in combat. Being hunted is like no other feeling. I stopped and looked around. I didn't see anything and I turned to catch up with my daughter a few steps ahead of me. That's when I heard a slight coughing sound to our right. My daughter heard it too because I saw her eyes grow in size. She said, "What was that?" I said it's just the deer warning the rest of the herd that we're here. I knew that it wasn't a deer and so did she Just keep walking I told her. We started on again. We hadn't gone too much farther when a tree limb snapped behind us. It was pretty close, but off in the brush. We both stopped and turned toward the sound.

We stood there quietly looking into the dense brush for a couple of minutes when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. Turning my head I saw a creature standing about forty yards down the trail from where we had just come. My daughter saw it too. She took a deep breath but stayed quiet. We stood there looking at him (Yes. It was a male). He was about 7 to 8 feet tall, broad in the shoulders and he was very muscular. His hair was about three or four inches long and was a rust color. He stood there looking at us. He didn't make a sound. Neither did we after what felt like an eternity, but really was only a couple of minutes. H then he raised his left hand with the palm toward us and moved it like he was pushing something. My daughter and I just looked at him, then at each other, and then back at him. I shrugged. He made the motion again but this time he grunted softly this time. We got the message. He was telling us it was time for us to go. So we turned around and started walking. My daughter wanted to look back but something told me not to let her. So we just walked to the truck.

Once we reached the truck and before we could get in we heard a series of loud whoops coming from the area that we had just exited. We just looked at each other and promised not to tell her mother about this. If her mother had found out she would never let my daughter in the woods again.

We have been back to the area many times but have never come across anything other than one indistinct impression of a footprint measuring roughly 19 and a half inches long. Also, I have been there by myself. On one occasion, while I didn't see or hear anything, I got the feeling that I was not welcomed" J

NOTE: I contacted the witness and got the location of the encounter. It was along near Woodrow Rd, approximately 1/4 mile east of the Appalachian Trail. It's an area close to what locals refer to as the primitive campsite #4. There have been numerous sightings throughout the park in the past. Michaux State Forest is well-known for Bigfoot and cryptid canine activity. Lon
